This place is NOT a locally owned establishment. They are corporate owned. It shows in the way they try and shove their "paw plan" down your throat. They were very pushy about it. It also comes with a contract...NOPE. They quoted us just under $3K for some dental work on our dog. They insisted that if we had the "paw plan" it would be cheaper. Smarmy tactic and extremely transparent. Got a second opinion from a LOCALLY owned and respected vet, further away, however but worth the drive. This vet (Renton) got on the ground with our pets which showed she cared and quoted under $1K for the same work. If you want more personal care, no contracts pushed on you, and more fair pricing, go to Happy Tails in Renton.

This is a long one.Normally, I don't write these but I thought I would give a drop here. Originally I would've given this place 5 stars, I have 2 regular vets there for my cat and previously she was treated with respect and they both seemed to have a liking to her and the feeling was mutual. She was brought in and they didn't inform us we'd have a different vet, Dr.Lee. I'm currently sitting at an emergency vet, because Dr.Lee completely disregarded my cats fractured but healing tail(said it was fine and not broken while every time they touched her butt and tail she hissed) AND THEN tried to up sell a 2000 dollar tooth cleaning. 2000 dollars for plaque removal. To explain how obvious the broken tail was, she had a massive knot on the bone towards the base, and I, as a none vet was able to not only correctly diagnose but feel it with my bare hands which is how I caught it in the first place. Between when it was broke to her vet appt it had slightly healed enough for her to lift it. I'm absolutely appalled to say the least. She was hissing at Dr.Lee whenever they touched her tail, she's only ever done that once to my knowledge after an invasive surgery, and definitely never in the small patients room with her owners with her.I normally recommend this vet to anyone who will listen but now it'll have to include a "if the vets name is Lee, just outright walk out." The rest of the staff I've met including the front desk have always been super duper nice and considerate. And it's the only reason it's not a 1 star. I would've never expected this from this place after how kind everyone is. But completely disregarding obvious pain AND trying to up sell a plaque cleaning for 2000 DOLLARS all at once had me livid. To top it off I've never seen a vet so jumpy around any of my animals before. Do better. To most people, animals are family members and if I wouldn't let a family member be disregarded I wouldn't let my cat either. Most people probably feel the same.

They were all extremely patient and kind. They seemed to really enjoy our baby (dog) and the story of her best friend (kitty). ?

Very friendly staff, Vets seem competent and attentive. They did a great job with an emergency visit I had recently. My only complaint is all the pet hair everywhere.I’d suggest a decent little stick broom and hitting the lobby & rooms a few times a day.Im slightly allergic, no biggie, but tons of cat & dog hair.

Was on the hunt for a new vet so I thought I'd give them a try; worst mistake ever!!! After being shamed for what the vet call bad overall health she did nothing but give my boy anxiety meds. Took him to a different vet today turns our he has a bacteria ear infection. Mind you the vet at sacajawea said his ear were fine since they tested for a yeast infection.

Sorry for the novel, but these concerns still weigh on my mind....Really tried to like this vet. I chose them for their longevity in the area and reputation. They where very kind when my older dog passed away at home, they allowed me to bring his body in and pay for cremation a few days later.I thought "how great, what a nice place" until days passed after payment without word. Then a week passed and no one called me to return my boys ashes.or update me on a time frame. Turn around for this is generally a day or two. I waited almost 2 weeks to recieve my boys ashes back. Which was devastaing as I had him 15 years. When I got a new pup, I sent in all his records, from both rescues, and made an appointment to continue his puppy vaccines. I sent them a good week before my appointment, so the vets and techs would know what he needed at his appointment like what shots and boosters. At the appointment , neither the tech or vet seemed to know what boosters to give, like they hadn't seen the records. They also did not establish care for my dog in a thorough manner.Neither vet or tech asked me about his EDDU habits, what he eats or how much, did not check his ears with cone. Did not check his eyes with scope, did not check his skin,Paws, or really any external palpation of his body/belly/joints. Just seemed like a rushed and basic brush over exam.At the end of The Visit when I got my rabies vaccine certificate. They missed age my dog by two Months, claiming that he had molars.... the vet had looked in his mouth a whole 2 seconds, seeing his premolars. they obviously didn't look at both sets of records from both rescues, He was born into, They simply decided that he was twenty weeks old instead of twelve weeks. That can be a dangerous distinction in age for a puppy who is learning to socialize and trying to get into classes as a pitbull breed. Even though when I emailed the doctor, they did email me back, Apologizing and said they would amend it. I never received an amended vaccine certificate with the proper age.Furthermore, a month after this visit. I got a phone call from somebody in reception. Claiming they had "found my dog's records and would send them to me"I had to email them back, explaining i was the one who.sent them in.On the subject of parasite prevention ,since my dog and his Litter came from texas, A heartworm test was required at age one because you can't test earlier than that. Even though the vet prescribed me a flea tick and heartwarm preventative pill, And my dog received that monthly preventative from three months old to a year, When I went back to get more prevention after he turned one, They refused to give me the same product. Claiming that it was dangerous to give the dog the heartworm prevention (that he had been on the last 9 months. Mind you) Without the blood test for heartworm. I understood that in a dog that had not been monitored or previously treated. It can be very dangerous to give preventative to a heartworm positive dog. But that was not the case with my pup.Lastly, After confirming with the reception team, it was okay to come in and weigh him as he grew over the year, To ensure he was getting the proper dose of preventative, I was later informed that I have to call ahead to make an appointment to put him on the scale in the lobby. Even though they don't charge for the appointment. The last time I was in. I had to wait a half hour for an assistant to weigh my dog and then get me a preventative. The last Visit, they refused to give me the same preventative He had been on, even after I explained that he was having a sensitive stomach issue. And I'd like to stay with the same thing. After administering the new prevenative, He was violently ill and at that point I ended my relationship with this vet and moved on to better care.I do appreciate the kindness of the reception team especially damian, But after so many mishaps, I am very uncomfortable. Leaving the care of my animals to clinic.Kindness does not equal quality care.

All of our visits have been excellent and we have received wonderful care for our Anatolian Shepherd mix. This week (at 2yo) he went in to be neutered. The front desk staff were helpful and provided a cheerful caring environment. Our Vet Tech was kind and caring with our nervous pup. She took care of him all day to ensure his comfort. We were contacted when he went under anesthesia and we received an update after surgery from the doc. Discharge was smooth and all meds were ready to go home with our groggy doggie. The next morning we got a check in phone call. I have to say, as a life long pet owner, this has been my BEST vet experience. We are big fans of Sacajawea Veterinary Hospital and will be patrons for a long time to come.

Our dog got a skin infection and had us worried to death- Sacajawea Veterinary Hospital responded proactively and with as much concern and compassion for our dog as we did. They arranged for our visit within two hours of our initial phone call and were able to diagnose and treat Shady (our dog) promptly and at an unbeatable (and shockingly inexpensive) price. If ever we are in need of emergency assistance for our pets in the future, this is definitely where we intend to go. Highly recommended!

My dog cracked a tooth over Christmas weekend. They were able to get us in as a new patient for an exam on the 26th and surgery on the 27th. The whole team was amazing and treated my dog with the utmost care. I will be happily returning with my dog for any future issues
