I cannot say enough great things about the Haven Property Management team! Working with Tyler Brenneman and his team was a blessing in today’s rental market. Always kind and quick to handle any situation. They really value and put their tenants first, I’ve never had any issue that Haven didn’t go above and beyond to fix. Unfortunately, the owner later sold the property and Haven was no longer managing my unit. I noticed a decline in services and communication after the new owners took over management; I chose not to resign my lease because of this. I normally don’t write reviews but Haven really set the bar high so if you find a property you like and it’s managed by Haven, take it! You're in great hands!

Renters Beware! Property Owners Beware as well!
Aug 30, 2024 Update: This management company is negligent in handling its duties. They will allow the property value to decrease as this company fails to respond to emergent mishaps that will likely occur. I have been requesting that the fence be fixed since March, which is an urgent matter. My service dog was missing because of the fence. Despite a fence break-in that led to a police intervention, they still haven't sent maintenance out to fix the fence. It is 6 months later, and maintenance still has not been out to fix the fence. I will NOT be renewing my lease here. It is unfair that I, as the leasee, assist in maintaining the property value, but they need to meet their residents halfway, thus negatively impacting the property's value. Never again!
After I shared photos on google, withheld my rent and submitted an intent to vacate per RCW 59.18.070, they were willing to send maintenance out. This company is a disgrace. I am counting down the days for when my lease ends.
It's worth noting that the company attempted to influence my Google review by offering a Starbucks gift card as a bribe for a positive review. The company wanted me to edit my review. No Sir!
Richard was a very rude individual. I avoided this property management company because of this rude property manager. He lacks professionalism and is very dismissive of Black people. For my housing appointment he told me to wait outside so a white couple could walk in and view the property. The appointment was my appointment. The only reason I was allowed to walk through at the appointed time was because the applicants told him I could walk through. He treated me very dismissively until the other applicants did not want the property. He didn't even know that I met all the rental criteria. He judged too quickly. After they walked through they were not impressed so he called me and his whole demeanor changed. He treated me in a way I will never forget. Business is business and he placed an extremely bad feeling in my gut to where I was defensive and on all my P's and Q's if I were to move forward. Not everyone has the wherewithal as I do. Mr. Hernandez was too comfortable with acting rudely which is exemplary of the company environment.
Though, after posting this review Mr. Forrest reached out and was willing to fix the situation. Since the home was decent, I told them I'd be willing to move forward if I did not have to deal with Richard in the future. The day of signing, the doors would not lock and a few other items were not complete. So I told them I was not going to sign the lease until those items were fixed. Eventually, Haven Property Management was willing to fix a few of the issues so I can sign the lease. This is business, the house was on the rental market for over 40 days. If it were not for Richards rudeness I would have not been so defensive in order to sign the lease.
I only signed the lease because the property was located less than a mile from my uncles house. Though, this house is in one of the worse parts of Tacoma, I am equipped to protect myself as a military retired veteran.
Richards first impression was definitely my last impression of the entire management company. This will always be my impression.

My experience with Haven Property Management has been amazing – they've totally changed my expectations for what good customer service looks like in this industry.
Right from the start, Dustin went above and beyond. When my first rental fell through, he didn't just throw a few random options at me. He took the time to find places that really fit what I was looking for. It was a level of personal attention I'd never seen before from a rental company.
And the communication? Top-notch. They answered all my questions quickly and actually seemed to care about any concerns I had. It was such a relief compared to the usual frustrating runaround you get with rentals.
They don't just forget about you once you sign the lease either. The whole team is super responsive whenever something needs fixing. I even got locked out of my place once after a late flight, and they had someone there to help in 30 minutes! That showed some serious dedication.
Even when I'm traveling, they always make sure to keep in touch. It's clear they really care about their tenants, and that's hard to find.

We have been with Haven Property Management for almost a year now and they are probably the best Management company we've ever worked with. They are so kind and family oriented. I know that no matter what I need they will come through to help us out.
Highly recommend!

The processes & staff at haven has been refreshing. I went to a showing at 1639 s 374th, and even though I decided to not move forward, the process from first calling, to setting up the appoitment, to getting questions answered at the property was seamless. Tyler was very helpful, responsive even after-hours, and educational. He gave us tips on how to better our approval chances for other properties in the future.

