The response by the Sportsman Warehouse employee on here was pretty disingenuous. They asked me to fill out a form when I had already filled out something months earlier to customer support which they said they took serious. It's pretty obvious they just ignored it. They really just put the response here to fain like they care to save some face on yelp. It's funny, I asked my kids if they wanted to go into the store the other day and they were like "NO, THEY ARE SO MEAN THERE!" It's the honest truth .

Ugh sportsman 2/2/24 got a call that my 4473 was clear and good to go and that my pick up day was today 2/14/24 so I went today happy as can be picking up a new firearm after standing and waiting for a worker haveing a 10 min social conversation with a employee I was apple to speck with an associate,finishing up my paperwork I was ready to pay for the taxes and there was a slit mix up after standing around a worker comes to me and states that they won't be able to release my fire that is mine due to their mistake on filing paperwork and that someone else has placed my firearm on layaway. I was not pleased to hear that I would have to wait additional days for this the worker did apologize but I have told him that I wasn't happy about this and that I have recommended this store to multiple friends and family of being 100% I do understand mistakes happen but would probably be my last time purchasing a firearm from sportsman's warehouse

I was unhappy because I had purchased a damaged hat and when I returned it, the clerk claimed I had damaged it and would not refund (I had barely touched it). After returning home and communicating with customer service, my purchase was refunded. So, while there was some temporary frustration, Sportsman’s Warehouse made me whole and I am satisfied.

I bought a Bersa Thunder 380 auto online. It said 9 days before it would be in, I received an email saying it was in 5 days early. So, I went in to start the background. They told me it would take about 10 days to get that result back. They called me 35 hours later and said my background came back clear and I could pick up my firearm on the 25th. The problem is that it's 18 days after purchasing the weapon and 13 days after the background came back clear. What the heck????? Makes zero sense.

DO NOT BUY HERE!!! Terrible/uneducated customer service. I ordered a gun for pickup and the employee checking me out left a prior customers information in my order leading it to be canceled 2 weeks later due to their fraud check (at least thats what they said). No call or email I just randomly checked my bank 2 weeks later and my purchase had been refunded. Manager was rude and unprofessional. refused to offer any sort of reimbursement. Also all the employees i've spoken to while shopping there have been rude and don't have the slightest idea about what they are talking about.

This place has good deals and we've had good interactions with the licensing staff and the cashiers unfortunately I would not recommend purchasing items if you have a potential need to return an item. I bought bullets as a gift and didn't keep the receipt as it seemed to be a straight forward purchase. However, discovered what I had bought was just the bullet casings and not actual ammo. When I tried to return them the cashier was kind enough to ask a manager if we could do the return for store credit, she mentioned he may be able to pull up a receipt, and the manager didn't acknowledge me and just told the cashier in front of me that they "can't do any returns without receipts now." Bummer of a way to do business.

Drove an hour to the Federal Way Sportmans, then waited in line for 1.5hrs. Finally got to the counter and saw they had the rifle I wanted. The girl asked for my id so I can purchase, which I presented. She then told me that I need a birth certificate or SS card because my ID didn’t have my full middle name, it’s just has my initial. I don’t carry those on me, so we checked ALL of my cards, including my Concealed carry permit, car registration, bank cards, and NOTHING has my full middle name on it. I have purchased many different firearms and have NEVER been asked for another form of ID. 2 of which were from another sportsman’s, and the employees proceeded to tell me that “just because the other Sportsman’s do it wrong, doesn’t mean we have to”. So are you telling me every other gun store I go to does it wrong? And none of my state documents were done right either? Maybe it’s YOUR store that doesn’t do it right. Even if that was the case, why is there nothing anywhere in the store that says I might need 2 forms of identification, so I don’t drive over an hour and wait 1.5hrs just to be told something that isn’t true and denied? Your gun counter staff needs to be educated more it seems. The funniest part is, I went to another gun store 10mins later and purchased the exact same rifle, on sale, and WITH JUST MY ID. Thanks for the waste of gas and time. I know where I’ll be going from now on.

Went in to get a compound bow restrung. There's no signage at the door to check in with customer service prior to going to the archery department. Got scolded by an employee behind the customer service desk who was coincidentally the only checker. Told me I had to check in but the archery department was closed down, nothing on their website said to the contrary.

Customer service especially in firearms IS HORRENDOUS. As I was filling out my background report the clerk made me extremely uncomfortable by talking about marijuana as I filled it out in store. They also have one person working and there is an extremely long line every time. It’s a joke. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

Incompetent !!! I swore to myself not to go back to the store after they messed up my background check last summer sending it to the wrong police department and making me wait for a month.. but here I am making the same mistake again. Bought a pistol from them again. Waited for the background check to clear and for the 10 days to pass. Received a phone call from Sportsmans warehouse telling me to come pick it up. Finally, I drive down to Federal Way , all in a good mood, anticipating getting my hands on the new toy... and Ooops.. they say they cannot release the firearm to me until I complete 1143 training.. seriously? The person who called me from SW and told me to come pick it up today did not say one word about 1143. How the heck am I supposed to know? wasted another 40 minute trip coming to Federal Way. And Will have to do it again tomorrow to come back to the store with that training certificate and finally pick up my gun. No, this is definitely my last time buying firearms from this place. Never again...
