Kia Ora is great! The workout equipment is of great quality and the sauna is amazing. My only issue is with the basketball court, there's a giant stage in the side of it that impedes proper play. Fix that and it's 5 stars from me!

Liked the pool initially but it had to be cleaned and repaired in Sept. While it was down, a new ladder was installed. The older disabled people complained to the owner that it was unstable and difficult to ascend, especially with people with balance issues. One person was injured recently and the owners response was that people who have no upper body strength should not be in the pool. The whole reason older people go to do water exercises is to try and maintain or regain strength. Some are recovering from chemo or injury.

I didn’t end up getting a membership only because my stay in town was so short but the front desk person who showed me and my husband around was so kind and helpful. They have 3-visit, 6-visit, etc passes if you can’t make it to the gym often. Thank you for your hospitality to newcomers to town!

Staff Late on the regular basis.Other Members allowed to physically assault another member and still be allowed in gym?!"Rules" good for thee but not for me ...mentality...Just bad ownership

I do not recommend this gym at all. Their equipment and pool are nice, but their customer service is terrible. I have been trying for months now to get a hold of them over the phone since I'm now out of state to cancel my membership and have rarely been able to talk to someone. They then tell me a manager is the only person who can cancel, so I've requested a phone call when they are shift, and that has never happened. Now, when i call, it doesn't even go through. I think they stay open just from the memberships that they force people to be stuck into than people actually using their gym.

This is my favorite gym in town. I love their pool its heated and large. This gym has friendly employees and the people who go here are nice. It's too busy all that often and they offer a bunch of free classes with the membership!

Iv always enjoyed Kia Ora; the hours are great, and the early morning vibe is incredible; that is when there’s is no staff at the gym! Not knocking any of the staff members; most were all pretty pleasant to deal with. As for the Owners, Karl has always been friendly and made me feel welcome; he seems, for the most part, a hard worker! BUT!! Co-Owner Lisa is far from friendly!! She walks around the gym like she’s better than everyone! She introduces herself as (LISA, THE OWNER OF THE GYM). Most members I talk to at Kia Ora have had nothing but negative interactions with (LISA, THE OWNER OF THE GYM). The two times I spoke to her, she made me feel unwelcome! LISA, THE OWNER OF THE GYM, is a rude human! I've also always known that the Gym does need a lot of upgrades, such as old equipment, ripped treadmill belts, and broken elliptical; the majority of their equipment is at least 15-20+ years old. Therefore, with all that being said, I would rate this gym at one star! GYM NEEDS UPGRADE AND OWNER NEED TO WORK ON HER PEOPLE SKILL!

If I could give negative stars. I would.Let me start by saying, I LOVED this gym. The staff is amazing, but the OWNERS are extremely unprofessional. In my first weeks here, I was completely told off over the phone by the male owner, leaving myself in tears all because I was told I could take my son there, and guess someone misinformed me.Moving forward to a few weeks ago, the female owner, NEVER greets me or is even kind when I walk in, she always uncomfortably stares at me and my one night was actually WATCHING me and my every move and constantly coming into my area around me that I actually got so uncomfortable, that I left. Now, tonight, I went in, and brought my niece as a guest which I had done the day prior and paid for. I am a black card holder, because I’ve referred numerous people to this gym. And the female owner was at the front, with her uninviting stare the minute I walked in and I told her I wanted to pay for my nieces guest pass, she asked us if she had been in before and if she had signed a waiver which she hadn’t bc no previous employee has ever told us about that. I’ve brought two different guest before and never been told. Just paid and was allowed in. I explained that to her, just so she knew that her employees didn’t do this step. She apparently felt offended, and said and I QUOTE, “So I am the owner of this gym!, so let me introduce myself to YOU…. I BUILT this gym and worked very hard to do so and am and I’m telling you that you have to sign a waiver!” And I was so taken back, by her approach to this situation. When I never argued her waiver. She felt she could degrade and belittle me due to her being the owner. Being a business owner myself, I’m absolutely disgusted by both of these owners and how they speak to customers. Now, I cannot cancel my membership because I’m on a whole contract with these awful people till October. :)I REALLY loved this gym and raved about it to everyone, tagged it in all my posts and told all my clients about it….. and I was driven away by the owners themselves. So I hope they are incredibly proud of this environment they created, it’s no wonder it’s slow, they keep driving their own customers away. Hopefully they see this, because I won’t stop talking about how rude they are until they make it right.

I have recommended Kia Ora to all my family and friends, but I regret it! Being Polynesian and knowing the true meaning of KIA ORA “The owner” Lisa has no idea or right to represent MY people. Lisa is entitled and feels like her being “The owner” gives her the right to harass people who Pay for a Membership! Every time I go to the gym, and she is there I am so uncomfortable. I see her watching me and my friends like we are about to steal weights or a treadmill!!One night we were headed to the back room to work out and we noticed she was watching us walk to the back room, Lisa “The owner” got off the stage in the gym and followed us to the back room. Lisa "The owner" walked in the back room angerly and started yelling at my friend for having her gym bag with her (WE WERE NEVER TOLD WE COULDN’T HAVE OUR GYM BAGS WITH US) and continued to tell us ALL that she is “The owner” and those are HER rules! I really loved this gym and ignored the outdated equipment until I met Lisa “The owner”. She is unprofessional, very hateful, and full of herself. Therefore, the equipment is outdated, the cable machine is always falling off its track and will jam mid workout, no stair steppers, rowing machine doesn’t work, ripped seats on stretch machines, rusted weights, bugs in the locker room and sauna, so much dust on top of the lockers, bathroom floors are disgusting, and they have the Rudest woman as “The Owner”.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone. I had an issue and went in person to talk to the owner. He was there but would not see me. He sent information through a wonderful young man named Brighton. The information Brighton gave me from the owner was not helpful at all. I then called and left messages four times. None of my calls were returned. On the fifth call I was lucky because the owner answered the phone. Ultimately we worked the issue out. However I would not recommend this gym.

This gym is nice but I don't like the pool. You walk in and the chlorine hits your eyes quick and it's muggy in there... Honestly my eyes we're burning when I walked out. Now it would be amazing if the staff would open the windows to air it out a bit.

I love the convenience of this gym. The equipment isn't the newest or flashiest, but they have everything that you need for a great workout. What has made me a client for life, though, is that this is the only gym in the Tri-Cities that adhered to COVID-19 protocols and didn't rebrand as a medical facility to skirt the rules. A fitness/wellness business should actually care about the health and wellbeing of their patrons, and Kia Ora obviously does, as evidenced by their integrity and dedication to keeping everyone safe throughout the pandemic.

Incompetent staff either they are too involved asking everytime you come in if you checked in (there is a scanner at the door) and uncomfortably staring at you while working out, playing on their phones or legit just sitting on equipment or if you ask a question no one knows the answer everything is open ended and ownership is unresponsive. It's not the cleanest gym either the sauna, pool and locker room smell like mold and are visably dirty.Try it before buying in yo see for yourself but I wouldn't recommend can't wait for my membership to be over.

We signed our grandson up for swim lessons. Nice facility, lots of different machines to work out on as well.
