Sad this place it is closing. Even sadder that whoever is running the closure likes to run after and wrongly accuse people of theft.Couldn't even be in the store for a minute before the guy is stalking us. Creep! Get better managers!

GOODBYE Kingsgate Bartell! You all have been part of the Kingsgate family for more than 30 years! Truly, the amazing pharmacy staff is like family and the store's closing feels like a great loss. The pharmacists Michael, Ray and Don, and pharmacy techs treat everyone with respect and try their best to accommodate each customer's needs with great care. The clerks at the front of the store are friendly and helpful and I enjoy my conversations with each of them when I visit. I am sad to hear that not everyone will be transferred to a convenient store. I hope that they will be supported by the company in their search for new employment. I thank you all for your kind service to our community and wish you all well. Best always, Sandy Laurence

Store will be closing for good soon. It was listed on the most recent bankruptcy closure list.

Unfortunately, this place really went downhill after Rite Aid bought them out. We really miss Ray. There is one great pharmacist there, but others are so rude. They often do not answer the phone or return calls. I do feel bad for many of them because they are hugely understaffed. I've been calling since 5:30 pm and it's now almost 7:30 pm and nobody is answering. We are leaving town and have an important question but I have a feeling we won't hear back anytime soon. After many years, I think we will take our business elsewhere.

I look online for a certain brand of sunscreen. Bartels will let me order it for pickup or delivery from this location. I decide to just drive down and look for it before my hike. I find sunscreen in two different aisles and on like 3 different shelves, totally disorganized. I ask the one visible employee for help and she gestures where I was looking and says “if we have it it will be over there”. I ask if her or the manager can look in inventory to see if it’s stocked since the website suggests so. The manager says no, they have no way to search their inventory on a computer to let me know if they even carry the product. It’s 2023 and they don’t have searchable computerized inventory??? Part of me thinks it’s more likely I’m being lied to. I find a single row of the brand on an end cap, but it’s not the strength I wanted. The manager again is zero help. I buy the one they have, and then I order the one I want from the same location on Amazon for delivery. I get home and the one I wanted is waiting for me on my stoop. No wonder retail is failing!

FINAL THOUGHTSAVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE ANY SELF-RESPECT5/16/2023Now the tech staff simply hangs up on callers. This morning, trying to get my prescription (that was promised 5/15/2023) filled, prior to leaving town, I called. After identifying myself, the tech hung up on me TWICE. On the third call, the pharmacist answered, and agreed to fill my prescription.I went to the location complained to the manager who was most uninterested in my complaint. It is amazing, still to me, that this location's management, by their actions, turn the goodwill of a long time customer into a one of disgust.Thankfully I got my prescriptions transferred out of that location.5/15/2023Of course, after heaping praise a few months back, on this pharmacy for the good actions of one of the professional staff, today I had an unpleasant enough of an experience to materially downgrade, my previous FIVE star rating. This is based upon presumptuous and condescending remarks made by a pharmacy staff member about my refill. Here are the facts:1. About three weeks ago, based on the store portal that a prescription [thyroid medication] was available for refill, I clicked yes.2. Two day later, I received a text stating it could not be until May 15, 2023.3. On May 15th, I went in to pick up the prescription.4. The pharmacy staff person said "It can't be filled until the next day May 16, 2023.5. I explained that the text from this Bartell's pharmacy said the 15th.6. This staff person stated: "Besides you should have 17 tablets left".Now whether I have any tablets left is NONE of this pharmacy staff person's business.I obviously am not trying to scam thyroid medication???I found her remark intrusive, and quite condescending. The fact is that this pharmacy sent me a text saying it could be filled on May 15, 2023. I take time to go pick it up. It was not ready as stated to be.Then to have to endure a complete stranger telling me how many tablets I should have left was amazingly intrusive. As it happens I am going out of town today for a month, had counted on having my prescription filled as promised. Now I won't have my medication unless I transfer the prescription to a national pharmacy. And even if I was not going out of town, does this clerk think people have all the time in the world to go back and forth to pick up prescriptions that were PROMISED on a certain date.I am getting my prescriptions out of this rude and barely professional pharmacy.Too bad, because the one excellent pharmacist is now tainted by the rudeness of another.

Pharmacy is understaffed. Always 10 people in line - takes DAYS to get critical meds . Wait longer here than at the urgent care.Edit: prescription called in Saturday. "It's not ready yet, it'll be at least an hour wait"

I recently moved to this pharmacy because it is closer to my home. That has not turned out to be a wise decision. There is always long wait times because it is always understaffed. The staff present is overwhelmed, rightly so. The orders are never ready on time, some stuff is out of stock. Even OTC is not well stocked. If you call yourself a pharmacy have enough staff to run it. This is gross mismanagement. I will be moving to a different pharmacy altogether.

The worst pharmacy experience (11/25/2022 4:20PM) and the most mean nurse during my 16 years' stay in US till now. Zero star if I could give one.We made an appointment for the first booster dose of covid vaccine for my mom-in-law (67 years old) one week ago. When we arrived, the nurse firstly ask in a very wired mood why we only got two doses at this point. I explain that my mother-in-law came to visit us from China. In China, she had three doses of covid vaccine which are CHO Cell type and not billed to our insurance in US. She started getting vaccinated upon her arrival to the US. That's why she only got two doses in US at this point. With this information, the nurse then refused to give us the vaccine for the following reason:My mom-in-law took three (CHO) dose in China, two (mRNA) in US. So it would be her sixth dose. They cannot bill the sixth dose. The reason the nurse gave is ridiculous: the first three doses were taken in China, in a completely different type of covid vaccine, and most importantly, they were NOT billed to US or any insurance in the US. Why our first mRNA booster dose can be considered as the sixth dose? The way how the nurse communicates and the reason she gave to us gave me the impression how unprofessional she is, lacking of minimum expertise as a nurse a pharmacy needs, patience, and minimum empathy

I'm not sure what's up with the pharmacy. They don't answer their phones, and they take hours to fill prescriptions. Safeway has a pharmacy next door that is much better.

I've shopped the Kingsgate Bartells for 42 years. They haven't changed too much since the Rite-Aid buyout. However, I asked the new checkout clerk how long she has been there. A few months. And she said most of the staff is new.

Done with Bartells..!! Poorly run Pharmacy. Never enough staff. Often don’t have medicine in stock to fill prescription. Took 7 hrs for them to fill my prescription today. They actually close early now because they get overwhelmed. Not the employees fault. CEO should be canned..!!
