I would love to charter a private trip to scatter my beloved husbands ashes, willing to actually book a trip but I’ve been trying for a month to get a hold of some one, any one to just talk to regarding booking, all I get is an answering service assuring me somebody will get back to me but no one ever calls me back. I’ve called and left messages and I’ve emailed to no avail. ?

Had an absolutely wonderful experience sailing on the Spine Africa. It's a beautiful boat and a great way to experience sailing around the islands. We saw a whale, porpoises, sea lions, harbor seals, and a beer of jellyfish. The crew is terrific. It was an all around excellent experience. Thanks!!

I chartered the Spike Africa as a surprise for my fiancé on our wedding day, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience! They were polite, flexible, and adjusted the sail to fit my timeline without any issue. Now, my husband and I have gorgeous photos of us sailing around Roche Harbor in our wedding garb. Thank you so much to everyone at Schooners North for making our special day just a little more unique!

We booked a sunset Tour on the Spike Africa after meeting a couple who had done it and said it was the highlight of their trip. I absolutely agree with them! We packed up some sandwiches and some beers to eat during our sail. Kenny and crew were incredible. Very engaging and fun. We saw some wildlife up close and personal, met some great people and they let passengers take turns steering as well as getting the sails up. The boat is rich in history and she is beautiful! I am so glad we decided to book this sail. The price is extremely affordable and you get an absolutely amazing view of the sunset! Do not hesitate to book a trip with them, it will be the highlight of your stay on the islands!

Fabulous Sunset Sail on Sunday May 26th! The weather cleared to beautiful sunshine and we had both enough wind to be under full sail, and calm at sunset for incredible pictures. The crew was helpful and fun and we would definitely do this again! The last ferry leaves at 10:05pm, so there's time to grab a bite to eat afterwards or pack snacks to eat on the boat. This was awesome!

The spike Africa is a beautiful boat and they have a great crew. The best way to spend your summer evenings in the San Juans.

Lovely wooden sailing boats and a friendly crew. Great fun, especially if you bring a picnic and wine or beer.

We always wanted to take a sail in the San Juan Islands. Booked for a day sail and had a great time. Crew was great. Even saw a whale. A good time.

I took my 4 year old son out for an evening sail and he loved the "pirate ship". Make sure to dress warm and it's a good idea to bring along a backpack with some snacks in it (especially with kids). We got to see a pod of Orcas just outside of Friday Harbor on the way back. The tour consists of motoring out of the marina, clearing a few miles out of the harbor and going back and forth a few times, it's not really a tour of anything, but it was fun nonetheless.
