Came into this store yesterday and was immediately "greeted" by the angriest employee I think I've ever come across. A much older lady with long gray hair and about the nastiest disposition I've ever seen. She CLEARLY didn't like the look of us and decided to go out of her way to make it VERY, VERY obvious we were not welcome there. This was way beyond the typical "judgmental thinking" we tend to get- this was hate. We chose to ignore her nastyness and proceeded to walk about the store looking for the particular items we came for ... only to then walk up on this women now speaking with another employee and a man I think was also a customer -loudly proclaiming how "she can not abide by the (insert racist words here) destroying HER country. This and that about God and some church or temple being built". The other customer told her to"be patient, the end is coming ect. ect.".. I dunno. This is when I was lucky enough to bombed with "How the 'blacks' (again, insert the same racist words here) and liberal trash (use your imagination on the vile words used for this comparison) are going to destroy everything.... How she is struggling to have to continue to wait for whatever savior she thinks will come wipe "them" off the map and from HER America... And so on." Not in those exact words but you get the point. My question is what does that mean exactly? Was that a threat? It's hard not to take it as a threat of some sort, no matter how you spin it. And In a public store no less!! She then took her cart, stormed off and began to walk around putting things away while cussing and mumbling under her breath about how she hated everyone she worked with, how lazy they were, how put out she was that she had to do work, ect. Mind you, this is a general summary of this very nasty conversation I was FORCED in a public business to hear and was clearly aimed at us- they knew I could hear them. EVERYONE around could hear them/her. No one, not even the other employee in the conversation or the one at the register (though I can't blame her) spoke up against it. What a sad thing indeed. We have as much have of a right to shop, spend our hard earned cash and exist in this beautiful little town without being targeted by a hateful, racist employees/"people" as everyone else does. And even though we later found out it's the same owner, we took our business to the Colville True Value instead. This is where a gentlemen - Eric - assisted us with what turned out to be a large $$ purchase. He took the time to show us everything we were going to need, how to put it all together and answered all of our questions. He even helped us carry it out to our car. He couldn't have been a better employee. In fact the whole vibe at that store was night and day! Going forward- and only because of Eric- we will drive the few extra miles to to the Colville location but ONLY when we have no choice. I think trying to keep our money in our community when this is what we get in return... Well, it's not worth it. We will just order online so our none racist UPS/FedEx drivers can bring our items. They are happy for the employment and always, always friendly. Shame on that woman and SHAME on the higher up's that allow her to work with public.

We went into the store tonight at 4:55pm. Did not know the store hours changed to 5pm on Sundays. The clerk in there was so rude. She does not like her job and should not be in a customer service position. A gentleman walked in as I was paying. She turned to him and said, we close in 4 minutes. It was not the fact that she said he has 4 minutes, it’s the way she said it to the gentleman. I spoke to the gentleman outside and he said the 2 times he’s been in this store since he moved here, it’s been her and she was rude both times. We discussed letting the owners know. It was unacceptable behavior. This is our go to store. And it won’t be if she treats us like this again.

Very good selection and prices for such a rural, rwmote location. You might pay a bit more than in a bigger city, but you'd be supporting the local franchise owner and the cost of fuel to travel further. Make sure to sign up for their loyalty program to get discounts and promotions. This is also a Mil/LEO friendly establishment - they offer a discount to first responders and service people.

I have to leave a review after having the best interaction in a long time with one of the staff members here. I had a frost free pipe head break and had visited and/or called every hardware store between Kettle falls and Colville. When I called KF True Value I spoke with a gentleman named Zach who was as friendly, helpful and informative as you could hope to find in a person. When he didn't find what I was looking for in the store, he checked the warehouse, and not finding it there explained when they receive their shipments and how long it would be until they had the product in. The service he provided was beyond what you find in most employees anymore, and I appreciated him. His kindness and helpfulness left me smiling when though I was still without the product I need. I hope to have more encounters with people like Zach!

This sucks... the boss gary let go the best worker he had. I will never shop there again. And I will let everyone no in this town. They should be fined a lot. They have people working there drinking on the job. Putting people on the fork lift that is not surtafide. They smoke pot on the job there.

Friendly and helpful staff. They stay open later then any other hardware store in the area. Great selection of products and they have an indoor lumber yard. With that, expect to pay more for most items.

You can get almost all you need here, but at premium prices. At least the revolving door of staff seems to have slowed down.
