44 years ago the business license was acquired, that was 1979. Over the years working for thousands of good people on their special interest vehicles has been a pleasure. Becoming friends and traveling with them has been terrific as well. Our longevity proves our quality of work and honor.I hope you enjoy the photos of some of our clients cars.Services: Transmission

Unloaded a 29 ford truck that just returned after being at this shop almost 8 years. Cost was said to be in excess of $300,000...and the owner of this vehicle supplied his own drivetrain ( engine & transmission ). went to drive it and the brake pedal went to the floor! Poor door fit...loose bolt in suspension , small scratches in paint , left front tire rubbing...I could go on & on, compiling a long list of things that should have been addressed before releasing the truck to the owner, or wasn't 8 years & 300K long enough to complete the job?

Went and looked at the 29 ford from the previous review. From the amount of money spent and time it was there.. I would never have let that out of my shop the way it is, That's embarrassing

Don repaired my Deuce Roadster after an accident. The engine was shoved back, the transmission x member was cracked, front axle bent, etc. He continually updated me on the progress and asked questions regarding old parts he had to track down to make sure everything was alright and back to pre-crash condition. The finished work was beyond what I had expected which should have come as no surprise by what I have seen coming out of his shop.

I was in an accident in my '32 roadster while going to North West Deuce Days. Don offered to drive 60 miles to retrieve my car from the tow yard with his enclosed carrier. My insurance was a little slow and after waiting weeks and weeks on end he ended up paying $1300 out of his own pocket to bail my car out of the tow yard. He then went to work on the repairs in which he kept in constant contact with me giving me updates and asking questions regarding details of how I would like things done or were originally done. Knowing that I would drive the car 800 miles back home in California, Don went to the extra lengths to go over the car to ensure that all the mechanical items were working and fixed even if it was not related to the accident. I will also add he worked on his days off and weekends to get the car finished before the weather changed. He posted photos of the repair on his website so that I could visually see the progress. In the end the finished results of the highest quality. The paint is very good and a perfect match to the original, the workmanship is first class and with great attention to detail. In touring his shop when I went to pick up the car, Don gave me a tour of his shop as well as his personal cars. I was fortunate enough to see one of his current projects, which is a Riddle contender that just left me speechless as to the quality of craftsmanship his shop performed. Every aspect of the customer's cars that I saw in his shop was of the highest quality, his paint jobs are about as flawless as they come (I have been enamored with painting cars and the art of custom painting for 41 years and can find the flaw in a $80,000 to $100,000 plus Pebble Beach Concurs cars paint job). I observed his employees who are dedicated to doing the best job possible. Don did an exemplary job on repairing my car and I can find no fault in his work. His fees are actually less expensive when compared to other shops that perform this caliber of craftsmanship and were exactly what he had estimated it to before he started.
