I needed some vaccinations the other day... I visited Rite-Aid, and it was crazy, with a long wait for a flu vaccination and an appointment requirement for a COVID-19 vaccination. I searched for other pharmacies nearby and dropped into Medical Center Pharmacy, hoping they could accommodate me. In far less time than the wait I was quoted, they had me vaccinated and on my way, along with a quick discussion about why the pharmacy industry is so messed up. I wish they were closer to me; I'd move all my prescriptions to them. Kind, quick, and I don't leave feeling like I'd had my soul sucked out of me like I do at the national chain pharmacies.

I had to make an appointment to get a vaccine which was easy and seamless. I showed up on the wrong day by accident though AND also forgot my necessary paperwork and yet they were so accommodating! They were kind and worked with me to figure my life out. I still ended up getting everything I needed. Thank you!!

Martin the owner is second to none. He is professional knowledgeable courteous and just a downright good man. Excellent pharmacist. 99 percent of Martins staff are equally excellent. Highly recommend.

I've used Medical Center Pharmacy for several years and always liked their customer service, until the last couple months. A few months ago, I ordered my Rx and I always have it mailed. It didn't arrive for two weeks, so I called and they said I had picked it up, which I hadn't, because it was mailed. So they said "oh someone named Robert something picked it up." Which wasn't accurate, I have no idea who that was and mine was supposed to be mailed. So they remailed it but it resulted in my cat not having her meds for several weeks (it takes them usually a week to make it and then mail it so I try to order it with 2 weeks left but they used that two weeks up). Second incident was this month. I moved from Federal Way to Chehalis in August and had my Rx updated from Federal Way to Chehalis. One refill was mailed to the new address in August. So we should have been OK there. I ordered a refill on September 11th and they said on the phone "since this is going to Chehalis I assume we mail it" which I confirmed the address and they verified it all and I thought we were good to go. Two weeks later, no package was received so I called them again and they said they sent it to Federal Way. I told them that was the wrong address and they said "oh ok well let me check" and looked at something on my account and found the Chehalis one but said it had gone to the Federal Way one and weren't sure why. So they said they'd re-mail it. I confirmed with them they would not double charge me which they confirmed. Note: I specifically did not authorize a secondary charge. I looked this morning and there was a second charge on September 23rd for the 2nd prescription. I called them and was told "the owner said to charge you twice and if we get the other one back, we will refund your money." They wouldn't talk to me about it, I have to call the owner in a week when he was back from vacation. They had no empowerment or authority to fix this for a customer. I couldn't believe it. They fraudulently charged me then refused to fix it. So in summary - they made a mistake and mailed it to the wrong address (this was not me failing to update the address), they told me they wouldn't charge me twice, and then did charge me twice. And I only get my money back if they get the other package back (which is 100% out of my control, because I don't live there anymore, didn't have control over the class of service they mailed it with so the USPS may not even return it, I don't know.) Great customer service. I'm taking this up with my bank and will be calling the owner next week (who is conveniently out of town). But will never be using this place again and would recommend that you don't either. I don't use companies that charge their customers for their own mistakes.

I am a grateful customer of Medical Center Pharmacy. A pharmacy where they know (and care) who you are. They help me save money on my medicine - not because I asked, but because they could. I am welcomed with a smile and guided with kindness. This is no trivial experience. I am very familiar with the chain pharmacies. I used to think It was convenient to have an app on my phone remind me when I needed a refill but the convenience ended there. Having a pharmacy remember who you are - is a uniquely humanizing experience. When I am ill, not feeling myself, or down, the chain stores always had the ability to make me feel like I was a number, another person to 'deal with', or at worst lumped in the morass of folks who use the pharmacy for reasons other than a medical purpose. They're not open after six, and they're closed on weekends. They are also hidden behind the post office and if you blink, you'll miss it, but I would not ever consider changing - ever!

I was prescribed a compound medicine that is apparently only available at this pharmacy in the area. I didn't know anything about compound meds but they are actually hand-mixed by the pharmacist. I wish the doctor from urgent care had sent my prescription to this location. He should have known that this was the only pharmacy in Issaquah that carried it. (It was a medicine that's used to help sore throats...pretty common.) But regardless, the way that the prescription was apparently written in an unusual way...the pharmacist there was really awesome and not only took the time to call the doctor to clarify instructions, but called me to let me know what was going on. I would highly recommend coming to this place. 5 stars all around.

WOW! Martin is hands-down fabulous: the best pharmacist I've ever worked with. So knowledgable - goes the mile for his clients. Makes you feel like you are the only customer in the world. I WILL never go to another pharmacist again - they don't make anyone like Martin!

Absolute best, and a massive difference from the impersonal box store pharmacies! Martin is probably one of the last true "pharmacists" out there, and has been there to answer any question I have.Often my doc's will ask HIM for advice, Martin and gave him a call when I was having some very unusual things going on. He took hours to help me out with issues I was having with various meds, doing research when needed, and calling me back to help when the doctor's couldn't! He and his staff always take the time to acknowledge me and never make me feel rushed. It's like a small town feel, which is so rare in today's society. He actually asks how you are doing, and I feel like he and his staff genuinely want to be part of the team that treats me! Martin is also very cost conscious, and will find any way to save you money if possible. I also appreciate the drive-up window, and that they don't make you come back to fill your script. You can actually wait there in your car, and they will get it done in minutes time so you don't have to go back in line. I even insisted my Vet send my dog's eye drop prescription to Martin that they could no longer carry and wanted me to switch to a very expensive ointment instead. I knew he could make the drop as a compound pharmacist, which they were wary. He performed his magic, and my dog's eyes are better than ever! Now they are sending other patients his way, and I will always recommend others go there for any prescription need! My only wish is they were open on weekends, but I will make it work if it means great service and prices.

Martin is the best pharmacist in the area and I've gone there for 3 years now. Just as others mentioned, he adds a personal touch but he additionally goes over and beyond his job duties to help. There have been several situations with insurance companies that he handled for me. I was recently prescribed a brand new medication he hadn't dispensed yet, which requires a certification. He's actually taking the class to get his certification so that he can fill it! Most pharmacists would just have said "no". Martin's awesome and so are the other people working there. There is no comparison at all to any other I've done business with.

Bad experience. The guy running the place has a tendency to make falls claims, overcharges, and may lose your prescription. Constant hassle. Never again, don't need the hassle

My family and I have used Costo and Fred Meyer's pharmacies in the past. While both were fine, they were both missing the human element. What they did promote was shopping while waiting, often up to half-an-hour. And asking questions, especially personal ones, was not something I'd consider since the staff looked either too young and inexperienced, or seemed too busy to give me their full attention. The internist I was seeing, a doctor I trusted and respected but who has returned to his home in Canada to practice, recommended Martin and Issaquah Medical Center Pharmacy. Dr. Purdon said other patients of his recommended Martin. Since switching, I will never go elsewhere. Even my husband, a die-hard Fred Meyer patron because of its hours, is convinced that we've found an-old-fashioned, caring pharmacist who treats his customers like friends and neighbors. Martin and his staff are invested in our community. They're a small business offering a vital service with lots of...TLC (tender loving care)! I hope Martin never retires!

I don't find many pharmacists that will work as hard to help you as the staff at medical center pharmacy. Customer service here is awesome and completely unlike what you'll find at the big chains. Very worth coming here. And they have a drive through!

This pharmacy understands customer service. I had been having a very hard time finding a particular medication for my daughter. Martin did research, found it and special ordered it for us. It arrived a day later. The staff is super friendly and I appreciated the emphasis on helping their customers to the best of their ability.
