Great place! I probably spend more than I should, but the deals are too good to pass up.

Now that JoAnnes is going out of business, Micheals doesn't feel the need to compete. No more 30% off coupons? That's fine. I'll go to Hobby Lobby instead.

Not enough people on the floor to help with products that need a floor worker to get off the shelf. The gift box was supposed to he on aisle 60 according to online store and it was about 4 rows back. Made a short trip into a 40 min run for 2 products.

Lately the store changed the checkout system. When my friend and I went to buy some art supplies, we had to use Self Check out, and there was no cashier. We had to look for cashier to ask some questions and she came to tell us we had to scan first and use the coupon and walked away. It was not a pleasant experience and we hope that there would be human cashier for people like us who is not comfortable to use machine.

A good place to get craft supplies, but sometimes items are out of stock and they're moving towards more and more self-checkout, so the experience is a little less personal than it used to be.

I was visiting in the afternoon Sunday, Mother’s Day, May 12th. And I was disgusted and appalled by the lead or manager (I believe) her name was Emily? Mainly, her unprofessional demeanor, her attitude and tone towards the cashier was uncalled for in front of customers.
No one deserves to be belittled and treated so poorly. She was condescending and rude for no reason. No employees ever get paid enough to be treated like that.

The self-service only check out is ridiculous. The carts aren't allowed to leave the store policy is ridiculous. None of this was thought out with disabled or senior folks in mind.
Carts are not allowed out of the store. If you can not carry your items in your arms, then that's on you. I had my cane, and it did not matter. I had to awkwardly carry the 2 bags I had purchased of blank t-shirts to my car luckily in the disabled parking in front of the store.
Before this, I watched as the front desk self service help associate told a senior woman next to me to purchase some 50-cent bags for her 2 large picture frames to make it easier for her to bring the frames to her car. Repeating that carts may not leave the store. This woman had less strength than I and looked annoyed and frightened. This is after she had already paid after finally finished figuring out the check-out screen by herself and lost her discount after failed attempts at putting her membership information in and scanning a coupon code. She asked for help, and the associate said to restart the transaction, and she lost her coupons due to this.
It was really bad customer service. Had I not already been juggling my own issues with my items, I would have tried to help the older woman.
The associate reiterated carts are not allowed to leave the store and then made the senior pay 55 cents (5 cents is the tax) in change for a bag before giving it to her then walking down to the next customers confused by the self check-out system.
I will not come to this store again. None of the other Michaels I have been to have these policies that are really anti disabled and senior customers. They should really rethink who a large part of their customer base is made of.

Asked to use the restroom for my 2 years old kid but the cashier rudly said No. The restrooms are closed. What do you mean closed? There are a lot of people with kids and this is the most logical thing a store should have available.Very disappointed ??????

Store is Not Handicapped Or Disability friendly. Most other Craft Stores have Wheelchairs or Motorized Carts for Disabled People to Use.
