I paid for my membership in August 2023 and when I was in the store they told me my membership is not renewed. I showed the proof but any way a had to paid again. They gave the phone number where to call. I spoke with the customer service and told me they will send me my money back. It is almost 8 months and never received my money back. I called many times and always the same answered. Really it is terrible! For me Costco is a 0 start whole sale.

The quality of your products have gone downhill!! I use to purchase anything from Costco without ever questioning the quality because if Costco carried it, then it was top notch. This is not the case anymore. Customer service refused to return the $3,000 LG refrigerator after several issues with it within 3 months of installation.Update: 2 years later: We have had 3 service tickets to repair the craft ice maker. They even replaced the ice maker completely and its still not functioning properly. This refrigerator is a lemon but they do not care. My other complaint from the beginning was the "stainless steel" dings easily. They state well this is cosmetic but the point is WHY is a $3k refrigerator made with such cheap material? I expected to have a high quality product for the amount of money spent but this is not the case. In conclusion, you cannot blindly trust the quality of their products anymore.

BEWARE OF THE NEW COSTCO ZOMBIES!!Costco has hired a new bunch of people that have NO idea what they are doing. Apparently there is no training, apprenticeship. They will mess up your membership; they will mess up your checkout. There is also a new text process for pharmacy customers that complicates things. **Always** go to the customer service first before approaching the pharmacy checkout. The new COSTCO ZOMBIES will mess things up at the pharmacy counter.

Let me start that the people working within the store where I shop are friendly, hard-working, and efficient!!!I want to suggest some improvements to headquarters that will make shopping at Costco less unpleasant. It is annoying to be asked for my Costco card when I enter, AND when I'm in line for checkout. It seems that using it once for checkout would be sufficient. This is how our Sams Club does it.You should offer hand-help UPC readers as Sams Club does. This way, I will not have to lift heavy items onto your tiny UPC reader platform. If you must require scanned items to be placed in the holding area that is only 3'x3' with remnants of the previous customer's raw chicken drippings, please make the area larger. Again, Sams Club allows me to keep the items in my cart where I carefully placed them.On a lesser note, your self-serve check-out systems are condescendingly loud.Sams Club allows me to purchase tax-exempt items online. If I purchase tax-exempt items in the store, I can do so at their self-checkout items without filling out the outdated paper form that Coscto needs. My advice is for you to go to Trader Joe's and Sam's Club and look for ways to copy their experiences so that customers may leave your store in a good mood.

By far the WORST treatment I’ve ever had by any company ever! We were with Costco Connect home and auto insurance for over 15 years without missing a payment and having a constant excellent driver record yet our policy got cancelled because they said I was supposed to call to let them know our 15 year of did not have her license. This makes absolutely no sense! Of course I would have known to call the moment she Does get her license…. But I’m supposed to notify that she doesn’t? And worse, we when 10 days without auto insurance because we didn’t know it was cancelled….on winter roads….in Montana!!! I can’t even imagine what would have happened to our family if there had been an accident!!!

The strangest part that rating you2.7*,never cross my mind that Costco at this level the reason for that no matter what costco is about customer service and I'm being doing business with Costco almost 40 years,I do feel sad to know this level hoping someone at the corporate office pay attention for the customers worry,so many bigger than Costco disappeared ..............you must absorb the madness first ,I do know Costco it's about customer service , that's the name of it........so please keep your customer service as #1 achievement........thanks

As a longtime member of Costco all the way back when they were Price club this is the first time I had a problem I was not receiving my rewards for my executive card went in days before Christmas twin choir and told they would contact the corporate offices to get a response why I was told to stop in the next time I was shopping so I did today it’s been a couple of weeks so I went to the customers desk to get a response. The first associate had no clue what she was talking about so she called the manager over who treated me rudely. It was very arrogant, claiming that I never stopped in to make an inquiry basically accusing me of lying to her. Why would somebody lie about this ,I have no idea .so I called the corporate office and made my complaint the gentleman on the phone with very nice and told me my reward would be coming and that he would get in touch with the store manager and have them call me which he did the store manager called me and could not care less whether I was upset what I was treated badly. It was like I was inconveniencing her. If this is what Costco has come down to. It’s time for me to end my membership after all these years.

On Dec. 23, 2021, we had a shopping list for $400 of household goods and groceries at a local Bay Area Costco. Instead of a personal shopping, we decided to try Instacart delivery. We did apple to apple, item by item comparison. What we found was nothing short of a shock. Costco’s up-charge was 24.4%, then Instacart had 5% service charge and 10% tip on top of the subtotal, bringing the total to $550! This means you pay 38% over a personal shopping! The tip was understandable, but not the Costco’s up-charge. It is outrageous mark-up by an industry giant who enjoys making unethical profits from unsuspecting customers globally. There should be close scrutiny by consumer protection agencies.
