Last week I went on a little adventure, one I didn’t sign up for. All I wanted to do was cash a check. Sounds simple right? Well apparently not.
First stop: denied. Second stop: also denied. Third stop? The actual bank that issued the check. Surely, they would cash it. Nope. At this point I was starting to wonder if my check was printed in invisible ink or if I had unknowingly been put on some kind of financial blacklist.
Furious and frustrated, I made my way to Moneytree in Kennewick, and that’s where everything changed.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted by Gladys who was not only friendly but also seemed genuinely happy to help, something I had yet to experience that day. I told her about the check I needed cashed, half expecting another rejection, but she just smiled and got to work. No drama, no nonsense, no ridiculous policies standing in the way of basic service.
Within minutes, I had my cash in hand. Just like that. No hassle, no runaround. The whole team at Moneytree is always great but Gladys really stood out with her upbeat attitude and efficiency.
So if you ever find yourself getting the runaround at banks that seem allergic to doing their jobs, skip the headache and just go straight to Moneytree. They’ll take care of you.
10/10 would recommend. Wish they had more locations. Ignore the sketchy motel next door—unless you’re also in the market for questionable life decisions

I use the check cashing service regularly, as it costs less than cashing checks at the bank they're drawn on. the cashiers( or are they 'financial service representatives'?) are consistently courteous and helpful, and I've noticed that they always seem to have a bilingual cashier available for Spanish speaking customers. I visited on 3/25/2025, and Jorge helped me, but I wish I caught the name of the woman who was working with him when I came in (at about 6:30 pm) so I could mention her as well. Both have helped me more than once in the past and they're both awesome, though it's safe to say that you'll be treated respectfully and courteously by anyone working if you visit this location. I always am.

On 3/21/25 I visited this money tree and received exceptional customer service from Aide. My favorite part of the visit was when she took me into the back room to cash my check I felt like a very important person I felt like a diva 😂 I put like a superstar. It doesn't matter what size check you cash it's the customer service and makes you feel incredible.
