As a customer of this Safeway branch for 15 years and you just can’t get help you need is apparently difficult.
get help with my money orders that I purchased here and the accountant is so rude to the customer.
Lost money orders that has been lost totaling $2000 dollars

This review was meant for Safeway on Boston Street in Baltimore, Maryland. Employees are not that pleasant and don't seem happy with their jobs. Its Rare to see the store manager. And not uncommon to stand at the meat counter for 5 minutes without someone acknowledging your even standing there

I hate this store when I have to go there feels like zero trust. I get it's a sketchy area but the way things are done is excessive and alienates normal shoppers.
Only one entrance other one is always closed, got liquor wait forever for someone to bring a cart and slowly walk to front of store. Get deli food prepay at deli can't take to front cashier. Go to self check wait 5 more minutes for the one person to grab liquor from customer service. I will do anything I can do not to go to this store.

It's the worst place ever to go shopping, rude disrespectful lazy workers I have ever seen at night time,, You got time to lean you got time to clean, The U Scan area is just a mess and dusty on top of all the machines, trash and just stuff that can be cleaned.If your gonna stand there and do nothing cause it takes 3 people to do might as well make yourself useful, instead of just stand there and talk. It seems to me that store should be spotless,,just saying,, Im talking about front counter workers only not stockers they are working their butts off,
I'm so tired of this store ,and the night girl Sarah, she's lazy ,discussing nasty person i have ever come across, I had to take a BBQ pork back cause it was out dated to exchange it first she's gonna argue with me that I did not get it the day before ,I had the receipt so I go to get another one well they pulled all off them but 3 so I got the one that had a few days left before it expires. But mean while Sarah takes off with my receipt and the new guy training for POC tells me she went to the bathroom and he said you don't have a receipt o yes I do Sarah took it to rest room with her how discussing and unsanitary is that so I end up standing there 10 waiting on her,,The mangers don't run this store the employees do. Corporate might want to come in and watch the CAMERAS to see how many times Sarah goes out to smoke and what she does all night .I'm sure you will love where your money is going to pay that employee. Mon July 9th my husband can't even bag his groceries at dinner time cause no bags at uscan, 5:15pm Sarah out smoking when he got there, pretty nice to have to leave groceries in shopping cart how Awesome . But I'm sure corporate will apologize and say contact them on their page ,This is too much ,,instead of sitting behind a desk you might wanna go to this store and see what is really going on .while you look at your cameras see how many people walk out with their groceries cause nobody is running uscan at night..I watched 3 people do it on 4th of July while two employees sit out front , And the little gal working said I was supposed to be off at 10 pm but I have to wait till they come back in that was at 10:24 . The grey haired lady running customer service has problems too and is rude tells my husband to come back tomorrow cause she's off. Boy that when you really miss Linda that did customer service for years,. This store needs a attitude adjustment. And a Manger that can get her employees in control or fire out the ones that think their not replaceable..

I like the workers at this Safeway. One time I got stuck behind an older person who had loads of special concerns in the transaction. I was so impressed with the checker, he was so patient and kind to her.

