Sew Hip is Gig Harbor's newest sewing studio and fabric boutique. It is a fantastic and fun family-owned shop with a very kind, helpful, friendly, and professional team. The store carries a curated collection of quilting and garment fabric, including great designer options like Tilda, plus notions and hand embroidery. They offer excellent classes for ages 13 and up for all levels in quilting and garment construction. Students find the classes highly recommended, with a great pace and perfect, hands-on instruction that makes learning easy and effective. People leave happy, having retained more information than from videos alone, and often complete a project like a drawstring bag. With exceptional customer service and a welcoming feel, the shop also hosts tons of events. Customers report they will definitely return, be a customer for life, and recommend visiting to explore this great place and its full offerings.
Such a fun shop with a great variety of products! The owner is nice and helpful. Perfect place to grab the products I forgot to bring on my trip and grab a few fabric souvenirs too.

Sew Hip is an amazing store. Excellent selection of everything you need for quilting. I’m new to quilting and they helped me pick fabric that matched my project and gave me tips that I can use on future projects. Wonderful people, wonderful store—we are so lucky to have this store in Gig Harbor. I will be back!

Great quilt shop in Gig Harbor right at 16 and Wollochet. Separate room for their many classes. Nice staff
