This new shopping center is down on the Kalama Waterfront down the road past the McMenamins Lodge and Lounge with a child playground and walkable park and beach area with picnic tables in between. The new shopping center is located off exit 30 of the I-5 Interstate with a big lite up red sign called "Public Market" but it is also known as the "Mountain Timber Market." It has several different shops inside with several more vacancies available for rent. It is two stories with two sets of stairs, restrooms on both floors, and a large elevator near one of the stairs. On the second floor there are two separate professional conference rooms with large wall size flat screen TV's on one side of the building and on the other side are two future restaurants still under construction. Some of the shops, such as the winery, art photography gallery, bakery, and mini deli offer 10% military discount, the plant shop offers 20% military discount, and the other shops offer no military discount at this time. There is a little Kalama cubical store shop with Washington Souvenirs, Sweat Shirts, and Coffee Mugs. A Art Decorative Decor Store with a lot colorful products. A Decorative Chocolate Shop, Winery Store, high-end Glossy Art Photography Gallery shop, a cute little plant store, a flavorful cute little Bakery that also sells dessert scented candles, a Coffee Shop with a menu of drinks, sandwiches, pizzas, muffins, and bagels, and a cute little deli with a variety of breads, meats, cheeses, drinks, snacks, kitchen utensils items, and about a dozen different gelato ice cream flavors. Something I really like about each of the stores is that you can enter from the inside or outside and they all have see through garage sliding doors that can be opened during the warmer months so there businesses can expand to the outdoors during the Spring and Summer seasons!Playground: Just to the right of the building closest to the main roadRestrooms: Inside on both the first and second floor.Dog-friendliness: Very pet friendly areaPicnic area: Picnic tables to the right of the building from the main road

One of the best parks on Columbia. Parking is plentiful but on really hot days can be scarce. You can drive out right onto the sand and enjoy a swim. There are bathrooms and volleyball nets. There is no fee.

Overall very nice spot to hang out. Clean. Parking is great since you can drive right on the beach. Wish they had more patrols going around.Had an incident with a dog not on a leash even though there are a couple of signs stating you must have your dog on one, the owners were very careless and classless considering there were many many children around and the dog wasn’t very obedient since they had to consistently call his name before he would react to them. On top of being a dangerous breed of dog.

It's not on the map but we found the tennis and pickle ball court here right on the water. It's also right next to the public restroom. Beautiful and well maintained park. The lines on the courts could use a refresh but this is the only local pickle ball location so we'll take what we can get!

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful park along the pure and slow moving Columbia River. Quiet, very little foot traffic. Great place to bring the pups and take in a deep breath to relax. I'll definitely be coming here often now that I'm living in the area. Five stars everyday from me!

Very nice park. I actually took my wife here for our first date. It has a path above the beach and volleyball. It has shelters and a beach to swim at. It has tennis courts and basketball. Then at the end of the walk is a McMenamins that is huge with cool views and it looks very nice as well. Also has some totem poles that have been there for years, I know they took one down because of rot however still really cool and historically significant.Restrooms: Clean bathrooms, it has family rooms as well.Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly, great place to walk your dog.Picnic area: They have shelters to have picnics at.

I stopped to walk my dog, it's a decent park. However after about 10 minutes, security parked behind my car, and watched me for about 20 minutes, until I left. It was a very uncomfortable experience, and there was no reason for them to be watching me, and only me, while I was there. Am very disappointed

Very good park. Sandy shore warm water we were there in August. There are eating areas, valley ball nets, a little area for working out, long walking trails, public restrooms. This park has a rail road very close, occasionally train passes by. The park is well taken care of clean and tidy. Good place for a family pick nick.