I'm so sick of coming in this store on Wednesday and Thursday nights when Sara is working and claims to be the person in charge she needs some customer relation skills training, talk about the laziest, rudist, unprofessional, disrespectful, I would go on and on but I won't about this worker or claims to be a worker but will try to get out of doing anything she can and ask a person to come the next morning instead of doing her job right then when she should be doing it my girlfriend worked in that store for 7 years and knows what you should do and what you can't do and she passes every thing she can onto the next shift instead of doing a little work or makes it sound impossible to do then I really appreciate that she whispers into other workers ears while staring at you very disrespectful I will be going to any other store on them nights when I know she will be there "safeway" do something with this useless person please I may spend my money there again or at least get her that customer service training I don't think she has ever had any.
UPDATE, I WENT IN AGAIN TONIGHT TO BUY SOME GROCERIES AND FOR 5 DAYS I TRIED TO GET SOME CHOCOLATE MILK THAT HAS BEEN ON SALE AND IT HAS BEEN OUT OF THE GALLONS THAT WERE ON SALE FOR $2.47 A GALLON I ASKED A STOCKER THAT HAS WORKED THERE LONG ENOUGH AND HE SAID YOU CAN SUBSTITUTE 2 HALF GALLONS FOR A GALLON SAME PRODUCT NO PROBLEM AFTER 5 DAYS OF TRYING TO GET IT SO I WENT TO CHECKOUT I SEEN THAT PIC SARA WAS WORKING AND THOUGHT THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE GOOD AND SURE ENOUGH SHE DENIED THE REQUEST OF THE SUBSTITUTE AGAIN EVEN AFTER THE STOCKER WENT AND TALKED TO HER I LEFT MY CART WITH GROCERIES IN IT DIDNT SPEND THE 100.00 - 150.00 DOLLARS I WAS GOING TO SPEND BECAUSE OF THIS EMPLOYEE CONDUCT AND WE SPEND ABOUT 750.000 A MONTH THERE AND SHOP ALMOST EVERYDAY. I HAVE SUBSTITUTED THINGS AT ALL SAFEWAYS ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE OUT OF A PRODUCT AND HAVE BEEN FOR 5 STRAIGHT DAYS/TIMES I BEEN INTO THIS STORE DURING THE SALE THIS SALE ENDED TONIGHT AND WAS ANOTHER REASON I ASKED FOR THE SUBSTITUTE INSTEAD THEY LOST 150.00 OF MY DOLLARS TONIGHT BECAUSE OF THIS PERSON. I HAVE HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS PERSON I REALLY WANT TO LET SAFEWAY KNOW ABOUT THEM. I'M SO DONE WITH THE WAY THIS PERSON TREATS MYSELF AND IM SURE EVERY PERSON SHE COMES IN CONTACT WITH WOULD SAY THE SAME I WOULD FIND IT VERY ODD THAT THIS IS A ISOLATED INCEDENT. I WILL SHOP ELSEWHERE NOW AND MY GIRL FRIEND TRIED TO SUBSTITUTE THE SAME PRODUCT 3 DAYS EARLIER AND PIC SARA DENIED THAT REQUEST ALSO I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WORKED TONIGHT OR I WOULDN'T EVEN WENT INTO THIS STORE MY SISTER WORKS AT SAFEWAY HAS FOR 27 YEARS AND MY GIRLFRIEND WORKED AT SAFEWAY FOR 8 YEARS AND THEY HAVE SUBSTITUTED THINGS ALL THE TIME ESPECIALLY IF OUT OF A PRODUCT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME I ONLY BRING THIS UP BECAUSE THIS SARA IS THE RUDIST, MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, PERSON I HAVE EVER COME IN CONTACT WITH THAT HAS SOME POWER TRIP/ CONTROL THAT SHOULDN'T BE IN POWER OR CONTROL TREATING PEOPLE THIS WAY MAYBE SHOULDNT BE DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC AT ALL OR POSSIBLY EVEN FIRED. IF THE STORE DIRECTOR WANTS ANY INFO FROM ME AS SOMEONE THERE WANTED ME TO CONTACT THEM IN THE EARLIER POST I NEED TO KNOW WHO TO CONTACT I'M MORE THEN WILLING TO COME TALK TO WHOMEVER ABOUT THIS AND MANY OTHER ISSUES I HAVE HAD WITH THIS PIC SARA, PLEASE LEAVE ME A CONTACT NUMBER AND NAME IN THE RESPONSE AND I WILL CONTACT YOU. I WILL NOT BE BACK SHOPPING THERE AGAIN UNTIL YOU DO.

I WENT BACK SHOPPING AGAIN HERE I HEARD FROM SOME PEOPLE THAT PIC SARA TOLD PEOPLE SHE WAS MAD AT ME ABOUT MY POST, I WROTE HOW RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL SHE WAS SO I THOUGHT I WOULD ASK HER ABOUT THIS AND SHE SAID YOU KNOW YOU ALMOST GOT ME FIRED I DON'T KNOW SARA OTHER THEN SEEING HER HERE AT SAFEWAY I DON'T THINK SHE SHOULD BE SPREADING RUMORS ABOUT ME. I STAND BY MY POST AND EVERYTHING I WROTE I DID SAY IN MY POST I WOULD HAVE FIRED HER IF I WAS THE BOSS AND I STAND

I come here multiple times a day, and I'm schizophrenic.
Tonight I was at the u scan and a girl nexto me asked the attendant named Zach to help her with a "thing" that wouldn't scan. I said you mean the digital coupon. Then I said sometimes it won't scan but he can help you.. as I said help you he snapped at me and said "don't tell me how to do my job. "
1. I'm a loyal customer and wasn't even talking to him nor was I rude at all.
2 He should watch how he talks to people if he wants to act disrespectful and pressed.
I wanted to go off on him but didn't want to embarrass him by making him cry .
He should not be rude and dramatic for absolutely NO REASON

This store was perfectly fine 5 years ago. But post-Covid, it has turned into a store more concerned with combatting crime than providing good customer service. No security guards but a video device in the parking lot to keep us safe I guess. The small carts have disappeared twice, for months on end, because of “theft from homeless people” and when they return it’s in such small numbers that it’s impossible to ever get one. And hand baskets - forget it - they took those away bc of “shoplifters”. Let’s not forget they only have two check stands at most open during peak hours and self checkout is expected. The bathrooms are dingy and dark. The liquor is locked away on shelves far away from front of store and staff, and they never answer the call buttons to come help customers. They say “the buttons don’t work so we don’t know you’re waiting.” Well then fix the buttons! The staff are so bitter and fixated on averting theft, and customers are not a priority. The QFC just down the street has only gotten better since Covid. They always have baskets, small carts, open check stands, and someone available in liquor stand.

Went to the deli to buy some lunch meats for a family gathering the lady in the deli ignored me and 3 other customers for over 15 minutes while just walking back and forth behind the counter. Once she decided to talk to us she was rude and condescending.
When I placed my order it got worse she proceeded to question me why I needed 3 lbs of lunch meat "that's a lot of meat are you feeding a bunch of pigs or something "
We spend a lot of money at this store and needless to say I probably won't be coming back. This woman is always rude and mean to customers all of us there that day complained to customer service but they didn't appear to care
