I was invited to the opening of Lifelong's relocation, as a guest, to their new facilities several blocks away from where they were before. Now that I've been to both locations, I like the new location better because it seems brighter, happier atmosphere and mood maker. The joint they moved from was nice, seemingly adequately provided the needs of employees for their daily takes as the support community members into clients but the lobby was strong, not giving, beautiful, sturdy and most of all dark. The furniture in the lobby was well kept deep dark wood based and trims and conditioned to shine and it did. I loved it even it's deep dark complexion was on point for another place time and reason, just not for Lifelong in my opinion but it was hot just dark. I could think of a few places I'd like to see that set up lol. Although the employees offices and hallways were always lit but it was very softly done and was dully comforting but may have complimented the clients moods at times. The new place is the now, the new black, it's lobby has half dozen sexy modern seats for client and a self serve coffee station filled w/ coffee's, creams and tea's and cold drinking water. All w/ a variety of flavors. It's neat and streamlined mod feel which leads to a community computer station equipped w/ an up to date PC provided by Lifelong for clients and community members to use for free. Next to the computer station is the resource station providing the most important resource list s that clients/community members alike can find so very useful and educational. I'm down to paper w/ helpful information on it lol and thought highly of the different kinds of support that section alone offers. There's a safe sex section w/ lubes, condoms, dams, hand sanitizers there to promote the urgency for safe/safer sex. Info on getting into recovery, awesome! It's bright, spirits float seemlessly, not rickety or seeming to stop and start often, quick then slow and moody, robotic. The employees office area is well lit but darker, cool joint w/ a call center vibe. That may be the only thing that area doesn't provide, total client privacy but case mangers and other staff have use of several stand alone furnished offices upfront they all can use if needed. The front desk area is very now and what I really like is the huge meeting room upfront equipped w today's tools to hold meetings, events, parties, client gathering sir a place for the town members can congregate for better causes, this is where they have their Monthly Friendship Meal on the last Thursday of each month, open to all w/ a facilitation of important learning topics that we all could find useful. THE FOOD IS SPECTACULAR! TIMES ARE 5PM TO 7PM. Collaborations for all the holidays and lots of cool gifts given away on these occasions. I don't know how everyone will receive the new location but I hope employees and clients alike integrate well. Oh I almost forgot, their kitchen is BAM! It's so big and nice, I could live in that kitchen. It's so pretty and so is the rest of the new location that's on the 1st floor of a huge building w/ other businesses on several floors, suite 100. What i don't like is its lacking parking I think since all guest to the relocating swarway had to park on the street of HILLS, good luck finding parking I have a few pictures for you.
