Post Offices near Granger, WA

“I had the distinct “pleasure” of being served by a new staff member whose name I never caught—perhaps because she was too busy entering what I can only assume was the fourth stage of an emotional spiral. I arrived holding what I thought was a simple request.

Unfortunately, shortly after I began my transaction she became flustered. Personally I would’ve attributed it to my good looks but it might’ve had something to do with the small crowd that arrived behind me.

As more people filed in, I watched a transformation take place. The calm demeanor vanished. My once simple task started to become complex. In its place: nervous laughs, intense screen-staring, and a sarcastic commanding dialogue as if we had been friends for years.

I did get to enjoy a solid 10-minute intermission as I graciously allowed and observed her attend to everyone else in line. Honestly, it was kind of her to give me that time to reflect on all my life choices leading up to that moment.

Did my request get sorted? Eventually. Was it smooth? Not even remotely. But honestly, I kind of respect her commitment to barely holding it together.

Five stars, because watching someone visibly do their best while the universe tests their patience is the kind of thing that made the wait worth it.

(If you made it this far, clearly this is a joke. Just like I told the employee, I have too much time on my hands today. She’s solid though…will be going back soon with another crowd and a tedious task to stress her out again?‍↕️)”

“Edit: After trying to check my mail on Columbus day, not knowing it was an obscure holiday, & seeing the holiday list show Columbus day on the TENTH!, I was furious until I found that it IS Columbus day T'DAY! Stupid typo paper on the door. -_-
Original: Lobby hours are longer than 'office' hours so if u have mail ready to send, see the photo I posted for hours. Staff, tho here for very short hours, were very nice/professional when they ran into issues with providing me a specific service. They got things resolved & were pleasant in doing so. Many thanks guys! :)
The place is VERY small & needs a lot more love than their budget apparently will allow. Parking seems to only be available for 3 short vehicles maximum, one of which(far right) would need a handicap plate/plaque. PO Box prices, for the small ones at least, have been better than Sunnyside's for at least these last 6 months.”

“Ok. I was totally ready to rip into these people when my mail wasn't delivered. Why didnt they just drive it up to my house? And the phone contact for them had a horrible estimated 50 minute wait time! Anyways, I walk in, and their customer service was amazing. They were so nice, and the delivery driver guy said that I just have a tiny mailbox and that he didn't know if my dogs would just rip up the package if he left it on my front porch. They totally would have! I appreciate everything these people do, and I had no idea that it took a whole day to deliver everyones mail everyday. Mad respect for these people!”
