“PRP injections by Dr. Saunders got my arthritic right knee and thumb joints back in action! I had my outer meniscus totally removed when I was in the USAF in 1977. Over time arthritis set in. I could never bend my knee more than 90 degrees without it hurting and feeling like it would explode. Now I can jackknife my leg so my heel can almost touch my glute and with no pain. Riding my mountain bike, working out and hiking is no problem. About 3 years ago my thumb joints were so bad, I couldn't clip my nails. After the PRP injections, I'm able to clip my nails with no problem. Were the PRP shots painful? For me, not really because I have a high pain tolerance. People should consider PRP injections before surgery (if possible). I met a gal who was wearing the same thumb braces that I used to wear. She said the surgery made it worse. Yikes!”
