Gamestop used to be one of those places I could shop for cheap used games and chat with enthusiastic staff about video games. Due to a lot of changes, the prices have gone up and the staff are forced to upsell to an annoying degree. They are so pressured to sell membership, warranty, cards, and other promotions that the staff becomes almost argumentative when all you want is to get a game and go. It makes purchasing from digital marketplaces so much more appealing, which is sad.

Customer services is terrible, I line up 2 hours and a half with a friend to buy some pokemon packs where there is a 2 per person limit. Employee tried to deny me from buying some, supposedly it's 2 per house hold... Let's just say we kept explaining to him and eventually he grudgingly allowed me to make the purchase.

I recently contacted this GameStop over the phone to inquire about selling my iPhone 16 Pro with TikTok installed. Unfortunately, the employee I spoke with was quite rude and confrontational. He told me that the price would be the same as other phones because TikTok is not banned, despite my explanation that it isn’t banned anymore.
When I mentioned that TikTok isn't available for download from the App Store, he accused me of lying, claiming he had deleted the app and downloaded it again. I ultimately decided to sell my iPhone on eBay instead, where it could fetch a better price. In a rather disrespectful manner, he suggested that he could sell his spit on eBay, which left me astonished. I would not recommend this GameStop location based on this experience with their customer service. How he still has a job there is beyond me.
GameStop do better!!!

You would get better customer service from a cardboard cutout of a person and an answering machine. Hire someone else.

Unaware that there's only one person running the store, unfortunately for me, was on lunch and had shut the store down till 420. It was an inconvenience for me because of the lack of game stores near me. Maybe I should of called the store instead of relying on the internet stating that they're open till 7pm

Don't appreciate employees questioning my wife if she's the one who purchased a game online. Came to store for pickup then told her that the name on file wasn't her then proceeded to call her on his personal phone to verify the customer on file. How about check an ID dude? 0-5 star if possible.

I bought a PS5 that was supposed to come with a Spider-Man game. When I purchased the console, I noticed that they gave m the display "shell" box that was on the counter. The box that the PS5 five was inside was put back into the outside box and given to me. I was a bit concerned, however the box appeared to be sealed and I was with okay with making the purchase. When I got home the Spider-Man game was not in the box. I went back to the store to explain and was told that the only thing I could do was contact Sony. It was incredibly disappointing. I felt that there was something off about purchasing the PS5 that had been taken out of the display box. I will no longer support GameStop after this experience.
