Shame on Bank of America Gig Harbor. I have been an actual Bank of America branch manager and I'm extremely intimately aware of the closing procedures. I rushed to make it to my Branch from across town, made it on time, this Branch closes at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. I came to the door and it was already locked, I double checked my phone, we all have internet perfect time on our phone these days, I made it with 2 minutes to spare. As I knocked on the door, the two women that were just standing there looked at me, and then they both walked opposite directions as if to pretend they didn't see me. As I said, I've been a branch manager of Bank of america, and I would always wait right up until the last minute because of the golden rule, we've all been there where we've tried to make it in on time and I didn't want to do that to my customers, but the Gig Harbor Branch doesn't seem to care. Shame on them, I won't be referring any checking account or real estate loan business to this branch, that's for sure.

This branch really does not value their customer. 20+ years a customer and we have decided to close our Adv Plus Bank account. Other banks are starting to open on Saturday morning. This location is closed on Saturdays. The manager (Sue Walters) will follow BOA black and white policy and not look for solutions. Remember each person is different and situations should be listened to. Policy is there for a reason and its easy to say the system will not accept it vs looking for solutions to help the customer. At least show you value the customer by presenting some options, Im sure you know better than I do what they are. The instances of where the customer is not valued has been numerous over the years. Now looking for a local bank in Gig Harbor, rather than a large Corporate institution.

The worst bank and possibly the worst branch manager in the country. Been a member of BofA for almost 49 years with multiple personal and business accounts. This past Saturday this branch refused to deposit my paycheck(drawn on a BofA account) into my BofA Checking/Saving account to pay my BofA mortgage. Their excuse is they have to wait for the funds to clear. This is not taking care of customers. After speaking to the branch manager I was more convinced that moving all my business including my mortgage from BofA is absolutely the right thing to do. Do not recommend BofA and specially this branch to anybody.

This is such an outstanding bank it's hard to know where to begin. We came here after our brother died to obtain guidance on how to proceed with his bank account and were promptly greeted and led to someone who could help us. Susan Champeau turned out to be such a warm, professional and knowledgeable person who guided us through all that we needed to do. Fast forward several months later, we were fortunate to have her again to help us close out the account. From the friendly security guard who greeted us, to the bank employee who led us to Susan, to the teller who handled things, we couldn't have been treated nicer. Thank you!

The only reason I'm giving them a star is so that it will register. I arrived shortly before closing. My first mistake. It was quite clear by the sour attitude that this person quite understand how bad this bank sucks. After nearly a 10 minute conversation about how do I obtain the payoff balance to my credit card, she finally understood what I was trying to do. She was still angry and when I passed her my credit card she told me that the bank machine could not read it. She didn't try to look up the account or assist me in any other way but basically told me there was nothing she could do. After watching several funny U-tube videos about the poor customer service this bank provides, I'm out.

My husband and I have been banking at BofA for about 30 years in Texas. We have had nothing but good experiences in TX not so in Gig Harbor. I recently wanted to get into my safety deposit box. The lines took forever. Then when I got to the counter they kept typing things into the computer and I kept waiting... finally I said what is taking so long...they said the computer is slow...I asked again all I want to do is get into my safe deposit box what is taking so long? They said the computer is slow. There were two people working on this......I have never, ever, ever had to wait for service as long as I do at this Gig Harbor branch. They are understaffed and overwhelmed. We are actually considering leaving BofA because of this branch.

I've been a Bank of America customer for probably 40 + years. I've generally had excellent experience and I like the idea of being able to use their ATM's when I travel without a fee. I have usually used the drive thru teller which in the past has been helpful and speedy. However, on the last several trips to the Gig Harbor branch I have had to wait 15-20 minutes because there has not been a dedicated teller. They have multiple lanes but only have one open and that one uses a teller who apparently alternates between inside customers and the drive thru. Unless this gets fixed, I'll be looking for a different bank.

My significant other and I have credit cards with B of A. I had a name change over 2 years ago and the bank cannot get rid of the previous name. Their "wonderful state of the art computers" can't fix it. Amazing since everyone else where you change your name has complied. These people do not call back and do NOT care. So my original name appears every time on the receipt when I use the card. Seems like a simple problem. But NOOOOOOO! not for a multi billion dollar corporation. You people are pathetic.

Being a client since 1991 and having so-called "Preferred" client doesn't mean much. Put a hold on funds - under 10k - even though have over 80k with them. Time to find a better bank. Worst part - she was rude.

Nice bank and conveniently located for GIg Harbor near the bridge. It's in the Uptown Center, but off in its own corner (not sure how Applebee's will affect this). I love that they have a walk up ATM and a drive through ATM. I've only been inside once, my banking needs are not complicated, but they were all very polite and friendly. There was quite a line but it moved very quickly.
