Ferrell gas is a very expensive place to get propane. 3 years ago when we first signed up… they were the cheapest in town. We have a 120 gallon tank and the gas price used to fluctuate up and down. The last 2 years it has just gone up and up and up. We can fill little tanks at a local place for $2.99 a gallon. Their price to have it delivered in bulk is $4.80 a gallon. We went on vacation this last spring and the prices in a way higher cost of living city on the other side of our state were $1.99. So I called them and asked why our price at the time was $4.40. She said I can fill it for a one time rate of $3.60. So you know they can do it all the time for the $3.60 price they just are taking advantage of the people who need propane in our area. I also have to monitor my tank and call in for a refill when it’s at 35% or lower… we have a 2 week delivery window… that we have to wait for a delivery for. We found a new company that has a 5 star rating in our town. They monitor the tanks in the office and automatically come fill it up within 5 days of hitting the 35% mark. The price is also $3.40 (a whole dollar and fourty cents cheaper then Ferrell gas.) We are switching pretty much immediately!

Have been with Ferrellgas for several yrs now and have been very happy with their service. The employees in the office are very welcoming and helpful in addressing issues on accounts or taking payment when filling up my bbq tanks. Use propane at home for my fireplace only.

Service is generally very quick and easy. I am very disappointed in the price gouging that contributes to the inflation we are all feeling these days. I have two 100 gallon tanks and I am charged at least $1.00/gallon more than Pasco rental or Mac’s nursery. Prices should be less with higher volume purchases. Shame on you. I will run my tanks empty and cancel my service.

They have always been very nice and easy to work with. I've been using them for over a decade now. I really like the online app so I dont have to call in!

I'm so relieved! No more worrying about my little tanks running out. Love my big boy tank. My tech, Gonzalo was amazing also. He answered all my questions, and offered much needed advice. Highly recommend.

I was upset to learn that they did not want to refill my tank as I had not bought enough propane. It’s a small part of the user agreement that they may suspend service, but they also wanted to charge a tank rental fee while refusing to refill the tank. I was able to get that fee removed as I did need a refill so I wanted them to come get the tank. But they also charge for tank removal. So they want to charge you for having the tank and then charge you again for removing the tank they refuse to refill. Very shady business practices. I was tempted to give them 2 stars for removing the fee, but all told I had to spend a few hundred extra to have them come get a tank they wouldn’t refill.

They do fine getting the gas delivered but having to spend $1000 getting 240 gallons of gas delivered a year in order to avoid a $250+ tank rental is ridiculous.
PS - call Valley Wide Cooperative instead - $5 tank rental with no fill minimums!

I only have Ferrell Gas because the tank was at the house when we bought it. Had I known about all the hidden fees, poor customer service explanations, and shoddy pipe installation, I would never have used this company. The only positive I can say is that the service technicians do their job on time, which is why I gave the company two stars instead of one.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! Not happy with Ferrel Gas, in fact, I will be looking for a new gas company next season! First, I was forced to have someone come out and relight my pilot light as they had turned it off because the tank was empty. Then the technician appeared to not know what he was doing, or he "milked" the clock as he took way too long to light the pilot light and THEN he caused a gas leak!!! All of which cost me $$ with every service not to mention the cost of filling the tank!! Not happy at all!!!!

Our experience has been nothing but 5 stars over the years. We have found they are well priced by comparison. With that said, we are happy campers!

This a very untrustworthy company. I bought a house two years ago that had a 120 gallon tank on the side of the house. Only thing hooked up to it was a fireplace that uses 9 gallons of propane a year. Even though Ferrell Gas could see how much propane was being used at my new house over several years, they came and filled up the entire tank with propane. Then when I don't have any need to refill the tank because of only using 9 gallons a year, they increase my tank rental fee 300%. Then when I tell them I'm not going to pay that, they say they're going to come pick up the tank and "NOT" reimburse me for the propane in the tank that I've already paid for. Or that they would reimburse me for the propane but they would charge me $375 for coming and picking up the tank and pumping out the propane. If I didn't want to be reimbursed then they would pick up the tank for free. I only paid $200 to fill up the tank in the first place. So now they're getting their tank back with all the propane in the tank to pump out and sell to someone else even though I already paid for it. Selling the same propane twice. So I'm getting screwed out of the cost of the propane I paid for to fill up the tank when I bought the house two years ago. Not very honest whatsoever.Well to add to my review. Ferrell Gas told me they would make an appointment with me to come pick up the tank. Great! Never heard from them and then today they just show up unannounced to pick up the tank. Only my son was home. I got home from work to see a nice surprise of a damaged gate left from the people who picked up the tank. My gate will not even close properly anymore. Just keeps getting better with these guys

When I called to set up my account the customer service was thorough and kind on the phone and gave me all the details I needed. The delivery person was polite, efficient and friendly. Wouldn't have known he was there except I walked out to check a sprinkler as he was reeling out the hose. Excellent experience over all.

Ordered and prepaid for a residential propane delivery. Was told to expect about 10 days for delivery. After 3 weeks the propane had not been delivered so I called and was told that somehow my delivery had not been scheduled. I was told the delivery would be placed on the schedule for urgent delivery and I would receive a call with an estimated delivery date. After one day since calling Ferrellgas I have not received a call back. Not at all impressed with the service for this propane order.
