This is a fantastic, cozy, woman-owned yoga studio in Issaquah that I've been going to for about a year. Dora, the owner and a frequent instructor, is relentlessly cheerful and constantly amazes me with her expertise in weaving together unique, intense, and creative classes that offer challenge and inner respite for a range of student abilities and energy levels. I love that it's warm, but not too hot: usually high 70s to low 80s. There's rarely overcrowding, so there's space to stretch out. The studio is very clean, there are plenty of available props, and there's even 2 bathrooms and a shower. The studio offers online (recorded and livestream) classes as well as occasional workshops, retreats, and mindfulness / yoga teacher trainings too. There's always parking right in front, and Dora has also allowed me to bring my bike into the lobby for safekeeping during class.

Spira is one of the best studios I’ve ever been to—it’s clean, friendly, and welcoming. Dora is an amazing teacher and yogini, and I love how she perfectly combines physical rigor with the spiritual & mental sides of yoga. Truly, it’s an art.

I've been doing yoga at Spira for several years now and can't imagine going anywhere else. Dora's yoga classes are physically challenging for the experienced yogi, but not unapproachable for those new to the practice. She has an incredible depth of knowledge, so you know you're learning proper technique. She's also darn funny, reminding us that joy and humor are important parts of every life endeavor. This is NOT just an exercise class, Dora is building something special here in Issaquah. Support small local business owners and gain a community!

Great slow-flow Sunday PM class with Alyssa. I’ve been looking for a slower, more mindful practice that still gives me great movement, and Alyssa’s Yin/Yang class on Sunday PM at 5:30 was fantastic! If you’re looking for a slow vinyasa and yin poses, a dose of wisdom, and a welcoming environment at all levels, check this one out. I live in Ballard but I’ll be coming back!

If you are looking for a yoga studio, this is a great choice whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner. I have been practicing yoga for over a decade; have been to multiple studios across Seattle, the Eastside, and the country; been in yoga teacher trainings; etc. and I can honestly say that Spira is one of the best in the area. All of the teachers are great and the owner is a very knowledgeable practitioner with a heart of gold and beautiful values.

One of the best yoga classes I’ve ever been to. I hadn’t practiced in years. The instructor was easy to follow and encouraging. Classmates were welcoming and polite.

Dora was provided a wonderful practice in a relaxed setting. I got exactly what I needed from this practice including a good sweat, an excellent full body stretch and a renewed perspective on the day. Highly recommend.

At Spira Yoga, I get my daily dose of mindfulness along with a range of yoga classes, from challenging power yoga to soft flows and guided meditations. The variety of classes and workshops really hits the spot for all of life's daily ups and downs.I love the studio because their classes make me feel strong in both mind and body. And as an avid jiujitsu practitioner, I can say that yoga really compliments the sport. So thankful for Spira Yoga!

I've been a member of Spira for about a year now and I can honestly say it's my favorite yoga studio. Despite the challenges of Covid, the classes are both challenging and mindful. During the current phase, both zoom and in person classes are offered. I prefer in person classes and the environment is extremely clean and safe! The studio also offers educational and well being workshops that are fun and another great way to deepen your practice. I highly recommend Trying spira!

Horrible experience. The owner is a self proclaimed guru that has modified the true yoga essence to fit the commercial standards. Her husband, teaches some of the classes, what a nightmare, he has no idea what he is doing. There is barely any space to do some of the moves because they allow so many people in a very small space. If you are looking for real yoga there are many places in the west Seattle area much better than this one.

Spira has everything have been looking for to supplement my running, keep me injury free and help me tame my stress. I could not tolerate hot yoga due to migraine and kept watching the clock in yoga classes I took at the gym. I tried Spira Issaquah location through groupon, 10 classes for around 40 dollars. I loved intro series available every month to ease the Beginners into yoga or get familiar with studio and instructors. 1 hr goes by fast, there is no clock or mirrors so no destruction or comparison. Studio is warm, but not hot allowing for optimal environment. All instructors I had so far are very engaging and met me at my level. I never feel overwelmed but always challenged. After 10 classes I signed up to continue with Spirz. My only hope is that they will add more 7 pm classes in future as they have in West Seattle location, which is established and busier.

Beautiful space and great teachers. The classes are truly all levels and kept between 85-90 degrees to avoid over-stretching and injury. Challenging for sure and you'll still sweat, yet it's mindful and breath-based. The focus is on the sensations of the body and breath and not a perfect posture. Excited that Issaquah can now benefit from these teachers and methodology :)
