The current owner is trying to sell the store and is not making an effort to maintain product selection. This store is a shadow of its former self and should just close down.

I'm a s***** for gift shops-especially in touristy towns. I don't always buy something, but I like to see what treasures represent the town that I'm visiting. This one was true to it's description-eclectic. There are the usual gift shop items-t-shirts, shot glasses and soap. There were also very tacky beer pants and cheap kitschy things throughout as well. A little something for everyone, I suppose. I didn't see the shop cat until I was checking out, and only noticed it when another shopper dropped to the ground to struggle-snuggle the cat. She made me smile-that's who I hope to be when I'm in my 70's and give no more damns.

Every year we return to buy something for our Department 56, Dickens Christmas Village, sometimes it's another building or figure, or trees or bags of snow. The staff are helpful and friendly.

I never give negative reviews. Ever. And this might be a great shop...I just don't know. The reason for the one star review is that we drove all the way from Renton (1 hour there, 2 hours home due to an accident on I-5) to go to this shop, since we're going to a wedding and the bride and groom had requested "a special, meaningful Christmas ornament"...in September. We had checked the hours online, it was a Saturday, and we headed to Gig Harbor. When we got to the shop, there was a sign on the door saying "closed due to an employee not showing up to work." (!!!) I get that things happen, but BOY was this frustrating, given the aforementioned drive. We won't be driving back. Recommend that anyone making a special trip call first and confirm with a human that there's someone there and they're open.

I recently called and was able to place an order for some Department 56 pieces over the phone. I am out of state with very few dealers of the brand located in my state. Everyone was so great and friendly! The first time I called a few months back, I spoke with Glory, and she was super helpful with checking on some items I was looking for. This time I spoke with Marsha and Haley (I believe that was their names) and they both went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed! I definitely recommend this shop for any of your collectible and gifting needs!

Wow, what great customer service. My friend and I stopped to get a Christmas ornament and she was so pleased with the Gig Harbor Christmas ornament. I waited in the car and when she came out, she was very happy with how they treated her and helped her find what she needed. I love Gig Harbor.

Such a wonderful array of items to choose from! Not to mention the friendly shopkeeper and adorable shop cats. I took three laps around the shop and found something new with every go around. Beautiful artwork to artisan soaps and lotions to soups! Love this place and I highly recommend it if you find yourself in Gig Harbor!

A cute little Christmas store with 3 levels. A fun stop to incorporate in a day trip to the peninsula.