A Nightmare Experience: Avoid This Property Management Company at All Costs
I had the unfortunate experience of working with Haven, and it has been an absolute nightmare. From the moment we signed the contract, it was a disaster. We were stuck with Dustin, who turned out to be nothing more than a liar who repeatedly deceived us for five months.
Dustin lied about everything he was doing. He assured us he was checking on the house regularly—this was a blatant lie. He claimed there were potential tenants interested—another lie. He led us to believe he was scheduling necessary repairs, but of course, that was another lie. Dustin also claimed he was scheduling and hosting showings with prospective tenants, but our security system indicated that nobody had been in the house for nearly a month during these supposed "showings." Essentially, as soon as the ink was dry on the contract, Dustin vanished. Communication became vague, and our property was left to sit without any attention.
One of the most egregious examples of his dishonesty was when Dustin told us that the garbage and leftover items at the property had been taken care of. A month later, when we were finally able to verify this ourselves, we discovered everything was still there, untouched. This level of negligence is not just frustrating—it's completely unacceptable.
Haven may try to sell you on their past reputation, but don’t be fooled. They are clearly exploiting whatever goodwill they once had to mislead unsuspecting clients into thinking they are a reputable company. The individuals they contract with, like Dustin, prove otherwise. When I spoke with James and Forrest about our concerns, armed with documented proof of Dustin's incompetence and deceit, they did nothing to make it right. Their lack of accountability and refusal to address the situation speaks volumes about the true nature of this business.
This is not a case of one bad apple. Take a look at the one and two-star reviews for this company, and you’ll see a pattern. They are lying snakes who don’t give a damn about you, your property, or even their own reputation apparently. If you’re unlucky enough to be assigned Dustin as your manager, just read through the other review about him from 2021—it’s clear Haven should have taken that as a warning, but it’s evident they don’t care about the liability that comes with working with such sketchy characters.
In summary, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Haven. Your property, your tenants, and your peace of mind deserve better than this sorry excuse for a management company.

I work with Haven Property management quite a bit and I have rarely experienced the level of commitment to the customers and owners in this industry. Tyler, Tim, and Kimberly are at it every day making sure that the properties they oversee are top notch, well-cared for, and professionally managed. It is a pleasure working with the team at Haven

Thank you James Hernandez for all your efforts and professionalism. Not sure if people are able to request an individual, but I would definitely recommend James for his dedication to clients, and his integrity and honesty.

These are some crooked characters. Avoid at all costs. I call to facilitate the move out of my unit 4 weeks in advance in hopes that quick turn over for work orders could result in potentially some prorated return for rent for the month, however meager to assist in moving out of the Seattle area and returning to Texas. Instead the management company sat on their work orders, blocked my facilitation of having a sofa/chair/table donated to Goodwill, lied about it to me, and exaggerated the state of the unit. Suddenly, I am looking at a bill in excess of my security deposit for the unit. of the itemized points on the bill that stand out is a charge for 80% of carpet replacement. For over $1100, the carpet was replaced, they cited pet soilage beyond cleaning, which was an absolute falsehood. Additionally, I had paid for a pet deposit of $500 and an extra $100 a month for that animal. That's over $1700 a year more for that very reason should it have been necessary. Why would someone pay more for a pet if not to offset the potential issues with the carpet?!?! Additionally, when I confronted the regional manager about this she doubled down on her lies that the unit was in an unreasonable condition, further adding to the growing list of dishonest tactics that she was now guilty of including lying that Haven would allow the donation team access to the unit to pick up the sofa/table/chair. When I asked the regional manager about this she stated that "the donation team stated that the items were not 'fit' or in a 'condition' that could be reused," implying they wouldn't accept them, when in fact, after contacting the team, they were never let into the unit to begin with, despite the regional manager's statement to me on the phone that if they were contacted they could let them in. Ok, so you're a liar. Let's take a further step back on the carpet. When I first started my lease at this unit in Bothell, Washington, I didn't have a washing machine for a week because a new one was being ordered. No consideration for compensation was even thought to be discussed. When THEIR vendor delivers the washing machine and hooks it up. They FLOODED the condo unit!!! Then they send out the fan team to dry and mitigate the flooding. FANS GOING FULL BLAST FOR A WEEK AND A HALF!!! Baseboards ripped off the walls throughout the unit, those carpet tack strips ripped up throughout. NOT A WORD OF CONSIDERSATION FROM MANAGEMENT! I HAD TO FACILITATE THE REMOVAL OF THE FAN UNITS MYSELF, AS WELL AS THE BASE BOARDS, ETC.! When this was brought to management's attention at the time of leaving my lease, she stated that "she wasn't here when that happened." YOU CAN'T BE A LEADER IF YOU PASS THE BUCK! Regardless, these people can talk to my attorney. I was paying a pretty standard rent right at $2000 for a dump of a condo that was not built to current construction code, and had zero amenities, and was located out in the sticks of Bothell, WA. Now I live in the city, near night life and attractions, in brand new construction with a gym and a sweet pool, and cabinetry that doesn't look like it might have asbestos--all for $1200 a month. AVOID HAVEN AT ALL COSTS! Shysters 100%. And get yourself out of the PNW, while you're at it. You're being lied to and ripped off.

If i could give them zero stars
I absolutely would. Kept us in limbo for a whole entire week with zero communication unless we contacted them first and even still ignored all of our phone calls, emails and text messages and got back to us days later. It made us feel like we were bothering them and our current landlord even agreed it shouldn't have taken that long. They made us feel like we had a chance but in all actuality we did not and they could have told us that from the beginning instead of wasting my time. Everyone's time is valuable not just yours and you should treat people as such.
