“I had such a great experience at CHS Ferndale’s garden center! I loved being able to walk through and see such a huge variety of plants — it honestly felt more like strolling through a beautiful garden than shopping. Everything was well cared for and inspiring to look at. Lisa was incredibly helpful while I was looking around and made the whole experience even better.”

“I am in awe of the service from Pet Stop! I live in Birch Bay and can’t believe they deliver to me. I can get things delivered same day! Any time there is an issue with anything in my order, they call me to let me know. They also have super worms which is a lifesaver because I don’t have to make a trip to town for my bearded dragon food. I save so much time with their service and am so thankful for them. They are all so nice and helpful and when I am in the store they are just as wonderful! Thank you so much!”

“This is a top notch pet boutique.. the kind you would find in a larger city but we are lucky to have it very near to our home. We have been here a few times and the thing that is most resonant is the knowledge of the owner and today, the owner was not there but the woman who was, was equally as knowledgeable!!! Most of the times we have visited have been we were looking for something in particular.. last night we had some big storms /high winds and one of our dogs kept us up all night. We wanted to purchase something to have in the house for the next time something like this happens. She actually recommended something that was out of stock. She explained why she preferred that product and then showed us another one which we purchased. It would be very easy to spend a lot of money in this little store! There have all the best toys, accessories, food and treats.. you name it for dogs (cats too) and they have it. Think quality products and it's here.. well behaved dogs welcome!”
“This is a wonderful little shop to get all your bird feeding materials - several types of one-of-a-kind bird seed blends, feeders, etc. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. If you live in Bellingham, skip the big name pet stores and shop here instead.”
“Yesterday for the first time (March 2026), I washed my dog at the self-service Shake and Shine business, and was I impressed! The owner, Monica, personally oriented me to their process, towels, shampoo, conditioner, brush, ear cleaning solution, and dryer. The store is *very* clean, well organized, spacious, and quietly peaceful.
I asked and the owner assured me that their very well designed washing tubs are cleaned and sanitized after every dog wash. Plus, there was no waiting for a tub at 1:30 pm on a Thursday. I highly recommend Shake and Shine, especially after trying Bailey's self-wash which is very, very dirty, noisy and disorganized.
Please take your dogs to Shake and Shine, you will be glad that you did.”

“I went in this afternoon just hoping to look around and see what kinda of cat litters they had. When I walked over to the litter an associate greeted me and asked if I needed help or had any questions. She then spent the next 15-20 minutes with me answering my questions and making sure I found a litter that would work for me and my kitties! I'll be definitely be back again!”

They have really nice, high quality items for a decent price. There are some items that are more pricey (good, harness, carriers) etc. but you can find some good priced stuff here!
I really like their dog collar lights, food bowls, and toys!
Their selection is not huge but also not very small so if you want a ton of variety maybe not the place but if you want options def come here.
The employees are so nice also, great customer service, patient, ask what you need (not in a pushy way) and really help you out.

“I cannot thank Red's Aquarium & Pet Supply enough for their unending support during my 5 years of fish keeping here in Bellingham, and now through my emergency relocation to TX. My beloved and very beautiful Tiger Oscar needs to be re-homed, and Red's gladly accepted him in hopes of finding a new home. This local, woman-owned store is a gem for Bellingham. The owner is incredibly competent, fair, kind, patient, and everything you can imagine that makes locally owned businesses a benefit to us all. When I return to Bellingham someday Red's better still be here! If you've not visited Red's yet, go and visit this wonderful place in a historic building and tell them Marc sent you.”

You don't see exactly what you're looking for or the right quantities? They'll go out of their way to make it happen. A few months in, I'm looking forward to being a long time customer of this local business. And I told the manufacturer from whom we were ordering directly as much!”

“I have ended up ordering 5 of the Fur Haven large Cuddler beds (36”x36”). It fits all my pups up to 75 lbs. I have ordered other beds described as deep and cuddly but they are more like a pancake.
These beds are as described. The pups are able to snuggle in or stretch out. They are refillable and the outter cover is washable. The price is also the best for a bed of this quality. I originally found them on Amazon but they can be ordered directly from their website.”
“I have been shopping at this store since they opened and have always had excellent service. They carry my dog's brand of food, we have bought several pieces of yard equipment, hardware, etc. The prices are very fair, inventory is always stocked and the Customer Service I have received is always top notch. I just with they had a Dog Washing Service and it would be the perfect store for me.”

“It's a very informative center. An those who work there are very informative on the birds they have. Though they have a group of bald eagles in a enclosure who are very talkative in bald eagle talk.”
