If there is one thing Massage Envy is really good at it is justifying not getting a membership with them. I'm always reluctant to schedule an appointment with them because I know they don't pay their staff well and I'm not sure if that is why their therapists are just ok.I probably wouldn't have written a review but I really feel like many of my problem areas which I told my therapist about weren't even touched... literally. He also spent an awfully long amount of time on my lateral posterior ribs. I don't know if he was feeling lots of knots in my intercostals or what. I mentioned overworked tendons in my vastus lateralis, medialis, biceps femoris tendon, and peroneals of my right leg where I have a meniscus injury and of those muscles he only made contact with the biceps femoris. No quad work, no adductors, no peroneals, no anterior tibialis, no anterior abdomine. He did get into my pec minor like I had asked but no pec major. Didn't get into the rotor cuff or to any arms beyond the delts. I don't know if it was a time management thing but full body doesn't mean full posterior chain only.I left the pressure level up to him, specifically stating that he can go deep when appropriate given the nature of my imbalances and tightnesses and he took that to mean deep for the whole thing with very little warm up. I'm used to deep pressure but it wasn't smooth or graceful. There wasn't much flow from one stroke to the next. Maybe it was that he wasn't making any effort to connect with me through mirrored breathing or even timing his strokes with my breathing. I actually think he might have been bored or ready for lunch, I don't know.Again, I know he's getting paid a fraction of what I paid but even so, I have worked in service (I'm a personal trainer) and I recognize that PT and massage are very expensive so I always try to make sure I'm worth what is being spent even when I had corporate overlords taking most of what I bring in because I don't know what the financial burden of my service is to my client. Evil corporate empires are a stepping stone for new practitioners so it's best to use that time to refine your craft and I just didn't feel that attitude today.

I really needed the stretching that Winter provided. Winter’s responsiveness and techniques provided increased flexibility without over extending my muscles.I will definitely return, any would only wish there were four Winters to allow for more available appointments.

The front desk are unwelcoming, snubs! I didn't get any answers. They seemed to judge my appearance. The way they talk to me, like I can't afford their price! Whatever B!
