Worst experience ever... Very expensive and incorrect treatment led to an extremely painful death experience for my small 11 year old terrier. There was no compassion and on top of that they would not credit me back for the expensive case of dog food! Unbelievable!

If I can give zero stars, I wouldDue to the improper nuttering with Pluto on October 24th and refusing to see him after you guys messed up, Ny cat was bleeding all over his kneel and wasn’t okay after coming back.I had to spend $400 dollars last night in the ER. Today I spent another $1200 dollars due to you guys refusing to see my cat. The clinic refused to fix the surgery or to check him out after everything that happened. The saddest thing is the excuse was that he’s aggressive which is false. My cat came out worse than when he came in. He is the sweetest thing in the world and the fact he was acting like this only at your place says a lot. Now you send the email checking up on Pluto hours later after he already went to the ER and the excuse was Lunch. Additionally, they didn’t want to communicate with me on email so they called me a few times just to give him medication. So again Thank you so much for traumatizing my cat and making me spend $1600 dollars. Moving forward I will not recommend anyone I know to your clinic. One thing I didn’t like is how you guys lie and miscommunicate. To be honest I felt scammed and felt like my cat wasn’t taken care of after the surgery. It shouldn’t have to take 3+ times to ask information about the aftercare or request to talk to the vet doctor. Last, some staff members really need to learn customer service skills and be more compassionate. Very unprofessional and Rude. Do not go here unless you want to spend more money on your animal due to their negligence and improper care to their animals.

I am Very happy with the service provided here and the staff was professional. All was explained thoroughly and pricing options were offered. They even let me borrow their carrier because mine would be too confining for an injured animal. That is above and beyond in my opinion.I highly recommend this hospital for your pet care.

Dr. Amy saved my dog!Last year, my little guy got tumbled over by an excited young heeler and dislocated several joints in his leg. After a costly emergency vet bill, improper treatment at another vet, and a couple bad petsitters later, his condition got far worse -- his leg was now necrotic (moisture in the splint) and he was obviously sick and lethargic with an extremely high fever. We called up A Small Animal Hospital on recommendation from a dog boarder friend and had no problem getting my dog set up as a first-time client the same day he needed to be seen. For the next several weeks, the team at A Small Animal Hospital saw my dog almost every single day, and every time I saw them, they were incredibly kind and caring. They did everything in their power to make sure my dog didn't need to get his leg amputated, where other vets said amputation would be the only option. His wound was treated, cleaned, and rewrapped every day, then treated with laser. They even tried a new bandage sample they'd gotten to see if it would work for the type of wound he had, and it did! Without it, he may not have recovered as soon (and as well) as he did. Dr. Amy told me that she was treating my dog as if he was her own, which instilled a ton of comfort and assurance. He still needed a surgery to fully heal, but it sure wasn't an amputation. Now he uses that leg better than he ever did before -- and he's so happy, bouncy, and excited all the time!! I'm not sure I'd still have him at my side if I hadn't called A Small Animal Hospital when I did.

Cute little place, staff is friendly and efficient. Dr Amelia is so sweet and attentive and fast, I appreciate her and her team's time and professionalism. They have pet food available for purchase at the lobby. Parking lot is small but it's plenty during your visit. Will definitely keep coming to Dr Amelia for my dog's needs when we're here.

I would give 100 stars if possible. The whole staff is amazing and provided top notch care while being straightforward about care and pricing. My puppy was puking and lethargic, I called at noon on a Saturday worried, spoke the receptionist about the situation. The vet herself took my phone call to assess the situation and determined he needed to be seen. She said they close at 1pm but she could see me. She even prepared me prior to coming in on what the costs and care would be.I arrive 20 minutes later and am seen within 30 minutes. After seeing my dog, she writes up a quote BEFORE any care is done. What she believes needs to be done today (iv hydration, anti nausea and antibiotic) and optional blood work and X-rays.My puppy is now feeling much better the following morning and her staff even called on Sunday, when they are closed, to ensure he is doing okay and let me know it was a bacterial infection and the meds given during the visit will take care of it.They answered all my questions, they never tried to upsell services, food or medication. They didn’t surprise me with an insane bill that I didn’t agree to. They were honest, caring and patient. No one wants to be in this situation, but I am so grateful that I went here. They turned a scary and stressful situation into a very positive experience. I highly recommend them!

