These are the best accommodations on San Juan Island. We’ve stayed in many of the different rooms. Each one is casually elegant, comfortable, and with loads of personalized touches that make you feel cared for with each visit. The breakfasts are prepared with care and have great quality ingredients and the shared lobby and kitchen spaces are equally pleasing. Don’t look any further. This is the best place to stay.

We were in such great care at the Tucker House Inn. The rooms were well designed and comfortable, the breakfasts were hot and delicious, and the little touches to make my dog’s stay just as wonderful as my own were greatly appreciated!

What a delightful inn the Tucker House Inn is. We enjoyed cookies upon arrival and since it was my birthday, there was a special treat for us, thank you again. We stayed in Jennie’s Cottage and we found it very comfortable and very clean for our stay. Their breakfast was unbelievably delicious, very unique and gourmet. Tucker House is centrally located so a short walk to dinner was a great choice. I would love to go back again if possible.

We just had our fourth stay at Tucker House Inn. It's so much fun to go back to a place you love. I appreciate that this place is super dog friendly and welcoming which is large step up from "dogs permitted." Love the location right by the ferry and the delicious breakfasts are a highlight! We will be back again and again!

Our stay at the Tucker House Inn was absolutely wonderful. The grounds were beautiful, and our room, the Secret Passage, was cozy and felt just like home. We always felt safe, and the peace and quiet made it even more relaxing. We especially loved the hot tub in our room, and the innkeepers were so accommodating and helpful during our entire stay. The breakfast delivered to our room was incredible—we ate every bite! Having access to a laundry facility was also a huge convenience. The inn was perfectly located near lots of shops, which made exploring the area easy and fun. Honestly, we were sad to leave the island, but if we ever find ourselves back in the San Juan Islands, we’ll definitely stay here again. It was such a lovely time.

Right in town but still reasonably quiet. Breakfasts were varied and good. Pet yard was convenient and recommended pet sitter Taynee was great.
Felt like we had a real concierge who was very responsive and helped book spa, dinner, understanding ferry system and anticipating many things.
We brought a pet and while they are pet friendly they have rules on pets but were very helpful meeting them.
We loved Lizzie's cottage. Nice size for two with a private sizable patio. Food and shops are only a short block away.
There are lots of steps outside the cottage and a few inside. Not ADA accessible but other parts of the property may be.
Kitchen is fully stocked. Next time we will likely eat in most dinners as overall dinner restaurants were uninspiring or very hit and miss across the courses.
AC in unit which even late September was useful at times.
We plan to return and next time will leave the car in Anacortes. You don't need it for the town and there are ways to get around the island if you want a little bit of touring around.
It can be a bit noisy at 500 AM with windows open and the first ferries loading but leaving AC on fan mode covered that fine.
Rooms: Kitchen is small but very usable. No desk and limited outlets but has four person table. Bathroom is on the small side.
Walkability: Terrific walkability to all friday harbor shops, grocery, drugstore, restaurants and ferry.
Food and drinks: Not surprisingly on an island food is expensive. Groceries were maybe 20% more. Restaurants were pretty expensive even allowing for island pricing and still were disappointing for dinners but fine for lunch. We'd probably eat in for dinners on a future trip.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in the Evening Star room. It was a wonderfully comfortable stay and everyone there is so kind and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding, our first was an egg , sweet potato and veggie tacos- they were divine! Our second breakfast was a pesto and parm omelet, bacon and a savory side salad and I opted to add a fruit and yogurt parfait (pictured)since we had more things to do, both were delicious!! I would come back in a heartbeat, it made our trip so much more relaxing!! Thank you Tucker House Inn, hope to come back soon!! ❤️
Nearby activities: Whale watching, shopping, Whale Museum , San Juan Island brewery, and so much more.
Walkability: Easy to get to all the things around Friday Harbor.
Food and drinks: Fantastic breakfasts served!!

I had stayed here with a friend years ago before Covid (and before the Sidney Anacortes ferry Was canceled) And remembered it fondly. So, when two friends and I decided to do a bicycle trip from Victoria to Anacortes and through the San Juans, Tucker house was the first place that came to mind.
My friends were in the bedroom of the suite and I was very comfortable on the sofa. It was so nice I didn’t even have to make it into a sofa bed. We all really enjoyed the hot tub after a long bike ride and the breakfast they brought to our room was beyond wonderful. We especially appreciated the exceptional coffee and tea offerings in our suite.
I also really liked that we were able to store our gear in the office while we went out on bikes to explore the island. the location is perfect: close to town, but out of all the hubbub and noise by the ferry dock.
Whenever I am back in Friday Harbor Tucker house/Harrison suites would be my absolute first choice!

A very easy 3 minute walk to downtown Friday Harbor from here, this gem of a property had beautiful courtyard sitting areas with apple and fig trees and beautiful flower gardens. The staff was very attentive and responded quickly to requests. We stayed with friends and it was no trouble for the staff to bring both breakfasts to one room where we all ate every morning. Each suite had a well-stocked kitchen including a bottle opener and wine glasses. Fresh ground coffee and a French press was a wonderful way to start the day. The breakfasts were very fresh and delicious. We cant wait to return. Oh and the cookies and scones left for you in your room everyday were also very fresh. Perfect with that delicious milk they give you as well. All guests seemed to respect the quiet hours from after 9PM so we slept amazing well.

Cute little inn. We stayed in a room that had a mini hot tub out on the porch. Very convenient location right in Friday Harbor, so it's a great option if you're visiting without a car. Walkable to everything in town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Tucker House (Jenny's Cottage). The location was an easy walk from the ferry and to downtown Friday Harbour. The accommodations were very comfortable.
The breakfasts were excellent. We would highly recommend this property to others.

The Tucker House was our base for a 4 day, three night bike tour of the San Juan Islands
The tour company used the Tucker House and we were able to tack on a night before and at the end to extend our stay
Just like in real estate the key word with the accommodations are “Location. Location. Location.”
Only a 5’ walk from te ferry terminal to be convenient yet far enough to be in a quiet neighborhood. We were ensconced in the Four Winds Suite for 3 nights and completed our stay in the Orcas Suite. Both rooms were unique with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.
The B&B sent us out the door each morning fueled by a gourmet breakfast and French press coffee.
Friday Harbor is very walkable. We dined at the San Juan Brewery, Mike’s Cafe and the Friday Harbor House.
Safety: Quiet neighborhood setting
Walkability: Totally walkable to Friday Harbor shops and restaurants
Food and drinks: Gourmet breakfast
Walk to a variety of nearby restaurants
We visited in mid September
Reservations were still a good idea
Careful! Most establishments close early

We didn’t stay at the main house. We stayed at the Sunshine Suite and it was fabulous! It’s in a quiet location with easy walking access to shops and restaurants.
The beds and pillows were super comfy. Charming and quaint accommodation.

Great experience. Two blocks from the ferry and downtown. The customer service was awesome; they were helpful and not intrusive. We felt like we were welcomed guests. I highly recommend Tucker House Inn!
