"I came to Sole Perfection because my doctor advised me to get shoes here. The staff at this location was very rude right from the beginning. I have never felt more judged. The African American woman with short hair, who assisted us, gave me a hard time for wearing men's size shoes. I explained it was my preference, but she said, 'Well, that's the problem.' Despite never having an issue before at other show retail store, I won't tolerate being told what gender shoes to wear. It was a very disappointing experience. I'll avoid this store, and I won't recommend it due to the disgusting behavior, lack of professionalism, and respect. Just sell me the shoes, it's that simple."

Employee wasn’t helpful with shoe selection nor was she knowledgeable. She acted as though I was bothering her by asking questions. Terrible service. Go to Gentry’s in Kent before wasting any time at this store.

Sales people very nice, and work very hard to find the right shoes for you. They work very hard and are very respectful.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a helpful loyalty program. Very busy and always seem to be a wait to get help, then another wait to check out, and more often that not, don't have a full inventory of sizes. However, they carry the shoe I need, and between the Tacoma and Federal Way locations, I got what I needed. .

I bought a $68 pair of shoes and within 5 days the stitching was coming apart. I took the shoes back to the store to have them give me a new pair and I was told the cannot do that without the owner’s permission. So, I asked for the owner or manager and neither were available. The clerk took down my name and said she would call the owner/manager and see what they could do. This was on a Thursday afternoon. I was told I would be contacted on the following Tuesday to see what they could do. No call. I finally called them at 6pm that Tues night and was told they can only get me a store credit. I don’t want a store credit, I wanted an exchange for the same pair of shoes that aren’t coming apart. They could not do that for me. So now I have a pair of brand new sandles that are falling apart and that is that. This type of customer service is the worst. I won’t be back and I’m telling everyone I know, buyer beware. Thanks for nothing Souless Perfection “shoe” store

The selection of quality footwear is outstanding. My complaint is with the salesperson-she was just plain abrupt and rude. Not one question I asked was answered courteously. I will look elsewhere for shoes before allowing myself to be treated so disrespectfully again.

Went in with a friend. The salesperson who helped my friend was pushy and infantilizing, LARPing as a podiatrist and constantly slinging around snap diagnoses of nonexistent medical conditions after watching them walk around for four seconds. My friend was handed a pair of shoes with tangled laces, and while in the process of untangling them, the salesperson quipped that it looked like someone "needed to go back to grade school", as though my friend did not know how to tie their own shoes. Throughout all of this, my friend continued to express reservations with the fit of the shoes, which were all dismissed out of hand with further importuning to buy the shoes and see how they felt at home. Then the salesperson walked away. When I sought help and explained what kind of insole I was looking for, a second salesperson instantly tried to upsell me on "the Cadillac" of insoles while ignoring the criteria I had given. Despite the fact that I was wearing a small brand of women's shoes that the store carried and the salesperson was apparently familiar with, the first two pairs of insoles I was handed for them were in men's (and not the equivalent size) because I'm trans and my voice is androgynous. When I asked for the correct insoles, the salesperson was quick to deflect and blame her eyesight for grabbing the wrong ones, and tell me I should be so lucky to not be in the same boat when I'm 60 (I have terrible eyesight, actually). After trying them out and telling her the insoles weren't what I was looking for and reiterating my desires, she shoved a third pair in my face without removing them from the box and told me to take a photo and buy them on the internet. Then she walked away.Given that they are so educationally minded, I would suggest that one of the employees may be better served going back to night school if they want to act like a doctor. If their career goals are to be abusive and unhelpful, however, I'd say they're doing pretty well for themselves in their current vocation. Perhaps a lateral move into administration? One of the other employees might consider, in place of an eye exam, texting their children and asking them to explain what gender is.

I have never written a bad review before but I am so upset. I came into this store to purchase a great pair of shoes for a trip to Italy. Found a pair of boots I really loved but a bit out of my price range. I said I could pick them up the next week. She said she would hold them for me. I stopped into the store the next day to try them on again just to make sure and I still loved the fit. Then the original woman that helped me said she wouldn't hold them for me until the next week, even though she was the one that said she would hold them in the first place.I am stunned!!! What kind of customer service is that? I really wanted to shop local. Not only did they lose me as a customer but I will definitely NOT recommend them to anyone. Shops wonder why people shop on Amazon. They have great customer service!!!

Great shoe selection, poor customer service. Just not friendly.