What a refreshing feeling to not have too put your dog to sleep because you can't afford the blood work or x-rays, to find out what is wrong with your pet. I really had a vet I shall not name but is in Sumner, tell me well we can put your pet to sleep since you can't afford blood work. Dr Any really cares about her pet patients and their parents she is willing to work with you if your going through some financial hardship, it's not all about money at this clinic. She saved my Fats fats life and made my Brookie feel better. The staff is efficient and very polite and friendly. I have told all my family and friends to bring their pets here! Thank you so much Dr Amy!

I wanted to share my experience with "A small Animal Hospital" and it was nothing but traumatizing..My mother took our family dog (17 years old) to be evaluated because she wasn't feeling too well and was not being herself. At first our experience was great, the team was accommodating to assisting our family animal and educated us on what had happened to her. As we received her results we found out that she was anemic and also found a penny that was stuck in her digestive system and was very toxic to animals. The vet ended up recommending that we make the decision to put her down, due to her age her rate of survival was very slim and didn't think she would even make it past anesthesia. She told us that the longer we waited the more she'd suffer so of course we listened to her. Our entire family came together to make this decision for her because we did not want her to suffer in the end and we wanted to her to go peacefully. The next day we scheduled to euthanize our family dog and our whole family came there to be there to say our goodbyes and be by her side to watch her go.The vet came in and explained to us that everything would happen quickly, but our dog was fully aware and awake of what was going on. Trusting in this doctor we thought she'd sedate our dog before she was euthanized that way she can go peacefully. Just like we wanted..Right before the injection we stopped to say our final goodbyes and the vet gave us an attitude slamming her hands on the table then saying "Are you ready now?" which was already alarming and putting stress on our family dog...As soon as she injected her our dog did NOT go peacefully she suffered and it was complete opposite of what we wanted for her from the beginning.. Our dog was squealing and totally distressed and it was traumatic and a VERY HORRIBLE experience My siblings were in the room along with my mother witnessing all of this and now we leave this vet clinic traumatized and mortified that our dog left this world with fear in her eyes....I do not ever recommend this vet and I will never forget the experience we had here...

The receptionist came off as very rude when I called requesting records. She told me that there is more than just the one patient I was calling about being served and that it would take time because they are busy there. I can completely understand that but the way she went about it was extremely unprofessional. I was just checking in as it is my job to do so after over 48 hours. I would not personally bring my pets to a place so overworked that they conduct business in this manner over the phone.

A huge thank you to A Small Animal Hospital. They got me in for a last minute urgent care appointment for my cat. While my cat’s outcome was not good, they supported me and helped me with all the decisions I needed to make. I never felt rushed, they were extremely upfront about all pricing, and I could tell there would no guilt for any decision I made. They supported me through the process and answered all my questions. Through X-rays and bloodwork, they were able to come up with a pretty firm diagnosis. I appreciated all the incredible staff there and the vet is amazing.I highly recommend them if anyone needs animal care.

Wonderful place! Very impressed by dr Amelia Besola work. She made sure that the paperwork for international travel for our dog were completed in time. She answered thoroughly every question we had during the appointment and replied by email to the additional questions I had even after the appointment. All in all it was a wonderful experience!

Absolutely love this vet & everyone who works here. They were suggested by my brother-in-law and I wish we'd known about them sooner. Everyone is so friendly. You can tell they really do love animals. They give treatment & pricing options and are quick to reply to emails. They are everything our last vet wasn't. Plus the office cats you can hangout with are so loveable and an added bonus when you are worried about your pet. 5 stars all the way!!
