Overall, this cabin experience was great! Downside is the distance from the main lodge and the food had to be brought over from main lodge. The wait time for the food was actually less than what was expected, which was a plus. The bar staff was friendly, he was happy to stamp anyone who came through the doors! Our water was always refilled quick. Games are available at the bar to sit and have a friendly conversation.Highly recommended.

Must say Jeremy made this place overall. He was not only friend but went the extra mile catching us on the path asking if our pups needed water. Great sunset on the patio, fire stoked and going. Patio was dog friendly. Surprised w the quality food. Small bbq chicken pizza, tots, wine beer and tip for $50…. Wouldn’t hesitate to do it over. Jeremy was attentive entire visit to all guests, despite being Friday night dinner rush, didn’t miss a step! Thank you for a great date night out

Loved the fire in the wood burning fireplace, waitress was very friendly and the rubinator beer is awesome, we ordered a club sandwich that was large enough to feed two.

Ahles Point Cabin is a great neighborhood venue. The setting is on the Columbia River and the log cabin fits the location perfectly. The menu is limited compared to McMenamin's (where the food is prepared) and takes a little longer to arrive but you shouldn't come here if fast food is your primary goal. The beverage service is quick and courteous and the tables outside are a wonderful place to watch boats and fishermen when the weather allows. Go check it out!

This is my FAV McMenamins location in Kalama! I love the small cozy quaint feeling, the fireplace is warm and the attention to detail is gorgeous. The bartenders, Monica and Jeremy are pretty rad also?? I’m not a beer drinker, I will go for a glass of wine or a chai latte, hubby loves a cold beer. Highly recommend you take a trip!

I had high hopes for this new hotel located on the Columbia River and it was only an hour away from Portland. Yes, I'll give it a high five for great view of the river and mostly private porch. Having said that, this hotel is not particularly well run. Elevators not working all day on Sunday - so if you're on the 4th floor and need to haul your luggage down well... As far as on site restaurants - yes, they have great views as well, but same mediocre McMenamins food you get at any of their locations. If you're looking for a cozy bed, this is not the place. Sheets were low quality and scratchy. Management would be wise to keep staff on site and not send them home even if there is a slow period. Our staff member was working alone trying to serve quite a few people. She did a good job but sure could have used a helping hand. Yes, there is a coffee bar downstairs off the main lounge, but don't count on it being re-supplied if the coffee or cream are empty. For the money that was spent for a night (as in $387) I probably would have driven to Seattle and stayed at 4-star hotel with a view!

Cozy cottage walking distance to the Kalama Harbor Lodge. Attentive staff makes sure you are enjoying the experience. Play cribbage or backgammon while you enjoy your wine beer or spirits while trains roll by.

This is not a restaurant or cafe. We stopped for lunch and ordered food and were not informed the food was prepared in the nearby lodge. We waited almost an hour and were never informed they had no one to deliver the food to our location. We had to drive to the lodge to pick up our food and it took a while to get our food, which had been sitting around for a long time. Only go here for drinks.
