I bought an Axis in 2021 with their help, guiding me in a decision. Super helpful throughout the purchase process. Ive since returned for aftermarket parts and a small warranty claim. They have always been very helpful and responsive.

Called first, they had what I needed at a Competitive price, the Customer service was great, The counter Person even told Me a Good Used Marine parts Store in Woodinville Where I can Score Vintage (1985) Boat Parts!!! Sweet!!! The Boats Here Look Sick!!! They Look Fast!!!

If you’re traveling during the summer and not able to check if the merchandise you purchased works, isn’t damaged, etc, it’s a hard stop at 30 days return. We purchased something 7/3 and returned 8/3 and they did everything possible to not let us return it. “Oops, we can’t honor a return. You purchased it 31 days ago. Oh, but you can try to sell it on Facebook marketplace.” Literally ridiculous.

While Bakes has a very attractive and clean website and a variety of parts that are hard to get elsewhere, their customer service is terrible. The only reason they received a two vs one star rating was because of Jessica, who is at least courteous in email. I rarely make reviews but after several bad experiences, it was time! They want everything done online or via email but you can’t get parts ordered in a timely manner nor can you complete a payment online without calling due to errors on the site. If you call and want to explain what you need, they quickly have you email and it seems as if you are bothering them to do the job that they have. Then, if you do email, you generally have to wait on a call to provide payment information. What reflects in-stock online isn’t always the case when you actually place an order.
We have ordered several things but each experience has been beyond frustrating. Talon (if I recall the name correctly) has no interest in helping customers. He’s extremely rude, doesn’t want to listen, and blames wanting to get off of the phone on being a “small business” instead of listening to resolve issues and/or actually showing care. I understand being a “small business” and the large amount of work that’s often placed on a limited amount of staff but sometimes it’s the small businesses that give you a lot of business (which could have been us, as a small business owner myself). He ruined any future potential purchases with a call I had with him last week. There have been several occasions in attempting to order parts that have just irked me.
My Dad also tried to order parts for us through them and kept being placed on hold until he was forced to hang up (several times in a row). My Dad voiced his frustration to me about his experience and he didn’t even have to tell me who it was. I simply said “was it Bakes?”. He said “yes!”. He couldn’t believe that I guessed correctly (that it was Bakes). I voiced my frustrations. He ordered elsewhere, with ease. I gave them one last opportunity a few weeks back but it was the same dance. Luckily, I’ve located another supplier of unique oil/parts and I will not be using Bakes again.

I purchased a malibu ski boat from them. I expected a little service when I attempted to order a part from them , but I am still waiting for any kind of response. What a joke !!!! BTW I got the part from elsewhere. Absolutely horrible.

Normally a good experience with these guys but very frustrated this time. I get emails from them advertising their 20% off Thanksgiving sale. I go online to order my winterizing parts for next year and only get $2.46 discount on a $165 order. None of the items show as on sale (a reasonable caveat of their 20% discount). I call the store and am told that the discount also does not apply to items that are already at their lowest possible price so my items must be in that category, although he admittedly is just guessing. Very misleading "sale"!!! So check your cart carefully before completing your purchases! Hi Paul - thanks for the quick response. I think you are missing my point and perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I am fine with this discount not applying to already discounted items and I understood that prior to attempting my purchase. Where I have an issue is where you refuse to apply the discount to items that are not marked as already discounted. That is misleading and in my opinion a very poor business practice.

I really want to give them a good review, but I just can't. I have ordered hundreds of dollars in parts from them on two occasions. Both times getting the parts was a PITA. They won't ship to an address other than the billing address. This is a non-starter for lots of people. I was able to call them (probably tried calling 12 times before getting a human on the phone), and I eventually got them to ship to my vacation home where we keep out boat. But it delayed the parts order by about a week. That's unacceptable.When I was able to reach a human, they were very nice and very helpful. But it is impossible for me to order from them just on the internet.Lastly, one part I ordered was not in stock. I was told the part would be shipped when the part came in. I never got anything. I wasn't charged, but they promised the order would be filled when the part came in. It was not.I wish them the best, but I won't order from them ever again.

I made an order and met the conditions for free shipping. I called days later, and they said they wanted to charge me for shipping. poor customer service and inaccurate advertising. would not recommend doing business with them.

Tried calling but recording said they don’t answer phone and need to send email. So sent two emails and no answer for over 10 days. So then drove down from Snohomish only to find doors locked and no one there. Assume they are out of business?

Managed to damage the propeller on my Axis due to a winch incident. Mike was able to schedule an inspection appointment the next day. Jeff and Mike inspected the propeller, shaft and rudder, replaced the damaged propeller. And I was back on the road in less than 10 minutes! Wonderful experience as always!

Awesome place to do your boating business. We bought our new boat from Darren at the boat show and do all our service there. There's been many occasions where I needed help understanding systems on the boat, or needed advice, and Darren and Zach are right there to help you. Have had excellent experiences with the service we've had done. As busy as Mike is, he's made the time to be super responsive and cares about making sure I get the info I need. Another close friend of ours also swears by Bakes and we are customers for "boat" life!
