“We started coming to Columbia View late last summer when we had moved to NE Washington. Finding orchards is easy up here. Finding GOOD orchards with friendly people, amazing produce and excellent prices is a blessing. The folks here always have a smile and are willing to help - whether you want to pick yourself or just grab a flat of tasty fruit. Selection can be hit-and-miss depending on the season and growing conditions. But, what they do have is always top quality. We grabbed a couple bags of freshly-picked cherries; one bag of Chelan (dark) and one bag of Rainier. Brought them home, de-pitted them and canned - all the while trying hard not to "sample." There was enough leftover from the excess of canning to allow one bowl of goodness each. Incredibly sweet with a nice, firm texture. So, while we have a greenhouse and (small) orchard of our own, we'll be coming back, often, to Columbia View as the season continues.”
