I have a Colr Defender.that is known for being a bit fussy. I needed a new ejector for the ;3rd time since it is tricky to install, and no one could do this properly . Nick fixed that plus upgraded a couple parts. For the first time in nearly 20 years, it’s as good as new. If you have a 1911, ask for Nick.

This is the person that the person feels that his private deal was under cut by. C.A.R. firearms is great to work with and will continue to be my go to. The owners and staff are wonderful people. James had never confirmed with me that he was going to complete the transaction and as a buyer, I am free to deal with whoever I want whenever and however. This is an extremely reputable business that deserves better than the review left.

I had a private sale lined up where C.A.R Firearms was going to facilitate the transfer and they ended up undercutting my deal and selling their own inventory to the buyer. I’ve never done business with them and now will never do business with them.

Was able to get my Glock 19 Gen5 MOS screw removed that was sheared off from slide that holds the baseplate via walk in for less than 30min for $50. A common issue I was told and also reading from various Internet forums. I am a happy customer to get the fix done so quick and a new set of screws.

I came in to CAR arms to see if a could salvage a 9mm that was damaged by my ex. The amount of compassion and concern they showed for me and my situation was beyond exceptional. After being failed so many times by the people that should be protecting myself and my children I was shown by CAR arms that amazing humans still exist.
This is a top notch business and I will recommend them to anyone. They are walking angels.

Took a .22 rifle and a 38 revolver in to get some work done. Was told they are busy and it would be up to 8 weeks. At week 16 I went in to check the status, was told they had been busy but was assured they would get to them that week. At week 25 I went in and nothing had been done to either firearm, they again said they had been busy. Think I may have been a little more tolerant if the “busy” had been communicated to me from time to time to let me know. Funny thing a woman was in dropping off a pistol to have work done, she was told it would be about a week. I took my firearms back and will go elsewhere.
Lack of communication and excuses don’t go well with me.

This shop provided incredibly fast and professional service by cleaning and servicing my rusted P365 to like-new condition in just two days. Their work was exceptional and offered great value - I highly recommend them.

Very disappointed with this place.
I left my pistol to be taken a look and see why is not cycling properly, i signed a quote for $180, i was told it might not be this much afterwards if its something small like a proper cleaning or something like that.
I come to pick up my gun a week later, and they give me an invoice for $505.
I said, i didn't expect to cost this much..and in reply i got: you asked us to fix your gun.
Why did i sign the paper for?
I mean, common..what kind of business is this.
If you said you can fix it for $180 and i say go ahead and do it and then you charge me $500 afterwards..screw this..i can fix it myself. It's no brainer..you have to call the client and confirm the triple price change. I thought this will be my place to go at first impression but now i won't even suggest to go there if anybody ever ask me.

Excellent customer service, great service. I had my Staccato P and Springfield Prodigy serviced by C.A.R firearms. Both came back better when I sent it. No scratches, no scuff, no damages. If you have high end collections, then look no further.

In the early part of 2022 I was trying to take my CZ pistol to a FFL to have it shipped to CGW- 'Cajun Gun Works' in Louisiana to have them install a pro package which involves installing a new trigger and firing pin and all related springs and other internals as well as a 1911 style bushing that needs to be milled into the slide. Upon calling C.A.R. firearms to have them ship my pistol to CGW the owners wife put one of the gunsmiths, her husband on the phone and he asked why I was sending my gun elsewhere for the work. After I explained the situation the owner proceeded to tell me that he fixes a lot of jobs done by CGW and that CGW is so busy now they are just hiring guys and dropping parts in guns and C.A.R. can do the work if I will take the chance to give it to them as they do this work "ALL THE TIME". I decided to let C.A.R. do the job and they took my gun and off I went. Nearly 5 months went by with zero communication or updates from C.A.R. despite repeated calls and emails from me. Finally I received a message from them telling me to come and pick up my gun. I went to C.A.R. to pick up my pistol and upon getting my gun and proceeding to pay I was told that they didn't install the barrel bushing as they put my gun on the mill and told me my pistol is 1degree or more out of spec and they were not able to install the bushing . After going home with my gun I called CZ directly and told them what C.A.R. told me about the gun being out of spec and the representative let me know that my gun was still under warranty and I could send it in to see what was going on. Here is where this gets me very angry! I called C.A.R. to have them send my gun to CZ as up to this point I had no reason to doubt their integrity. I go home and wait some more to see what develops and decided to call C.A.R. to check on if my gun came back and was told that they had called CZ and couldn't get a straight answer from them or anyone there about my gun. And was also told that they had been talking to both Cajun and CZ about how the gun was out of spec and between the conversations with them both I was told they -C.A.R. could actually fix the gun themselves!!!!! I don't know if the gun was ever sent to CZ or not and was in a bit of shock when C.A.R. told me that upon talking with CGW they realized my gun was perfectly fine and they can make it right don't worry. Again I waited and now was calling C.A.R. quite a bit to check on progress after all the confusion. One of the conversations I had involved C.A.R telling me that they were "practicing on an old slide in the back" to get ready to mill my guns slide as they didn't want to ruin my gun which in fact is now a discontinued and very sought after gun. So a mistake on my gun would be catastrophic blunder. I was then told that they hadn't done this before and they wanted to get it right! I could not believe my ears and to say that I felt stupid for trusting these guys with my favorite gun 2 times is an understatement. After talking to them about progress with them not making any I went and picked my gun up. As an aside I finally sent my gun to CGW on my own after finding out I can print my own shipping label and had them install the barrel bushing and instructed them to take my gun apart as I was very concerned with the work that C.A.R had done and I wanted to make sure that everything was ok. I received timely communication from CGW and status updates via email . I requested a copy of the report from the Cajun Gun Works gunsmith Here is what was in the report from the gunsmith at Cajun- "I returned the firearms timing and removed the excess Loctite that coated the trigger. I had to replace the trigger screws due to the bent heads and over saturation of Loctite on the included screws. The de cocker spring was also bent out of spec, so I replaced that as well". I had to edit a lot of this review but suffice to say I spent far more money using C.A.R and their work was a complete hatchet job. Thank goodness for Cajun Gun Works

C.A.R. is an outstanding shop that produces high-quality work. And while their technical abilities are great, their customer service is incredible. They recently helped with a barrel on one of my favorite hunting rifles. The final product looked amazing (Tikka couldn't have accomplished a better fit and finish). The rifle still shoots sub-MOA groups with match grade and hand loaded ammo (more than I asked for or expected from this modification). It was difficult to find a trustworthy gunsmith in the area. Now, I'm only going to C.A.R.I've already recommended their services to several other serious hunters and competition shooters from JBLM.
