The shop fit us in quickly and did a very good job on the repair. There were a few hiccups in the process though that extended time in the shop. There was never a call or text to let us know when the schedule changed so we had to call them daily. We had a rental car 4 days longer than the original plan. This was a point of frustration.

I would give a zero star rating if I could...I brought my vehicle in to this place in February 2023, and I still don't have it back. It is now November 2023. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know they were busy and everywhere is short staffed, and waited 3 months. After 3 months when I called to check on it they didn't even know my car was there, and hadn't started any work on it! When I dropped the car off i physically gave them the keys, and the owner went over the vehicle with me.I once again gave them another chance to get this right, but another 3 months went by with no call or follow up. I called to check probably 20 times, and the receptionist could never tell me anything. She took my number down every single time, said the owner Stan would call me back (he never did) and either played dumb, or is dumb.I finally got my insurance company involved and the owner called me back to say they finally started working on it (6 months later) Another month goes by with no calls. I call and call and call, and finally they say it's in the paint shop. Low and behold, another 3-4 weeks go by with no communication. I get my insurance involved again, and get a call with great news! It's finally done 8 months later!When I went to pick it up, I paid, got my receipt, and the owner told me they replaced an engine part, and the car is running kinda shaky. That's an understatement. I got in the car and drove it no less than a 1/2 mile down the road before it started pouring out smoke and it crapped out. I managed to get it back to the shop, and the owner said he'd bring it to the mechanic Monday. That was 5 Mondays ago...I am a rational and realistic person, but this has been the worst experience with any company/person I've ever dealt with, period.I would not have minded whatsoever waiting 9 months if I had simply been kept in the loop. The lack of communication and competence is baffling. I never once yelled, got angry, went Karen, or anything of the sort during this process, but I certainly wanted to. My suggestion to anyone reading this is to save yourself the time, and find a shop a little further from where you live, or in a different city altogether. This one isn't worth it and doesn't care.Services: Painting

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They have been pushing back my car for 14 months! I got into my accident back in May 2022 my insurance recommended this company since they are on the preferred list and they had me wait until December to even take my car into the shop due to "parts over seas." My father has called this place countless times and every time the receptionist claims the owner or the mechanic will call us back but that has NEVER HAPPENED.Update: it is July 28th 2023 and my car is finally in my possession! They returned it completely filthy with a bunch of junk left inside (random car parts from other cars, snack garbage), there was also a bunch of tree sap all over my car that ruined its paint and I now have little blue/black spots of where the sap was. DO NOT GO HERE IT WAS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. You will be COMPLETELY ignored until the day before you get your car back.

Shockingly bad communication, unprofessional, and overwhelmed. They will keep your car for well over a month when they could order the parts and only have you come in when they are ready to work on it. They will not have any information and will tell you they will call you back .. they never do, you will need to call at least 6 times. Even if you reach someone, be prepared for "I have no idea", we have the wrong parts, we only have 1 painter, I am here by myself, and many other excuses. They will eventually repair your car but you will wonder the whole time if you will ever get your car back before they go out of business.Services: Painting

I usually don't write these but my experience with this shop changed my mind. First of all the place is a mess, cars parked all around there is hardly any place to park. The communication after the first look was nonexistent and I had to call to check on next steps. Once communication was finally established, I was never called again as they never reached out. Then came the lies. I was told my parts were on order which turns out they were not....of course I had to initiate the call. Then came the big lie. I was told the parts were in paint when they were not, which finally told me this place is a not an honest shop. I recommend using anybody else.

DO NOT GO HERE!! They are dishonest about how long every process takes and are severely understaffed. They told me it'd take two months before my car could go in... then it was seven months later. When I finally got my car in they told me it would take two weeks max and then it took over a month. During this whole process they maybe called once just to say the first initial appointment was canceled. They never call back. Please go somewhere else!! Very unprofessional!

The work on our car was bad and that's being nice. Started with them painting different colors that did not match and demanded we pick the car up which we did not...items on the invoice that were charged for were not repaired and the left a busted mirror on the car. Brought my pickup truck in at time of reservation to repair some minor body damage. A month later they still hadn’t got to it. When asked why I was told they had a tremendous amount of volume going through. A week later after calling several times to check status I was told it would be ready on Friday. When I showed up at 4pm it still wasn’t ready so waited another 45 minutes in the lobby which is dirty and filled with clutter. My insurance company sent me here. I discontinued my policy with them. I had some minor damage to my rear bumper and panel. They were able to fix it without replacing the parts, which was impressive. Repair looks great. Another larger company gave me a quote for replacement parts which was a couple of hundred dollars higher. It took two months to get an appointment, but all the auto body shops I called were similarly backed up.

Its always wonderful to find a place that is kind to their customers and goes above and beyond. We had a issue with my son's car that was causing problems but was a quick easy fix. Stan explained the issue and took the time to fix it for us. I will definitely be a loyal customer. Thank you Gig Harbor Autobody!
