I've come in to buy alcohol and when I was checking out the tall young lady Madix was very rude, cold and always has a bad attitude when she asked for my ID. She knows I am over 21 and won't ask people way older then me for thier ID. She made it so I don't want to give them (Safeway) my business.

The produce section of this store has been more than just awful the last few months. I've attached a photo of just one example of produce that went moldy within 3 days of buying it. Black mold on one side, classic white fuzz on the other. This is constant. And for what they charge, it's robbery. There isn't any point in going back for an exchange because they have so little and what they do have looks like this when it's sitting there for sale. If it's not already molding in the store (assuming there's even a selection) it will be gone in two days tops. Most of the time I'm choosing the best of 8 cucumbers that they have for sale and one time my girlfriend brought one to the front that the cashier noticed made noise and sound when it was handled. Thankfully that person just threw it away. If you see me shaking cucumbers, you now know why. I'm not crazy. This store just has ZERO fresh produce.

Pharmacy is incredibly slow and inefficient. And rude! ! I usually go elsewhere and I was just shocked at how bad the experience was.

I pressed the call light to purchase alcohol, a lady named Jane headed me the bottle and told me to make sure " I pay for it". Smh not okay , the white lady before me handed a bottle to and did not tell her that! When I stated that to Jan and stated that she was racial profiling and I would be reporting her she said well sorry. Not okay , while checking I explain to the George out the cashier what happened he stated he didn't want to hear that! I let the manager know who gave me a blank stare , I wont be going back and will be reporting them to corporate. Very overpriced , racist place.

I was checking out in the self checkout and this older employee wearing a Canadian flag mask accused me of stealing. I was checking out at the machine too. Disappointed in my experience after going here for so long.

I love the Safeway at Issaquah Highlands! It is well stocked with a variety of products, and the staff at this location are all very friendly and knowledgable. They make every grocery trip such a pleasant experience!

Love this store. It has unique items that I can't find elsewhere. Produce is good. The cashiers are efficient and friendly. Never long lines so am not forced into using self checkout. I don't mind self checkout and use it when I only have a couple of items. Also like that there is a Safeway gas station nearby. Hope that the merger of Albertson's/Safeway with Kroger does not mess things up at this store if the merger happens.

This review is for Safeways bakery's Boston fruit cake, yes please. In Orange County we are spoiled by countless bakeries within arms reach, here in washington state it's not as accessible. This grocery store cake is fluffy, light. The cake is moist and layered with a Boston cream in the middle. I personally wish there was more cream but, the amount is a good amount. The fruit on top was fresh and the whipped cream was slightly sweet and plentiful. Although it's a 6/10 to likeness, it does remind me a bit of a Korean bakery cake. For $10 it's not a bad comparison

I love this Safeway! I stopped by on Friday to grab some last minute flowers and satisfy my kombucha craving and it looked like quite the popular Safeway. The outside looked majestic with the snow covered trees in the mountains in the background and it is located is a cute area. There was a large selection of kombucha to choose from and I chose multi green, which is one of my favorites. The flowers were breathtaking and I had trouble picking out a bouquet. The prices were very reasonable; at MET market the bouquets look almost the same except they are $38!!!! There were also great sales on wine I noticed at checkout. I went to self checkout and although it was busy the line moved very quickly. Great shopping experience!

On Monday around 6 PM I was shocked that a customer paying for her groceries did not have a mask and her kid inside the basket neither. Then when I looked at the cashier she had her mask below her nose. I wanted to tell them something but why?? Where was the management? I thought stores especially a supermarket are making sure that all is safe for the rest of us. Well, that was not the case. After I paid, the customer was in the customer service section and they again were entertaining her without a mask. Management, please make sure your employees and customers are following protocols from the state. Ridiculous.

Besides shopping at Fred Meyers and QFC, occasionally I stop in at my neighborhood Safeway to take advantage of their sales. Getting $3 off laundry detergent and $2 off of fabric softener is a pretty good deal. I also like to buy meat here. They have some cuts that are not available at the other neighborhood supermarketsWe scored a very nice (3 rib) marbled prime rib for Christmas dinner and it was a steal for $6.99 a pound! It was roasted to medium rare and was delicious!Everyone must wear a mask before entering and line up to checkout 6 feet apart!FYI, 8 piece dark meat fried chicken usually sells for $5. Although tasty, it's rather greasy!

I always liked going to the izapa Highlands Safeway because it was open when I got off work from the hospital at 7:00 in the morning you just lost a regular loyal customer. I went in to go buy some milk so when I got up in the afternoon I can make my coffee and they had no cashiers for any of the normal lanes for purchase the only head self service and when I asked how are they gonna have someone who didn't want to self scan they said no we're not gonna have We're not gonna have the regular cashiers open for another hour. You were a regular stop when I had to work but no more if you can't be bothered to pay cashiers you don't need my business it is absolutely unacceptable to charge people full price when you're expecting them to do the work of an employee

I recommend that Safeway become responsible for ALL their customers to wear masks, and make it mandatory. People constantly wandering around the store, not trying to keep their distance and not wearing a mask. I am boycotting Safeway, until it does!
