I don't know if the staff are still there from when I was last there, but it was always a treat to go in and visit them, check out a catalog or buy anything they had on hand. I definitely will still come look here for truck/off-road parts before hitting any major retailers.

I found this gem in our office, we are another auto accessory dealer also on the list. Nelson Truck Equipment still makes the top oldest dealer list! - Nick Monroe, Owner, Monroe Custom Campers, Inc. DBA Monroe Truck and Auto Accessories.

The staff that helped us knew what he was talking about even if he didn't know the names of items. We were looking for some sewn eye loop and asked for one and he said he didn't know what that was. So we explained what they look like and their function and he showed us what they had. Pretty good information too. He talked about the mechanic shop a lot and it seemed like a good place to take your truck if you needed work done.

Jim the parts manager is rude and has zero experience. He is not willing to help resolve issues and when speaking with him on the phone it feels like he just simply doesn't want to do his job. I will definitely be looking for a different place to order my parts for my company from now on.

Horrible experience. I ordered a truck tuner, they took the money and then 3-4 days before telling me I need to pay an additional $130+ tax. Now everyone else is sold out of this tuner and the few remaining vendors now want additional money as well. They dont honor the price of an item you already paid.

Don't use them if you're looking to get a Rack-It contractors rack. The sales woman B was uneducated on actual truck dimensions in relation to the product they sell. Instilled no confidence from the get go that she had ever sold a Rack-It rack before even though they're a authorized dealer, and one of a very few in the area. Called other Nelson Truck location to get better service, and my inquiry for quote was never returned. Failed to offer me the full range of options available on purchase. Asked both Rack-It and Nelson Truck for photos or samples of the various finish options I was interested in, both couldn't provide any. Customer service rep at Rack-It makes it clear through her tone that it was a burden to answer my questions and that they really weren't worth her time the several times that I spoke with her. Had to do my own research to find out all available options, call back and pay more. No word on my $1700 purchase for 8 weeks. No return to my emailed status inquiry at 8 weeks. Called the following week and told that I was "scheduled" for an installation at that exact day and time. Asked how I was scheduled for an appointment when I hadn't received any communication even saying that my purchase was ready nor had they any confirmation. No explanation available. Said she got my number wrong even though we had corresponded via phone several times. Said the reason she hadn't responded to my email inquiry was because they were having problems with they're email system. Indicated that when I come in next I will have to settle up for an upgraded paint option I had already paid for. Told her that I was pretty sure that that charge had already processed on my credit card. She then said I will have to provide proof that they charged me. So before I got there they had lied about scheduling, ignored my email which could have cleared everything up, and indicated they would double charge me. So because they screwed up on scheduling, I was then forced to wait another ten days for install. I ended up being penalized for their mistakes. Upon install they put several minor scratches in my rig, a new small chip, and silicone hand prints in several places. Clearly didn't used any blankets or protection to protect a nearly flawless well cared for truck. It's lucky for them that there are so many second gen Tacoma's on the roads and so few options for properly installed contractors racks on them. If there were competitors both Rack-It and Nelson Truck would be out of business by tomorrow morning. It's unfortunate to see such a great product and American ingenuity so tarnished by their own customer service rep and a dysfunctional sales and distribution system.
