Staff is friendly, facility is well-maintained. Three stars due to limited hours for the pool. If you have kids in school, the pool is only open for family swim after school 8-8:45pm on weekdays. Family swim used to start at 7pm, and always had lots of use during that time, but that time is no longer available for use by families. 8-8:45pm is too late for many families with children who need to go to school the next day, so this means the pool is less accessible for families who aren’t tech-savvy, especially with how difficult the system is to get into for swim lessons.

I got membership here due to my daughter’s swim lessons. I ended up enjoying this place so much. Tons of group classes to choose from! The instructors are super friendly! I was also offered orientation of the gym and equipments. Working out is not my vibe but I’m thoroughly enjoying the group classes I take. I do Yoga, Zumba, Barre, Group Power and Group Active. Love each and every one of them. Yet to try Group fight but I’m sure that will be as awesome as the other classes! The front desk is always friendly and never miss to greet! A special shoutout to the girls at the kids zone! My 5 year old looks forward to go kids zone every single day. The girls at the kids zone are very cheerful and friendly with the kids. They sit and spend time with kids to teach them coloring and some art and craft as well. My daughter is always excited to show me her coloring pages and little craft projects she does there while I enjoy my group class.I just wish they had a Sauna here. I enjoy sitting in the hot tub sometimes after my class but Sauna would have been much better! But nonetheless, this place is loved by me and my 5 yr old.

Family oriented gym. It has a beautiful pool and hot tub. It has sport courts for basketball and pickle ball. Nice cardio and weight room. It has tons of classes taught by knowledgeable and friendly staff. It does get a little crowded but most likely it will have room for your workout.

I am so done with this place! Machines are in a constant state of disrepair. Even the few machines without OUT OF ORDER signs on them have operational problems. Tiny little gym area is always full. High school kids that are bussed in during the afternoons are always just standing around on their telephones and taking up space. It is simply impossible to get a decent workout at Mill Creek YMCA. The only thing that offers any value whatsoever about this gym is a mediocre set of group classes. Hard to understand how they can sustain their prices which are much more expensive than any of their close competitors. Avoid this place like the plague!

We used to do swim lessons here but their computer system made it extremely difficult to keep going, and we'd lose our spot for no reason. Phones go unanswered. If you can, make the drive to the Everett Y; it is drastically better.

Used to be a lot more water fitness classes to choose from with better times. Returned as a member recently and am very disappointed in the offerings and changes since Covid. They took them all away and now offer only one per day at horrible hours. Can’t find any silver sneekers, aqua Zumba or water yoga, etc. now it’s one class daily at either 7 am or 1:30. Alternating days. Those are Horrible times!! When I attended before there were at least two or three aqua classes a day and I could attend them back to back. Also, They used to offer a wonderful class to help with strength and balance for seniors on Wednesday. Those are all gone now. They used to have a lot more available for seniors . Not any more! And to make things worse, open gym for pickup basketball games are no longer allowed . We rejoined recently since quitting due to Covid. It is not the same and I am quitting again. Not worth it!

Bad experience with enrolling my son in the lifeguard certification program. I felt communication and engagement was lacking, but we got a refund before any real damage was done and can find alternatives elsewhere. The young lady at the front desk was personable and friendly.

My kids took swimming lessons through the YMCA, and at the Cottage Lake pool, the swimming lessons prepared my son for the swimming test so that he could use the water slide. No problem. We went to the Mill Creek location because they have a water slide. On the wall, they had a poster that talked about the different types of swimming tests/wristbands. Red, Yellow, and Green. Yellow was the type my son got at the Cottage Lake pool to use the water slide. Apparently, at this location, they don't do the yellow bands anymore even though they advertise them on the wall. So of note, the swimming area at the bottom of the slide is maybe 10 feet by 10 feet, it's not that big, and it's 4.5 feet, my son is over 5 feet and could easily touch the bottom. Anyway, my son went to take the swimming test, he had to swim the full length of the pool. Seems like a lot for such a small area but fair enough. My son swam the whole length of the pool without touching the ground. But, he failed the swimming test because he didn't do the crawl stroke, the only acceptable type of swim apparently? No one could explain why it had to be the crawl stroke. I thanked the lifeguard for his time, I realized he had no power over the rules. I reached out to the YMCA and got zero response. I can't wrap my head around why it HAS to be a crawl stroke for using that tiny area of the pool where he could touch the ground with his head above water, and when he swam the whole length of the pool. So thanks YMCA for teaching my son to swim, and then teaching him that what he learned wasn't good enough for the YMCA and now he never wants to go back there.

We were going to buy a membership for our entire family but after visiting to check it out I think we will pass. the hot tub was 97 degrees. and all but one jet was broken. the facility is ran by a bunch of teenagers who don't seem to care about anything and are down right rude. very disappointed.

Good YMCA. Smaller then some of the other Ys i’ve been to but it’s a good space to get a workout in.
