“This is the premier butcher in the area. Hands down. Fast, affordable and friendly.
On par with grocery store prices or cheaper and the meat is 2-3x the quality.
Perhaps a little intimidating if you've never been to a real butcher, but they're super friendly. Check them out.”

“Big John’s is a Seattle institution, with the best specialty cheese selection I know of, hard-to-find Italian meats, and an unbeatable bulk spice selection. (as well as one for flours/grains & chocolate) They’re the ultimate destination for affordable import wines as well, and a massive quantity of pantry items.
However, I will note that Big John’s PFI’s selection is mostly items from Southern & Western Europe. This is not a detractor at all, but if you’re someone like me who often shops for Eastern European goods specifically, you may not find what you’re looking for. That said, it’s still well worth a trip & I guarantee you won’t leave empty-handed.”

However Jamar made my night, he will take the time to reclean. I get my family night perfect. I really needed this. Thank you so much Jamar. “Great quality meats every time! This will be my go to spot for beef moving forward. There was a mishap on the last order but the staff were quick to fix the miscommunication so that we could have a great family dinner. I didn’t expect them to drop off the missing item to my house but super appreciative of Lance and EC Wilson. Very grateful they sell direct to consumers.”
“Bob's was the only butcher I could find in the city that had salt pork. It was well worth the 45 minute trip from Ballard (with the holiday traffic). I bought 3lbs of the salt pork so I could avoid the trip the next couple of times I make baked beans.
I go to Geraldine's pretty regularly, so I'd seen Bob's before, but never been in. I was pretty impressed with their selection and the number of niche items they offered. It was a bit hectic inside, but it was two days before thanksgiving, so that's understandable.
Going forward Bob's is going to be my go-to when my neighborhood butcher doesn't have what I need.”

They actually refunded the packaging fees for bottles of ketchup ( without me asking them). Other businesses would have pocketed the money so I appreciate the proactive honesty.”
“Rain Shadow Meats has the most delicious and freshest options for meat with competitive pricing. They also carry a variety of other items, such as local organic garlic and onions and heirloom tomatoes that actually taste like how tomatoes used to taste (real) at affordable prices too! Nika ordered a specific type of cut of meat for me that was out of stock the other day and I bought it today. She said I could call ahead for any requests, and they could stock pantry or grocery per my request! It’s amazing to have a small local grocer/butcher in the neighborhood that can cater to your needs. They also have a fridge that has things like soup, chili, and marcona almonds, among other items.”

“I was hoping for a better coffee selection than I found. I was looking for a particular mushroom coffee and I wasn't able to find it.
However, the vinegar selection had exactly what was needed for a recipe. There are some other things we purchased but that was the main reason we went there and we got exactly what was needed.
Apparently there's an app you can get that gives you discounts but I'm not interested in installing an app on my phone.”

“Sanity in a mug! After a frustrating day I was introduced to some good local wine by the glass and bought a tasty sandwich. You can sit in and enjoy watching the world go by. As a bewildered Brit I did not understand my way around the coffee menu but the staff were able to explain!”
“It's a convenient location, with all your essential Pakistani goods. Perfect for those in apartments nearby. However, prices are extremely high in comparison to other stores in the area.”
“They have a great selection of lamb, beef, and goat cuts. I bought some wonderful meaty lamb necks here. They cut it into nice sized pieces for me. Some other customers were getting cuts of meat ground for them.
