“This place is exactly what you should expect for the price and location. The staff is the reason for 5 stars. Mary, Tony and everybody else (except for one member of the housekeeping team who is a bit megalomaniacal for somebody who works a job that requires no formal training) I've encountered are extremely pleasant and accommodating. ??”

“Old fashioned, still use room keys, not key cards. No hair dryers. Very nice room, very nice place, has a nice Continental breakfast, with great coffee. Lady at the desk was very nice, and informative. Highly recommend this place, will definitely stay here again.”

“Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. During our stay Castle Rock received very hot weather 100 and higher. The air conditioner was a godsend.”
“Reservation made on line and immediately seated upon arrival! Initial waitress seemed distracted and didn't smile much, though the server who brought out meals was courteous, friendly and very helpful.”

“I stayed here for a 3-week work assignment and it was everything I needed:
The hotel staff was always friendly and professional. They kindly took care of a minor maintenance request within minutes, as well as my reservation change request.
Clean rooms with all the standard amenities. Rotating hot breakfast that was always fresh and ready on time (6am) including eggs, meats, potatoes, and the standard continental items. Safe, relatively quiet, and convenient location with many great restaurants within walking and driving distance. Mt. St. Helens is only about an hour away, and the coast is well within driving distance for a day trip.
Non-issues that I saw in other reviews:
The parking lot is on the smaller side, but there was always ample parking during my three-week stay, even when the front lot was full.
The fitness center doesn't have free weights (dumbbells), but I was still able to complete my usual daily workouts using the cable machine. There is also a treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike. The fitness center is adjacent to the pool and is climate controlled.
There is no elevator, but there are 3 sets of staircases, so you won't have to carry your luggage very far. If this is a concern, I recommend requesting a room on the first floor. They do have a luggage cart in the hallway.
Thanks to the hardworking staff for the wonderful stay! I truly appreciate your hard work.”
