Because of a discrepancy in their system, they wouldn't help a person, who was struggling at the time, to open up an account. What was incorrectly reported by a credit union was different than what the customer correctly reported, verified with proof of receipts & this branch of Banner Bank chose to believe the credit union over the customer. It was as if the credit union & Banner Bank were in league with each other.

BannerBank ATM gave me torn 20$ bill. I went inside with that bill - and they REFUSED to replace it!!! Very next day my husband took this same bill to his (another one) bank - and THEY TOOK IT with no problem!

I have been a customer for many years, today I came in with my son to put my son on my account after he received a large Graduation gift M.O. from his grandmother. I wanted to deposit it into my account, but I needed him to be on my account in order to do so. There was only one teller and one manager in the whole bank, no other customers, no one in parking lot, no one waiting. Teller said I would need to come back tomorrow because she was not authorized to do paper work nor was the manager (who was standing right next to her- must of been new ,I have never seen him before). She said she could make appointment for tomorrow. I said no I will just stop by. She then told me to call to make sure there was someone to do the paper work. Really? Why offer me to make appointment if I am having to call first? Later that day after I left the bank I was looking online on my account and noticed a $4.00 service fee. I called the branch Manager to find out what this was about, he simply told me my account balance was below $500 and that's why I got charged. I've never been charged before when my account was below this amount, was this something new? He did not go into any details and said it's always been like this. Not satisfied with his answer I called the 800 # and an Agent was kind enough to explain why. I had not received a letter that was mailed in April. At least I received good customer service over the phone and he reversed the fee for the service charge as a courtesy.With companies cutting back on employees, you think they would cross- train them and manager to do a simple task so to provide good customer service.

We recently closed on a first lien HELOC and with Tony Palermo’s management, the process moved along very efficiently. The customer service and convenience has gone significantly downhill the last year or so at the Federal Way Banner Bank. I will be closing my account at this branch and taking my business elsewhere. I'm thinking Home Street in Federal Way. The people that work here are impersonal, take forever to do a simple transaction, BB technology is so out of date while others are at the cutting edge, they don't pick up the phone when you call during business hours. I would not want nor recommend expanding your banking portfolio services here. Lastly when there's a problem they have no solutions and the employee has to ask another employee who has to ask another employee and then a manager to get simple things done. It sounds a bit archaic and doesn't seem like this company wants to give training to their employees to get the job done efficiently for the customers.

I was floored that the fraud cap could not be raised outside of banking hours. The call center was worse than unhelpful. My money is basically being held hostage. We told the rep when we opened our account that the money was for one use - home improvement and that we would be making very large purchases. I assumed that we would need to call to clear these. To be told this could only be done during normal business hours (which are very very short and when most people are working) came as a shock. We had to void the transaction entirely and nearly an entire Saturday wasted among screaming children in an over-crowded and noisy IKEA, which doesn't take checks. I doubt this will ever get paid for. THANKS BANNER BANK, I just love using my appliances from the early 80s.

Federal Way ATM not taking deposit transactions. I have never had this issue. Need to make deposit so I can pay my bills that are due today and tomorrow. Thought about driving way out of the way to next location, worried that ATM same issue. Ugh...they need to be open a few hours on Saturday like other banks. 😕
