"Best" is a relative term and it doesn't apply to this location. I will say the doctor was good, but everything else was suboptimal. From two different employees telling me two different versions of weather or not I had a copay, to the same front area people having a "ain't my job" mentality and not working as a team, to quite literally the worst front desk/receptionist, clearly hating her job which she channels to customers with rudeness. This is what you get with any discounted product.

I've been a customer at America's best since I was in high school and now I'm 38. I was going to elaborate-in regards to the immaculate care I've received, the professional and helpful staff and overall amazing experience I've had with this business. On second thought, however, I think my above statement regarding being a customer for 20 years should speak for itself.This is not what my review today is about though.I have three small children and my new glasses were unfortunately destroyed. When I went to reach for my contacts, I was out. I absolutely cannot fully function without one or the other. Since I couldn't get a same day appointment with Kent, they were able to get me in at Federal Way that afternoon. I explained to them what the situation was and my high level of distress not being able to see. They reassured me that I am covered under warranty and that my prescriptions are well within valid etc and will for sure be able help.The doctor was rude, short, unprofessional and I honestly feel like he's trying to run some sort of scam. I had both glasses and contact prescription in which both still had well over a year before expiration. This doctor would not help me until I scheduled a new patient exam for the very next day. ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS ORDER REPLACEMENT CONTACTS AND GLASSES. My glasses are covered under insurance but he refused to reorder them. Only 3 times ever has a situation come up where I was left without being able to see. America's best has ALWAYS sent me away with something at least to hold me over, irregardless of the circumstances they have always been LITERALLY America's Best. UNTIL THIS DAY IN FEDERAL WAY LOCATION!! I was treated so poorly that I almost took my business somewhere else it was THAT bad of an experience.Just want all hope seemed lost I decided to call my regular location which is Kent and basically had a meltdown about the entire situation. I was put in touch with the manager, a fantastic and amazing person named Alisha. She ABSOLUTELY CHANGED my entire circumstance around. I don't just mean by fixing the problem; she went far above and beyond the call of duty by listening without judgment, actually taking the time to figure out the best way for an immediate solution and did it with such sincerity and genuine good nature. I'm not sure if she preemptively let the staff know to be extra nice to me or not that day but it felt like they were. I went from being defeated and enraged etc to a customer for life, once again.I don't mean to put Federal Way on blast like that but I have been there a total of 3 to 5 times. Each experience more increasingly disastrous than the last.The Kent location of America's best runs like a Swiss watch. They provide world-class service and are efficient, professional, knowledgeable, helpful I really just can't say enough good things. I hope Alisha gets a HUGE bonus or raise this holiday season because I actually saw on previous reviews how she was mentioned as well so thank you again to her and ALL the staff.This one was a little lengthy so thanks for reading!!

These ladies are very helpful and made my experience very fun. I came for what I wanted and they fulfilled my order. Huge shout out to the receptionist Diamond. She even was kind and adjusted my daughters glasses while we waited. Check in was smooth and easy. Also Robin who did my pre testing, educated me very well on the extra testing and why it was important. She had me laughing in there. After that I seen Dr. Kung & she is an amazing doctor. I love my new contact lens prescription & couldn’t be any happier. Lastly thank you to the assistant manager Alisha for helping me check out and picking the right frames. Americas best is really the best. Kent staff you are amazing ! I’ll be back to order again soon.

Horrible customer service. They are being inconsiderate. Lack of communication. Left me suffering in pain.They simply does not care if you are suffering.

Great clean store and great staff! The staff was very welcoming. Diamond at the front desk was really helpful. Robin and Alisha were very helpful with assisting me and the doctor was very sweet. I loved the glasses selection and the way I was able to customize my glasses. Great service thank you ladies!

I will update and write an extensive review of each visit soon! I've been meaning to review this location for quite some time. Granted, when they were soft opening they had me concerned when I called. The staff member might have been new and questionable at that time. I decided to give this place another shot since the Tukwila location had high turn over in staff and my last visit there they had a new software in place (nationwide) those who were learning to adjust to. It's understandable. We all been there. They did do an a excellent job when I had an eye allergy for the first time in my life. Long story short, I was given a trial lens for two lens only finalized 1. I seen 3 different doctors. My other prescription couldn't be finalized due to my other trials not being written down correctly and that the last doc wasn't able to change it in the system since the previous doctor seen me/ didn't know how to change it. So...I decided to give Kent another call and they did indeed have gotten it together. Every single time after that head scratching interaction, it has been 1000% hands down great. One time I didn't get an automated call but they made sure that didn't happen again and personally followed up with another call to ensure I got the automated call. Pro tip: Don't let the virtual appointment deter you, it does take more time but truly informative. I was nervous to go into "a virtual appointment". There was so many questions like about how could they see my eyes if they were not physically there! I had nothing to worry about. The doctor is seasoned, professional, had a tidy office and! thoroughly revisited my chart almost 15 years back. He educated, explained and showed me a photo of what was going on inside my eyes. I was impressed and valued that he took the time with much care to do this! I've been back a total of 3-4 times since. Robin is super personable and made me feel comfortable during this visit. The main doctor there is wonderful as well. She was able to answer all my lingering questions with contacts and glasses. Fun fact she is bilingual and found out when she was chatting with a family while I waiting for my appointment. I found my best fitting/brand of contacts. Because of her help, I see in HD now. :)

Nice people but it was so quiet in there it made me uncomfortable. Please consider playing pandora or some type of music during business hours. It would definitely help with those who have anxiety.

Companies shouldn't be able to call themselves "best", this one definitely isn't it. The worst. Schedule almost 2 weeks in advance... got an email and text daily to remind of appointment.. literally got a text morning of.. only to be called 50 minutes before appt to tell me that they are overbooked and since I have an occasionally higher pressure.. I need a special appointment. What!! You didn't know that a week ago? Yesterday? Like I'm dressed to go. So ridiculous I can't even. Still waiting for manager to call back.. but doubt that's happening

I decided to try America's Best for my first eye exam in like over 4 years last week. The staff are really professional and very friendly. Jordan helped me with purchasing and customizing my glasses to my needs and wantsa. Jordan was amazing for it being his first day!

My wife and I walked in today to set up an eye appointment for her and possibly some new frames for me since I already have a prescription. Waited for the two employees to help a customer that was there already. Then waited for one of them to help with a display delivery, and the other to call customers on the phone. Then listened to them talk to each other wondering if we had an appointment. We decided to leave since it appeared that neither of them seemed interested in helping us. A bit confusing.
