American Legion Memorial Park is a large, clean, and peaceful outdoor space with plenty of open grassy fields and shaded areas provided by huge trees. The park overlooks Saratoga Passage, offering beautiful water views, and is a popular spot for visitors, especially during events like the Fourth of July fireworks. It features a spacious playground designed with safe and fun equipment suitable for children of different ages, including slides, swings, and a front loader toy that kids enjoy. The playground's design allows children as young as three to play comfortably alongside older kids, making it perfect for families. There are picnic tables and a gazebo with covered areas for gatherings, parties, or picnics. Restroom facilities are available and generally well-maintained. Visitors appreciate the park’s easy parking and accessibility, with some enjoying walking across the street to a cliff view perfect for photos. Dog owners find it friendly, with open grassy spaces ideal for playing fetch. Many visitors visit the park to relax, fly kites, or just enjoy the scenic views of the water and fields. The park also highlights the nearby Evergreen Arboretum and Garden, adding to its appeal as a beautiful and versatile outdoor destination for families, pet owners, and those seeking a peaceful retreat with stunning scenery.
Was there for the 4th of July? What's sort of disappointed in the fireworks? I was visiting from Tennessee, and my kids took me there. The entertainment was great.I think that we're run, but we left. When the fireworks started because it just wasn't what we expected.I would like to follow up.Talk to that

I was able to find a parking on 15th which is near my house and also near the bridge and so I went and stood on the bridge and watched the fireworks. It was really fabulous and I met some awesome people at Grandview Park

Incredible park, incredible view, incredible playground. Bathrooms were extremely clean and honestly the most updated I've ever seen in any city park.
