I went to have a hitch installed. They had to move my appointment from Thursday to Friday. So I show up Friday morning, waited 30 minutes to even get to the counter (super slow, witnessed an argument between an employee and a customer), filled out paper work and left my car. After having my car almost all day, they call to say they "couldn't get to installing the hitch." When we got the keys - no apology or explanation. Complete waste of my day.

Buggy system and incompetent employees. I spend an hour at this location today while their system was crashing. Employees were completely clueless and kept "entertaining" me by asking for my information over and over and over again. I've had enough and left an hour later.

Place is funny. Elderly gentleman is belittling. They act like you're renting a luxury vehicle. It's a 20 yr old vehicle with 130k miles and no I don't want to back it in or spend a second longer in your smelly vehicle than I need to. Provide clean efficient service and instructions instead of smoking on the job while doing the bare minimum

I have rented from this location several times before but never again. The contract reported gas at a certain level. The needle was lower when I pulled away but rose to the contract level after a couple of blocks. I drove van 14 miles and added 2 gallons of gas. The needle dropped to the same level as pickup when I turned the key off and on at drop off. I was charged $33 for gas. Called back to discuss with rude check in person and was told to file a complaint but that he would not change it. Stay away from this location.

Employees at this location have no common sense or understanding of how customer service works. I called a competing rental agency and it was like night and day.

Great job! The two guys were tasked with a tough one! But they still got it done before noon. Super helpful, very easy going. Grade A service from this Uhaul. Thanks again!Ps: they're just now starting to take appointments for hitch installation. The website is still new for this feature, so your Best bet is to call In your hitch appointment!

I found this U-Haul outlet to be exemplary. Mainly due to the guy who was working at 2pm Weds the 18th of 2023. He was multi-tasking like a boss and made stuff happen. Kudos to him!

Price was 20 over quote. They had the wrong dolly in the truck and added moving blankets. The gas gauge didint register until i went a decent amount over half a tank therefore paid extra (non reimbursable) gas. Got a 30 dollar service charge even though it was returned in the condition I got it after sweeping the back. Last but not least this location didn't allow me to drop off at a different location. Overall a very displeasing experience from uhaul. Although the girl at the counter was super friendly.

My 5-star review is based solely on Employee Kevin at the Kenmore, WA facility for his work ethic and his stellar customer service. When I drove in to buy some boxes, I saw him outside trying to help a customer bringing in a trailer and I noticed he was also working on the return of two trucks. When I got into the store, the employee behind the counter immediately informed me he was leaving and if I wanted to buy something, I would have to wait for another employee. Not knowing how many employees were there and thinking someone else must be in the office, I waited for assistance. When it became obvious no other employee was in the store, I poked my head outside and saw Employee Kevin busy outside multi-tasking. I asked him if he was the only employee working and let him know I would like to purchase some boxes. He was unaware that the other employee had left and was not happy to learn that that employee had left without helping me. He immediately apologized for the other employee’s lack of care and service, stopped what he was doing and came in and kindly helped me, even carrying the boxes out to my car. Stellar employee … U-Haul is lucky to have him. Way to be Kevin!

I have rented trailers here with no issue, however getting propane filled at this location is... an intermittent offering. As long as you can catch a manager who hasn't gone home early and endure the wait and the eye rolls you might get your propane filled. Be prepared to wade through the excuses though, they may not have their gloves, or might not be certified. If it's raining out they really just don't want to do it at all. Perhaps they should just pull the service so people don't waste a trip going down there and being turned away.

I had a wonderful experience. The staff here go out of their way to help the customers. William and Colton were amazing and they made the rental experience super smooth. The return was seamless in the after hours. The equipment was all great. I am more than happy to recommend them.

Liars work here. Watch out for discrepancies with the gas and mileage. Used this location in Kenmore Washington a couple of times before with no issues.This time I was given a half full truck but with a contract that said the truck was 11/16ths full and the mileage on the contract was set 4 miles less than what was really there - so $8 extra and a lot of free gas for them when you drive it off the lot.That is the first part of the scam this place is now running to improve profit margins. The other part is structuring customer relations such that you trust them to do you right - you assume they know what they are doing and are not idiots and are being helpful and that the contract was set up fairly and accurately. The customer then expects that they are only double checking the good work already done and drives away.So in the end these discrepancies between your contract and reality is either idiocy or malfeasance. Neither bodes well for the business.

Completely frustrating and irritating experience. We made our reservation 1-2 weeks ahead of time for one way trailer for our son to move back to college. On the phone for our CONFIRMATION CALL we spoke to person saying we’d like to come in around 10:00-12:00 ish (we ended up being delayed trying to find our ball hitch). Upon arrival they informed us our reservation was cancelled because we were “late” not being there at 10:00 sharp. Nothing was communicated to us the ease at which we could loose our reservation which was booked with my credit card. That’s what a RESERVATION is-to RESERVE. We reviewed no call nor text conveying the loss of threat of loss of our reservation.With nothing else available my son had to leave most of his stuff behind and headed off to Montana. This was truly ridiculous. They did make concessions for us if we were willing to drive to Olympia to pick up same size trailer (from Kirkland) for a trip to Bozeman. Ridiculous.In addition, upon arrival we parked in driveway (in front of store) and were met by an employee giving us a lecture how “we can’t park there and how it was completely unsafe and you have to move your car”. As if we were absolute morons. Maybe a few signs would be helpful? We were there to pick up a trailer-which we never got and were lectured in addition to that. Never was quite clear what danger was. I would say this was a bad experience all around. Basic communication from UHaul could have prevented this. “By the way if you think you might run late- call us or we may/will cancel your reservation”. If this was written in fine print somewhere my bad- but when you are speaking in person on the confirmation call would be nice to have UHaul REITERATE THIS IMPORTANT BIT OF INFORMATION. Maybe less lecturing and more informative communication?In summary-save yourself a lot of time, money and the frustration and go somewhere else, IF you must use UHaul. Unfortunately however, it doesn’t matter which facility you “choose” they still send you wherever they happen to have the equipment. Not a great way to run a business.

Negative experience relying on U-Haul for the moving truck service! We had a reservation in Kirkland location starting 8am. However, no vehicle was provided upon arrival - instead, it was suggested to wait till 9am. The communicated reason from an in-person representative was that "someone just forgot to leave the car keys yesterday". Tried calling customer support phone line around 8.20am, which got forwarded a robot that suggested to wait for 40 minutes till someone answers the call. If it were only about waiting inconvenience, I wouldn't bother with writing the review, but the impact is much more disturbing: because we had a hard stop at 2pm, we were unable to complete the move over Sunday, leaving about 20-25% items behind. That means an overhead of several extra hours of continued move over the work week: finding people, renting another vehicle, booking loading dock in the building, etc. We understand that hiccups happen, but if the U-Haul team truly cares for the customers, an apology would be good and some form of make-up like refund or discount is expected
