They advertise at the store entrance and online that walk ins are welcome for Covid vaccination. When I walked in, I was told there was only walk in for flu vaccine available as they don't have enough Covid vaccine to accommodate walk ins, as they keep it for appointments only.

I went in to pick up my prescription and of course had to wait in line for quite awhile. When it was my turn I was told I had to talk to the pharmacist. When I was finished talking to him I went back to get my prescription and was told I had to wait in line again. The line was long 5 people in front of me. Waited for a good amount of time. As I was in line I noticed a Huge bag of pills on top of the blue cabinet in front of the registers at the pharmacy window. Which I pointed out to the pharmacy assistant. She was shocked and went and got them. Weird!!! Anyone could have taken them.

If you like to pick up your prescriptions when the doctor prescribes them- don’t go here. Worst lady pharmacist in North America with zero communication skills.

Always order from bartell's before checking Walgreens or rite aid. Prices are typically way cheaper than the other big box stores too!

This place is now the worst in town. I've had them text me some meds are ready and then show up only to have them 'still in process.' How is that even possible? The pharmacy workers are just rude now too. I've had to change where I shop it's so bad. If I could have put 0 stars I would have. Absolutely horrible

I went in to pick up a prescription that I ordered for refill on their app two days previously. I didn’t see it was filled but I had to pick up a prescription for my husband on Saturday. It wasn’t ready so I said ok I will be back another day since they only had two working the pharmacy on a Saturday!? The line was long and an older gentleman spent a ridiculous amount of time visiting. He never looked up to see several waiting! I received a automated call late Sunday that my pills were ready. I went in on Monday. I was told they were not ready. They hadn’t counted them yet! I questioned why I got a phone call and she said I should not have. No apology of any kind. I waited over 10 minutes so they could count them! After decades with Bartells we are transferring to another pharmacy. This happens way too often! Years ago they had great customer service but no longer. We now have our prescriptions sent to another pharmacy.

I picked up a Prescription today at Bartel's in Gig Harbor. Generally I have a "Good efficient experience".The technition assisting me behind the Counter and The Plexy Glass spoke very loud so other Customers in line could hear the Name of my Rx. & other personal info. I asked her not to speak so Loud as I didn't want others in the Line to hear. In other words, I preferred to keep my information Confidential. She replied, "most people that come in here are hard of hearing"I reassured her I am not hard of hearing.. Her attitude & disposition toward me with other Communication was even more disappointing. Something I have never experienced before at this Bartel.I think I will take my Business elsewhere in the Future if I should need a Prescription.

It's a mixed bag with Bartells. The whole place feels like 1980. Smells that way too. Often don't have the prescribed drugs in the store. No public bathroom. On the other hand, pretty helpful staff. And you can buy expensive toys if you're kids are with you.

I have been using Bartell Drugs on Olympic Drive in Gig Harbor for 5 years. The pharmacy has gradually grown to be less and less responsive and unfriendly since being taken over by RiteAid. The inventory has decreased as well. Looking to go to a different supplier in spite of the fact that the store is 1 mile from my front door.

They have staff shortages and just close so hit or miss if they are available to get your medication. Many different reasons for all the staff shortages but what is unprofessional is they don't change their phone message with updates on their hours. It would be very helpful for their customers if they cared enough to do so.

Angelica with Bartell Drugs deserves an award for outstanding customer service. I had a horrible experience with another drug store pharmacy and Angelica went above and beyond to take care of my prescription needs at this Bartell Drugs. She patiently called my insurance and went through several people to try and get a prescription removed from a closed pharmacy (they auto filled and held my prescription even though they were closed and I was in pain from an infection and needed antibiotics). Even though the insurance company wasn’t able to process the cancellation, Angelica was able to fill my prescription that evening. Five Stars for you Jelly!
