I recently had my car serviced her after being struck by another driver. The process was AMAZING! The communication and details were all clear and easy to navigate. Ryan was a rock star and was in constant contact through the repair and pick up. This was a bad situation made good by a company who did impeccable work. Cannot recommend enough!

Gerber did an excellent job repairing my bumper after someone scratched it. They were recommended by the insurance company and worked directly with them to handle the billing. After my car was completed, I did notice some imperfections in the paint, but the manager was quick to recognize my concern and had the problem corrected the same day! The car was also completely detailed inside and out. Awesome experience!

Took my car in for an estimate for USAA after one of their members rear ended me on the freeway. I told the person doing the inspection that I would not be having my work done there and that I’d rather go to a Volvo certified shop.
The employee first tried to pop my bumper back into place. I told him not to do that and not to touch my car. He did not capture all of the damage and left off the steel beam on the back of my Volvo XC-60 because he couldn’t get a good enough picture. On the trunk door there was a mark from the other vehicle, which he said was just paint transfer so he took it off with paint thinner without asking me, stating this is what USAA would want him to do.
This did not feel like thorough work, it felt like a Mickey Mouse job. He quoted the damage at first at $2,300 and I had to push back and say that seemed very low. He shared he didn’t include the steel beam because he couldn’t get a good picture of it. I insisted he add everything and he came back with $3,000. However, when I was rear ended by another USAA member a year and a half ago I had not nearly as much damage and almost the same quote at a Volvo certified shop.
I absolutely felt that they represent USAA and not the best interest of myself or my vehicle. If USAA has you take your car here, I’d proceed with caution.
Update: In response to their reply, nobody from management or this establishment has been in touch with me.

Excellent experience. Our Prius was hit and needed door panel and front panel replaced. Everyone at Gerber was efficient and professional. They communicated very well via text and the car was fixed within a week. All around great experience.

Both Drew and Sarah were warm and welcoming. Drew performed repairs on my Honda CRV with precision and professionalism. And they were quick too. Tremendously great discount on the service as well. Thank you. JMC

I had backed over a bolder and it separated part of my bumper (the part that wraps around from the back to the side by the back wheel well) from where it's supposed to lie flush. I didn't know where to go and was worried about the cost to fix it. Gerber Collision was recommended to me so I went in for an estimate but instead they were able to maneuver it back into place so that it looks good as new and the charge?........ $0 I was so relieved and thankful! I'll definitely go to them for normal paid work going forward.

I had the unfortunate luck of using Gig Harbor’s Gerber Collision in February after someone backed their car into mine and I needed my front bumper replaced. They seemed to be very kind at first, both the technicians and the people at the front desk, but when it came time to pick up my car and I found issues right away, it became clear that they do not care about their customers or the cars they work on.
After I picked up my car, I noticed the front right headlight was out, the one that they had supposedly replaced. I call, hoping to get this straightened, and the person who answered was very short with me, and seemed very annoyed that I wanted them to fix the light that they were supposed to replace. This is after they tell me to call them if I run into any issues with the car.
Once I got there, the technicians met me at the door, barely spoke to me, and seemed eager to get me out of there.
Now that it’s getting darker, I noticed the right headlight seemed a little off. Once my left headlight (unrelated to Gerber) went out, I went to my tried and true dealership to fix both issues. I am then told by the dealership that the issue with my right headlight isn’t that it’s tilted and needed adjusted (as I previously thought), the issue is that Gerber Collision replaced my entire headlight casing with aftermarket parts. Insurance covered all of these parts, so it came as no cost to them, Gerber simply chose to use cheap and at this point, unusable parts without informing me. Now it is up to me to replace this, when Gerber should have done their job in the first place to insure my car was fixed correctly. I would never, ever come here again, and I urge others not to as well.

UPDATE: After posting the below review, the GM called us to discuss the delays and the duplicate messages. He was very apologetic and assured us the car would be ready by the end of the day. Hearing from him was great, but why did it take a bad review to get Gerber’s attention? I picked up the car, and it’s good. I changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars because of the quality of work and the GM’s attention.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Terrible customer service and terrible time estimates. I understand when things aren’t available to complete work on a vehicle but Gerber Gig Harbor sent us the same message three weeks in a row… car being painted, should be ready by the end of week. No results, no car. When speaking with customer service, they offer sugary assurances and no real information. I used to trust Gerber to take care of our vehicles. Not anymore! So awful. DON’T USE THEM!!!
