Peter Kirk Pool is a well-maintained swimming facility that offers a variety of areas including diving boards, lap swimming, adult and kids swim areas, and a baby wading zone. The pool is heated and open rain or shine, with clean lockers and showers, making it suitable for families and individuals alike. The swimming lessons are well structured, with attentive and patient instructors who help beginners improve their skills gradually. Many visitors appreciate the progress they make, from floating to turning and breathing techniques. The facilities are generally clean and the lifeguards are trained and attentive, ensuring safety during all activities. However, some find the short sessions of 30 minutes too brief and wish the pool was open year-round or offered longer classes. Parking can be challenging during busy times, especially when other events are happening. Pricing is considered high compared to nearby pools, with hourly rates around $6 per person, which can add up quickly for families. Additionally, the punch card system was confusing for some visitors, leading to frustration over costs and payment policies. Overall, Peter Kirk Pool provides a good swimming experience, with quality facilities and instruction, but could improve on pricing and session lengths.
My kid really likes swimming here during the week with grandparents but I really don’t understand why it’s closed on weekends… someone explain please.

This is an amazing public pool that we stumbled upon today. The staff is super friendly and helpful and we had a great time!

First time taking swimming lessons this summer and I have to say Eric was an amazing instructor and I hope to have them again in the future. I wish that the pool was open all year long. Also wish that the swimming classes were more than 30 minutes. It went too fast.
