I used Allied for packing and moving services. They did a great job with both the services, very methodical and professional and jobs were completed in a timely manner. Great value for money.

Driver was great. Delivery crew in Parker didn't install all supports on our king bed. They put the last support in our dresser drawer. We discovered it when we were unpacking our clothes to place in dresser. The crew in Port Townsend didn't disassemble a metal rack and it got completely damaged. Also, the Sales person,Matt, way over estimated the weight of our load.

The subcontractors they worked with were great (the packers and movers were awesome on both ends). The move coordinators and sales people were horrible once we signed the contract. Misled us on the move days - we thought we were booking a one day move, confirmed it with them multiple times, only to find out the day of the move that the people loading weren’t coming tomorrow. If the team had simply acknowledged the mistake and made any effort to rectify or compensate us, it would have gone a long way. Instead, they decided to blame us for not reading the fine print in the contract. An absolutely awful way to treat customers doing a cross country move.Again - the packers and movers (all sub-contractors) were great. The packers did more for us trying to get the driver to come a day early than the team at Allied did.If I could give negative stars this is only time I ever would.

The best moving company I’ve ever used! For a cross country move, it was seamless. Everyone was kind, professional and handled the move with care. Thank you!

I had great response and service from the local Tacoma/ Fife office. I had more trouble with communications with the national office as my load moved across the country. The Fife office kept me continuously updated, however. My things came across the country on time and under budget. Very little damage — and I moved 3,000 miles away. All in all, a good experience. Can’t say enough good things about the actual workers — more probs with corporate.

Not impressed with our whole experience. Our first issue was the vehicle we asked to have transferred. When filling out our online quote we mentioned needing to ship a vehicle. When scheduling our virtual tour we mentioned our vehicle. During the virtual tour, we gave them the information on our vehicle two times. The quote we received was not itemized, so we assumed our vehicle was part of it. A day before our move, we asked if they needed us to do anything special for our vehicle and they said "What vehicle?" Allied then quoted us a vehicle move that required pickup after we planned to leave, at a pretty high price in our opinion. We had to schedule vehicle transportation on our own. That was not a fun experience.Second, during transportation, our itmes were clearly moved/left out in the rain. Several of our boxes and personal items have clear water damage. Fortunately, the damage wasnt enough to warrant a claim, bit it is clear our items were not treated with care. In addition, some items were disassembled in transport. Couches, desks, lights and TVs left our old house in one piece and arrived broken down. In general that isnt a problem, but because they were broken down in transport, we are missing caps, screws and bolts.Third, the movers that dropped off our stuff were rather rough with things. Nothing blatantly bad, but again, clear they didn't care about our things. They also assembled the broken down things incorrectly/poorly.Overall, not a great experience and we will use another company with our next move. I also want to be clear that the people at the Fife location had little to nothing to do with all of our issues. But this is was our experience. On a positive side, our movement coordinator, Octavia, was nice and professional. Just wish the rest of the process was the same.

We hired Coleman Allied to move some household belongings from Washington State to Oregon. The service teams were professional and thorough. Unfortunately, they destroyed a designer nightstand/end table. By destroyed, I mean that the item arrived in at least 20 pieces, the wooden part in shreds, the glass shattered and the metal parts were all over the place. The delivery team was quite apologetic, noted the item on their form and said we should file a claim. Despite the written admission that they had damaged the item, their claims department denied the claim in its entirety because we did not hold onto the broken pieces for them to inspect. We paid them almost $7,000 to move these items and they decided not to pay us around $350 for what they had broken. Would not recommend using them even though the packing and delivery teams were awesome.

I got several moving quotes from different companies. Allied was the highest quote, however I had such a great experience with the sales consultant that I felt more confident using Allied since they were a large reputable company. I lived in a single bedroom apartment with minimal furniture because I dumped all of my stuff when I moved previously and the guys who came to move me out complained about how much stuff I had (even though it’s all in the quote), that my bed was too big (I have a queen with a platform), that there was only one elevator in my building, and had no idea where to park even though the sales consultant told me they had moved people from my building several times. These guys also did not know that they didn’t need to pack me up. They took 2.5 hours just to move my couch and a few boxes. They smelled so bad that I was afraid I was going to get a citation from my apartments for smoking even though I am a non-smoker. The first thing one of the guys did was take a dump in my newly cleaned bathroom. They smelled of smoke and body odor and this was their first move of the day. It was obvious they hadn’t showered in days. They took several smoke breaks, and I had to call the company to ask about the time it was taking to move my stuff because we had a 7 Hour drive ahead of us. I have moved many times in the past and it has never taken that long and I had less stuff than I’ve ever had! When I called the company they were very nice and handled it quickly, the guys sped up but after four hours all of my stuff was in the alley lined up behind the truck when I left. The guys were very nice, however I just don’t think they knew what they were doing. My mother saw them get very frustrated with my couch and throw it into the crate finally.Additionally, I was told that I would not have to pay until receipt of my things. However, that was not true and they require full payment before they will even consider delivering your stuff. So presumably my stuff was sitting in a warehouse in my destination city until I paid. So I paid immediately upon realization of this rule that I was not told of, and then a week later I called because I hadn’t heard anything about the status of my delivery and the lady on the phone had no idea I had paid it last week, even though I sent her a copy of the receipt. Additionally, I never received any notification of when I would get a delivery or delivery time even though I was told previously that I would have a 24-48 hour lead time. I had to call multiple times to gently ask questions as reminders and clarification. If I had not called them, they would not have delivered my things when they did because she didn’t know I had paid. I should not have had to initiate that conversation. The men who moved my things in to my new apartment were efficient and very nice. They were affiliated directly with Coleman Allied. But they also made comments about how the crate was put in backwards by the previous men (from Triple A moving which is Allied’s Alaska branch) and several comments about how it was obvious that those guys did not know what they were doing previously. I have moved several times, and moving is always a nightmare, but this was a less than ideal experience. I was very disappointed because I went with a more reputable company and felt like I paid more and did not get the service that I had bargained for. I did get my stuff on time but that was because of my own initiative. After this experience, I’m not sure that I would go with Allied again.
