Kind hearted volunteers try hard to get what you need. They often have dry dog and cat available. Most of the clientele is friendly and considerate. Unfortunately, hunger is real in Whatcom County.

By far the best food bank I've EVER been to in my 44yrs of life. Thank you for all that you guys do to help our community with their nutrition and food needs. You all go above and beyond. Again I thank you all so very much.

Thanks for the bag of food. Now for the review.I understand why some people get to leave with boxes, carts, carloads of food. Meanwhile, I'm one person, taking care of myself with just a backpack and a bus pass. I need to sustain myself too and I'm the only one who's going to look for opportunities to feed myself. So when I fill out a list covering the types of items which are stocked in a food bank pantry I expect to recieve a decent amount of items on that list [because I need them]. I always hope that these food banks, which seem to do what they can for their respective communities, are able to really assist people and impact lives positively.Unfortunately, for the single individuals in the Ferndale area, you will not be able to personally pick and choose items, they will be brought to you (staff having matched with your list as little or as much as they cared to), and you will have to make do with a can of sardines, a V8 energy drink, a sourdough soup bowl, a block of cheese and two yogurts for the next day or so with the words "she gave you whatever she could" and the memory of waiting two hours for a measly bag of snacks.Yes, measly. Meager rations. Small town pit stop. The produce today was awesome, however! ***Love getting food that I have to eat today but expired yesterday. A truly motivational addition to the gift bag with rations.Come on.

I was amazed by the people here. I was born and raised in Columbus Ga. And when I did not see myself reflected in the community I stayed ready. The first person I met was this Egyptian man who owned the Gull gas station. He was so nice and friendly that I grew to like him immensely. This was very very hard and I learned to trust him. This allowed me to just go for it ? and become part of the community.

We support the Ferndale Food Bank as much as we can. Since the flood, they need donations to fix or replace their trucks as they had damage to them from the flooding. Everyone, please help them.

I've been going to Cedar's for a few years and they have had their ups and downs. Shortly before closing down again due to Covid, the establishment was preparing food well again. Since reopening, our family has eaten in house and ordered food to go. I'm pleased to see that they are producing consistently tasty food again and the staff is super friendly. The one waitress who always seems to be working was there on the last day before the closing and is back to provide us with such excellent service, even when balancing all the tables in the place. I hope Cedar's continues to make delicious meals as well as fix some of the upholstery in their booths.

Ferndale food bank goes above and beyond. Best food bank in whatcom county. My daughter has allergies to everything and they accommodated. Everything was fresh and good quality unlike bellingham food bank, where everything is rotten, outdated, and small amounts.

Friendly spot. Great food?. Fresh hash browns with real potato taste. Comfy, homey, feel. Wood slat ceiling, covers white plaster above, giving a rustic feel.
