They let alot of their great staff go and to be honest it has just gone downhill in the last 2 years. Sad to say after banking with them for over 10 years i had to move to a new bank. Not being open on Saturdays is killer on business. Also please ask your staff to be a little more friendly upon arrival

Worked with Tony to get pre-approved for home loan for about 2.5 weeks only to find out via email all the time and effort spent providing all documentation, the waiting, following up, asking questions only to get an email saying our application was denied. I will say he was kind overall but It does not take away the disappointment and lack of communication. Definitely following my gut next time.

I used this bank because it is right next door to my job. I felt super overwhelmed when I walked in with a huge check that I was never expecting to receive. I walked in and told them what I wanted, no questions asked they met my expectations. They were not pushy nor did they try to make me open accounts that were unnecessary. When i did not understand something they explained it to me so that it made sense. It was a very calm cool and collected transcripts and I am very please.

1st time in a legacy bank that my grandfather and grandmother started my 1st savings account over 50 years ago. I started my son a savings account 20 years ago. Sad to say It was a different branch and different era at the time. My son moved to this area a few weeks back and went in for information about his account. He left saying treated very rude by the teller that helped him. By the way as of today I followed my son in and sorry to say I was not greeted just asked if I needed help. I just was there to support I then witnessed my son treated in similar manner. And we both left as if our money did not belong there. As I finance my banking somewhere else. I had to tell my son he should take his money elsewhere or bank at some other branch.

Very very poor attitudes from the gals that work here they need to be fired. I just moved to kennewick and love yakima federal. But from now on I will be going to a different branch. My father even recognized this attitude problem. Mrs Ramos was a very Poor teller. Wasnt happy at all. This is my second time at this branch and recived a bad attitude from the last teller as well. Dont like the way i was treated wont be going back!

Wish I could give 0 stars but won't give me the option. I was going to let it go but the girls that work at this location are very rude they don't smile and very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with . I have an account here and I brought a check in too cash and they would not deposit it cash the check because it was made out to my girlfriend and myself also had my name on it so after being criticized a third time in this bank I'm having to now go to the richland branch for my services because I love the bank but the customer service with these lady's is the worse I've ever seen and don't recommend bringing kids in there for them to see there parents being downsized at there own bank . And after All of this we went to my girlfriends bank and they cashed it for her no problem they were very sincere it makes me want to switch to Wells Fargo.

Having Yakima Federal Saving as my bank for over 25 years has been a pleasure until recent changes in policies. I can no longer transfer money from my savings to the farm via online. This makes the bank useless for me so I'm moving my 6 accounts to a different bank. I will miss the people I have deal with these many years that have provide outstanding help. It would be nice if the banks board and management would listen to their employees and their members.

We've lived in the Tri-Cities for over 30 years and decided to build our dream home. Our savings & loan of 30 years didn't offer much in the line of construction loans and even suggested we contact Yakima Federal. Wow! What a great group of people and terrific service. They helped us sail through the process and answered every question we could think of and many we didn't. Communication was fantastic...meetings, telephone calls, and e-mail...whatever was needed and always quick. They even pushed the loan through in record time in spite of being in the middle of a software change over. 30-days start to finish. During construction, our builder was impressed by the rapid turnaround on progress inspections and funding draws. Our construction loan will roll directly into a fixed mortgage. No new mortgage or additional fees, no change in interest rate, no additional paperwork! The loan was not only competitive but won't be sold. The money will be kept in the community and we can deal with real people should there ever be an issue. Simple, very competitive and a great experience. Our thanks to Andrew and Vicki for their help in building our dream home!

I've been banking with Yakima Federal Savings and Loan most of my life. I had a small break for Yakima Federal during my time out of state, but quickly returned to them when I moved back. I like the friendliness of the employees, the stress-free checking, etc. Today, I had a different opinion of the bank. A dark-haired woman with a bright pink shirt on helped me. She didn't once smile. She didn't say "thank you". She didn't say anything but "okay" and "here you are". She had a scowl on her face the whole time. At least say "thank you" when I do. My children were even a little put off by her attitude. I will continue to bank with Yakima Federal, but will not bother going in the line with the rude woman. I hope that others speak up about her attiude. She didn't have a name tag on, but she had shoulder length hair and tan skin.
