I’ve never fully trusted UPS and have rarely felt confident using their services. Every time I’m forced to use them, I’m left feeling uneasy—and this latest experience sealed it for me.
If I had the option, I would always choose USPS or FedEx instead. Unfortunately, my employer uses UPS, so I didn’t have a choice this time. I sent a very important package, and the tracking has been stuck at the JBLM office since 7/11—it's now 7/25. When I reached out for help, the only response I received from the local staff was, “Call the 1-800 number.” That’s completely unhelpful and unacceptable.
Also, I couldn't help but notice that the UPS staff carried a slightly ambiguous and indirect microaggression in their overall demeanor—there was a subtle but undeniable negative vibe or aura in how they interacted. It made an already frustrating experience feel even worse.
How do you even put a price on the inconvenience, stress, and frustration caused by this kind of incompetence and unprofessionalism?
Bottom line: Avoid UPS if you can. USPS-JBLM or FedEx-Lacey are far more reliable, and they at least make you feel like a valued customer.

The store has posted hours but so often they are not there when they're supposed to be. I show up after opening hours, there's no sign indicating a change of hours or being closed on that date, and yet the gate is closed, no lights on, nothing. I feel like its not difficult be on time for an 8:30 start or at least put up a sign if you are changing your hours or closed for the day. Its very disrespectful of people's time and energy.

I had to shipped a bunch of stuff to a friend. The associate Tiffany was extremely helpful. She was able to pack and reduce my 5 containers down to 1 box. I recommend coming to this store for packing and shipping.

If you are reading this review, you are probably wondering to yourself what kind of place is this? What am I going to have for breakfast? I hope the I-5 isn't jammed. Well let me tell you something, you will forget all of that when Tanya and Tiffany are helping you. They will make sure you are treated like the most valued customer in the world and all of your worries will melt away. They are good people, courteous, fast and kind. What more could you want? Also if you go to this UPS store and have Tanya and Tiffany send your package all your wildest dreams will come true. I'm serious I went back to my vehicle and found a gold bar.

Tiffany is such a joy to be around, she gives tailored customer service and is always happy to help with whatever questions you have. It becomes less of a chore to pick up packages and more of an outing to see a friend

Some workers don't know the geography of states well. I think it's kinda important for this type of job. Overpriced for sending letters. Usps have better prices
