About Fox Island Historical Society
The Fox Island Historical Society is a small, well-kept museum offering a lovely representation of the island's history. It is considered a gem with a lot of cool history to learn about, featuring items and displays worth the time to see. The staff is described as wonderful, gracious, kind, friendly, informed, personable, and passionate. They are happy to share information, stories, and history with visitors, often providing a warm and personal tour. The museum has limited hours, only open for a few hours a week, so checking availability is important. Entrance is free, though donations are welcome. The facility includes a lovely gift shop, bookstore, and a used book room with a great selection. Visitors can explore the grounds, which feature murals, and are given maps to explore other historic sites on the island. It is highly recommended and worth a visit for those in the area.

It was our first time on the island and we decided to stop by the museum. Bill greeted us and gave us a tour. It just so happened to be Washington's birthday so the kiddos celebrated with cake. Extremely kind, informative and welcoming staff. Thank you Bill and team for the great experience!
